- Wow, what an incredible journey diving into Linkin Park's iconic track "In the End"! This was my first time experiencing the song AND the band, and I must say, it left an indelible mark. The blend of rock and rap, the intense lyrics, and that unforgettable chorus - it's clear why this song has captured the hearts of so many.

I recomend "numb" , "somewhere i belong", "leave out all the rest", "waiting for the End", "papercut", "Beakin the habits", "One more light", "what I've done", "new divide"; "the catalist", "inrisident". "castle of glass", "halfway rigth"..... all amazing songs

Linkin Park music evolved over the years. Each album they tried new things. A few of my favorite songs are leave out all the rest, one more light, bleed it out and sorry for now. Have a wonderful day and blessed day!

Linkin Park is a band that has always liked to blend sounds from different genres.
They struggled initially to get signed, and when they finally did, the record label tried to change them; going so far as to try to get the singer Chester, the new guy in the band, to do a "coup" against rapper Mike who founded it. Chester told them to go fuck themselves 🤘
The band cut near all contact to the label, and told them "if you don't like what we do, you can drop us".
Then they released one of the two best selling debut albums of all time, and sky-rocketed to success, proving the label wrong. Only to be plagued with infuriating rumours from magazines about how "the label made them", some even editing the band members into test tubes to illustrate how "manufactured" they were.
Their second album was massively successful as well, and the band found themselves with an opposite challenge now; people were saying "please don't change your sound". But the band didn't want to get stuck in a box, doomed to release vol. 10 of the same old sound.
The band had to fight, especially with themselves, to dare leave the blueprint sound behind, and make what they were excited about making. After a brief hiatus, the band released their third album, which was very different to their first two. Obviously, many fans were very, very unhappy with this, and accused the band of "selling out", when in fact, the opposite was true. Thankfully, the band kept releasing the music they wanted to make, each album sounding different to the next, sometimes going from polished electronic to raw metal to pop.
Sonic whiplash is definitely part of the longtime Linkin Park fan experience 😂❤
My favourite album is their fourth album, A Thousand Suns, and I'd definitely love to see you react so some songs from that album. But I think it would be most fun, and most rewarding, if you listened to a bit more of their early sound before moving on, so you get a bit of an impression of their evolution; as long as you keep enjoying what you hear, of course!
"In The End" is from their debut album, which honestly is one of those albums where you generally don't really skip a track. Still, if I had to pick, I'd say listen to "Papercut" and "Crawling" as well.
From their second album, you certainly need to hear their other megahit "Numb".
How many I'd recommend from each album depends on whether you like it or not. If you love it, I'd say listen to more from each album; if not, go through 1 or 2 from each album to see if you enjoy another album's sound more.

Mike Shinoda raps in this one, showcasing more of himself, which is fantastic. He's super talented! If you're up for more tracks where he intertwines with Chester's vocals, "Lying from You" is a great choice (although there's no video for it). With the video "Papercut," "Somewhere I Belong," "Faint," and the powerful "QWERTY" (live version from Summer Sonic Tokyo 2006) are worth checking out. And for more of Chester's prominent vocals, you won't regret listening to "Numb", "Given Up," "Lost," "From the Inside," and "Crawling." Enjoy the music journey! ❤

Yeah, they are one of the huge names of the sub genre "nu metal", so rap is a common element in their music (even though they pretty quickly strayed away from this genre and always tried to reinvent themselves). Funny thing is that the label wanted to exclude the rap part/Mike Shinoda and focus on Chester/more pure rock when they were signed, even though Mike was THE founding member and Chester newly recruited. But the band didn't give in. Label totally didn't predict this incredibly successful formula.
This is one of the softer songs but there are some songs that are more rock and are more on the darker side (Given Up) and they also have really soft songs as well (My December). It is not possible to put Linkin Park in just one genre because they are their own genre. The first 2 albums had more mix of rap, pop, rock, and electronic music. Their later albums are all different from each album. They made music they wanted to listen to first and hope their fans want to listen to it as well.

Chester had a wide vocal range. He could sing any song he wanted to. Chester had the voice of an angel and the scream of a demon.
