Ruth stands out as a remarkable figure in the Bible, embodying qualities such as diligence, selflessness, loyalty, faith, divine providence, and grace-attributes that are truly admirable. It’s important to recognize the role of Naomi; she must have been an inspiring presence for Ruth and her sister-in-law, which explains their long-lasting bond with her, even though she had her weakens but she never forgot to seek the face of the Lord. Juas like Ruth, as Christians, we are called to fellowship and unite on the path of Christ, exemplifying the sacrificial love that He represents. May we all be granted the grace to embody Christ-like attributes in our lives. Amen.
I agree with Jesse , he fancied ruth instantly. In the book of song of Solomon "daughter and son" in this period was used by lovers for a term of endearment.
The book of Ruth shows us in order for someone to redeem 1, Must be a close relative 2, Must be willing 3, Must pay all the ransom 4, Must be able to pay the ransom Jesus fulfilled it all❤❤
Yesterday I randomly wanted to read Ruth 1. Then today when I saw a snippet of this podcast on Instagram, I had to come over on UA-cam. You have a new subscriber! Will definitely check out more of your content on UA-cam.
Just came across this and am so glad i did ..Thank you so much for the lesson... Because I've not been reading my Bible lately, literally been so inconsistent...but now I think God has made a way and helped me find a way to know more about his word. May God bless you all as you share his word😊.
It is so refreshing to see young people serious about true religion. Hold tight to Christ and what you have learned, be teachable, marry believers, be faithful and you will be blessed. I am Gen X and have seen leaders of my day, once very like you, fall on the wayside and have abandoned the faith. Only Christ can sustain us into old age. I pray you will be kept by his grace and that your arms would be strong like Moses’. I pray you have Joshua and Caleb hearts. I pray you have spirits like Elisha and Elijah did.
On the onset, I could tell that this book of Ruth is very much fits into our current situation, context, season and generation where we are living in. Jesse quotes the book of Judges 2:10 where everyone did what they pleased and they didn't have fear of God. Doesn't those things appear visible from the naked eye and what we can hear across the world and in our society. Another context that I have taken note from the book of Ruth is the fact that Ruth chose to cling and hold on to Naomi because she wanted to forsake her former way of life. She wanted to get rid of the old practices, traditions and customs that her family used to live by and go by. Something that I have picked up from the first chapter of Ruth. You know at first you can never understand what God is until later you embrace and take in stride whatever he wants to achieve. I would like to add that I have come to grow in love and it has become part of my routine to tune in and listen to One Way channel. Glad to see many coming and joining this UA-cam channel Xenia, Jesse and Izzy🔥🔥🔥🔥💯👌🏾. Loved the family tree as well and those little snippets that you have added brings more life to the study. Hence, I'm very much excited to see those two back in the study as well. Also, I had never taken note from Xenia when we compare and contrast our lives with others who aren't born again we tend to miss the mark. We ought recognize that we are set apart and God knows when he will pour out his blessings upon our lives.
There is so much to pick from this book of Ruth and actually I have loved your thoughts Izzy, Xenia and Jesse💯👌🏾. And especially you talked about that book by Charles Spurgeon you related with. Also, Xenia how you demonstrated how we ought not loose sight that we need to live out our faith, our convictions and our belief based upon our faith in God and we are saved from the wrath of God. And we ought to stand out for the right things and for being faithful towards we have saved from.
33:37 I agree with Jesse, it's what a man would do, plus it was at that moment he knew he was going to marry her😂 Edit: On second thoughts, yeah he was being kind, the "My daughter" ended it😅
Not always poor in spirit. Many people can be sinning in terms of doing drugs or what have you but they have the biggest heart. Those that are marginalized or excluded carry the fruit of the spirit & the passion & love deeper than many who call themselves Christians. They just need to be awaken by the holy spirit. Those people are the ones who become the most on fire people for Jesus 🔥
We recently did a study on the book of Ruth in church. It's an amazing and like you said a redeeming story. The Moabites were idolaters and Ruth made the bold step to follow Naomi. Putting away her past life and accepting God becoming a proselyte Jew. You're thinking popular bible verse Luke 9:12!!! Yeah she took the plough and never looked back. And she was a virtuous woman. The genealogy of Boaz was even more interesting because he could trace his ancestry from Rehab the Harlot from the city of Jericho!! Did you see the wonderful connection, God using strangers for his plans. Ultimately making Ruth the ancestral mother of Jesus Christ. What a story!
couldn't find the book that Jesse was talking about in 27:02 does anyone know what book? i know he says the title but nothing shows up. author of book?
We like first then we listen.....here to take notes
Fr😂
