Another enjoyable video! Loved it, and the way Dad carried Aiden brought back memories. I'm wondering if the land around Valentina Waterfall is privately owned. Your family was the only ones there, unlike the other waterfall I've seen in other videos of PR.
I am not sure of the ownership, but yes, it seems to be a lot lesser known. That's why some people say I shouldn't share the secrets, but there's so many spots you'll never run out if you're willing to walk through tall grasses and steep hills haha

There are no gators in PR; however, there are caimans in some areas closer to the coast. As far as snakes, there’s the PR Boa and invasive pythons, but no venomous snakes or other critters.
I don’t know we’re this person has seen an alligator in Puerto Rico because I lived here all my life and I have never seen an alligator. Snakes are mostly found in the countryside but they are usually harmless.
You obviously don’t live in PR. Los rios de PR estan podridos de caimanes. Just give it a few more years and you would see them as much as you see the iguanas 🦎
Growing up in Hawaii as a white 'haole' boy, I didn't have any trouble going to elementary school, but things changed in middle and high school. Lots of fights and prejudice. Thinking of Aeden as he is getting bigger. I am curious if you know if there is a similar issue in PR schools? I mean I completely understand why this can exist, considering what the US has done. Just trying to learn everything I can about PR. Another nice video, Thanks!
Thanks Kris! There is some racial/ethnic tension here, but I don't think it's nearly the same as it is in HI. Most people are very loving and welcoming of people of all backgrounds as most Puerto Ricans have a wide ethnic mix (European, African, Indigenous) themselves! I think Aeden will do fine especially since he is becoming very fluent in Spanish and knows a lot about the culture and island.
@@LifeTransPlanet That's really good to hear. This seems to be true through most of LATAM. I was in Colombia earlier this year and nearly everyone I met was nothing but kind and easy to talk to, despite my functional at best Spanish... Really happy to hear Aeden won't have to deal with what I went through. I have two nearly grown boys and know what it can be like as a parent. I subscribe to you and a few other PR UA-camrs because I get to learn so much about the islands life, culture and keep practicing my Spanish. So appreciative for the small window into the Boricua world, I know how much work it is putting these videos together!
We Puerto Ricans don’t have does issue because our country is a mixed country we have white Puerto Rican, mixed Puerto Ricans , and a small percentage of black people so yea I don’t think he’s going to look any different from the white people here in PR 🙄

Nice video as always, but please be careful with snakes and alligators, they are all over the place on the island.
Some places.
I've seen a few snakes, but never an alligator yet.

I haven't ever seen them either though I've seen some people hunting caiman in Vega Baja and other areas but not around here.
Alligator or caiman aren't part of puerto rico people and the black market has been smuggling them the Last 30 years
