I love this. The wisdom of watching, and just so you know God is faithful, the will makes sure that a grater grace is bestowed on you by so doing you become a propagator of God's wisdom to both young folks and older folks. The Lord is with you sir.
Love the story of Jonah! For me as a new Christian, evangelism has been one of the most anxious and convicting part of my walk. Knowing that God wants me to go and share my faith with others, and yet not finding in me the courage, urgency, desire, etc...to put my selfish views aside and be obedient is such a struggle. Thank you guys for this. It was so well-timed with my current season in my walk with the Lord! I love when Jesse pointed out that even when we mess up, God is sovereign and he can work in all things. We don't have to get it right 100% of the time, we just need to abide!
jonah's prayer shows a sign of humility and how God worked to humble him in the belly of the fish , strengthen his character and fall deep in the spirit that would allow him not to walk in his own distaste of the situation but see light through it , much like in the modern world where we God speaks to us to preach to non - believers or hostile grounds and we shy away , but because of the grace we have in christ we are brought back , strengthened in him .... Hallelujah, thank you guys for the bible study , i'm becoming a lover of reading the word in which was not happening in the past , God bless you all.
You guys are phenomenal! I am truly addicted to your videos ! Please don’t stop this ! God bless you three in Yeshua’s name, I pray the holy spirit keeps driving you three in life and in this broadcast. Thank you guys xxxx
I find myself watching this particular podcast multiple times, this was a really great breakdown of Jonah 1&2. Also, what Jesse beautifully illustrated at the end of the pod about taking a "deep breath" and "letting go" was brilliant. Also, tell Michelle my new favorite phrase: "Stinkin' Up!" lol God bless you guys.
Connecting Jonah sleeping in the storm with Jesus story was so mind blowing, the reminding us about knowing our identity in Christ just blew my mind away,God bless you guys and keep on making your cups overflow.
Like Jonah, we are often caught in a metaphorical net woven by our willful disobedience. Jonah's story profoundly personifies the internal struggle between our desires and the calling to obey God. His journey showcases how reluctance and rebellion can stem from various sources-self-righteousness, personal biases, and sometimes, outright resentment. I love how God used Bro Johan's life to explain that he is the only true and wise judge. I pray the wisdom of heaven will be bestowed on us all as we evolve in this Johan study. Bless you all🙏
love the bit about escapism. i relate so much. i never thought that by me not letting things stress me out could prevent me from growing in my trust in jesus, great points made!
My Key Takeaways: Emulating God’s Heart I need to reflect God’s love and grace in how I engage with those around me. Just as I’ve received His grace, I should actively "pay it forward" by responding to others with patience, kindness, and compassion. Reflecting on Escapism This is a time for introspection on areas where I might be avoiding or resisting God’s work within me. I need to acknowledge any tendencies to escape, so I can allow His presence to minister to me fully and bring me closer to His purpose. Surrender and Obedience I am reminded to surrender to God’s guidance and follow His direction, even when it challenges my human logic or feels uncomfortable. Trusting Him, especially when I don’t understand, is essential. Instead of resisting or questioning His instructions, I should allow Him to transform any doubts and strengthen my faith through obedience. God’s Unfailing Kindness God’s love remains constant, even when I fall short in obedience. His compassion and kindness will “spit me out of the fish,” meaning He will restore and guide me back, even after moments of failure, as long as I am willing to turn back to Him.
So good, I liked how Jonah was transformed through prayer. The transformation came because of the honesty with God like how he said he was distressed and how he truly felt about the people in Nineveh(the part which felt like he was dissing). Through honesty we see him saying salvation belongs to the Lord at the end and he will let his will be done. In prayer God is not looking for our pretty words but honesty and he will work with that to make us more like Jesus.❤❤
