Yep exactly! That's another name for it. Levy was the rich family. Apparently the apparition that I talked about in the video that showed them the Santa Rosa spring (according to some legends) also whispered the name "La Rambla" to them so that is what it is known as locally. (The Ramble?)
Awesome video...it brings so many memories of my childhood, when me and my cousisns used to play in La Rambla ruins. We visited our relatives from Lares, every weekend and it was a magnificent playground...the center of the town were some of my cousins lived, and then the mountains were some of the rest of the family had their coffee, banana, and plaintain fields. All kinds of great adventures with the perfect scenario to trigger the imagination, we were free and happy roaming around.
As soon as I saw that you were going to Lares, first thing I wondered is "oh my God are you going to the ice cream shop???" And that's the first thing you guys show us that's so great love the video. Keep up all the good work
Fun fact! Lares has hidden tunnels which connect to the church and alcaldía, one of the tunnels can be found in La Rambla. It is said that they connect as far as San Sebastián!( These were made for the revolution)
My high school friends and I went there and rumors said it had up to 7 floors underground. I never went that far to find out (not safe) but we had some legendary artists and singers come with us to explore it back in the day. Fun times in the early 70s.
I always enjoy all your videos, nice that you find so many out of the way places in PR. I also must comment that unlike many other people making content in PR, you use the proper musical background, I am so tired of watching videos made in PR with calypso music in the background in PR it must be salsa.
Thanks Rafael! I love music of all types so I am not always only going to put salsa, but yes, many times it just fits the vibe the best! That's what I try to look for in the music. Plus, it has to be free use music for youtube so it's sort of limited in selection. They are really strict about it or I would put some Frankie Ruiz or LaVoe on! Sometimes when we are snorkeling in the sea or if someone is playing steel drums, calypso is the best option, but definitely here in PR the natural soundtrack is salsa, plena, bomba, reggaeton, merengue and bachata mostly maybe some cumbia thrown in for good measure! :-)
OMG. I can't believe you got videos of "La Rambla". It's where every high school kid went to when we played hooky from school, LOL. We would have large groups go there with booze, music and food just to hang out until we were chased away. Great memories from the 70s.
