How consistent are your 60' and 1/8mi times with that T56? Most of the hardcore LS guys (that I know) in the 3rd gen chassis have swapped to either a built TH400 Or Powerglide. Just to keep their dial-in times consistent. Either way, sweet car, and thanks for your response.
+Matt Walter Or at least I should say the consistency of the shifts are because of you. That's the beauty of stick. It makes you earn it and when you do it is good.
Rubbed his nuts all over that mustang on the launch . Those damn 3rd gens are so hard to build. I had an 83 Z28 in high school. Had the shitty 305. The shop Iworked at we put a late model 350 from a Z71 truck in it. It was making around 400 hp at the flywheel. The problem is there is absolutely zero room for true duel exhaust. Haha I remember my boss did a 90 degree bend coming off the headers. Wrapped it around the oil pan . We turned the pipes down right after the axle . Oh and if you build one. Forget long tube headers . Gotta use the shorties. I loved laying waste to rich kids in their BMW'S and Vettes at my high school lol
Is this N/A? What cam? I was hoping my car would run 11s with my ls2 ms4 cam, tick level 5 tr6060mag, monster stage 3, and moser 9" w/locker. Nice launch and shifting man
What an awesome launch!! I have a third gen trans am with a 383 stroker with a t56 i have a hard time to get my tires to hook. I haven't done any upgrades on suspension or done anything with the rear end yet all stock in that area. What rear end gearing did you go with on this?
gearing is a tuning aid based on rpm range of the engine. i've had a lot of different ratios in the car, but at the time of this video (taken nearly 5 years ago now) i believe i had a 4.30 gear in it with a 26" tire. spend your money on a good set of shocks ;)
Matt Walter just curious... What was your rpm on the highway on 6th gear with those 4.30? My car currently can go 70 mph at 1500 rpm on the highway. I been thinking about putting 3.73's but some people tell me to just go with 4.10 just because i have a sixth gear.
@@MattWalter1 and my 4th gen M6 3.42 6th@60=1500 6th@80=2000 6th@100=2500 6th@120=3000 and around 100 in 6th is just when you start hearing the engine and feel a bit of torque. That’s a stock engine with flowmaster muffler only. Hope this helps 🍻 lol
Matt Walter just wondering, about how many launches can you get out of that clutch?? and whats the horse power on that thing. I'm thinking of doing something similar with a 427lsx, not sure if the T56 can hold up though.. lol
No idea man. I bought it used with 10k miles on it lol. I have no idea what kind of abuse it saw before I got it. It's been holding up well so far though!
At the time of this video i had a jegster non-adjustable torque arm, bmr lca relocation brackets, jegster subframe connectors, competition engineering 3-way adjustable rear shocks with lakewood 90/10 struts. trimmed stock v6 springs all around and a 3053S mickey thompson tire (26x10.00 stiffwall). things have changed since then.
Charlie, it was a few things honestly. i changed tires, gearing, rear shocks, and torque arm. i went to a longer arm, viking double adjustable shocks and the car is running a 28x10.5 stiffwall mickey thompson with tubes now and currently geared with 4.71's. for 2016 i swapped the vikings out with afco double adjustable big gun shocks on the back and put their double adjustable struts up front. the consistency is unmatched by any other setup i've had. new trans is going to be a complete game changer, so keep an eye out for newer videos :)
+FullForce1972 it wasn't fast on this pass. maybe mid 1.5x or something. this launch was a result of a bad day and zero cares given anymore. i have since gotten much better/faster.
Im building mine somewhat similar. Drag coil overs, founders rear suspension. T56 402 l92 heads, stock intake, 250 n02. I hope I can peak around 550rwhp on motor. I hope I can run a high 8. I'm not going to have a cage, its for no et. I will try to get it down to 3400 race weight.
GOOD LAWD!!! I have mad respect for anyone that launches their manual car balls to the wall like that! Its violent!
Now that is a pure muscle car with a real stick shift. Huge fan of 3rd Gen Camaro with T56. Great respect.👍
You should see and hear this beast in person, bunch of us went "Racing" with him that day. Its a beast.
Sounds freaking sick! Love it
Nice keeping it a clean looking Sport Coupe. Looks so much better in my opinion. Also cool that you row your own.
found it shared on facebook, came here,,,,like it more! nice one chap.
thank you!

my car will Xerox time slips just like an automatic will

lol, it's true. a victory in a stick car is as sweet as nectar, lol!
just ate a foxbody LOL
civics eat fox bodys its not that hard. thats why people call them shitstain instead of mustangs
They call them that cuz it works. Never hear shitmaro.... Think about it.
@@johnmaxwell258 what are you even talking about? Foxbodys are renowned in the drag racing world.
Fuck yeah! Love to see some LS power being shifted down the track! Manual for life.
Daaaaaaayyuuuuum🤟🏿💯 need a hearing aid because of the headphones lol
Beast!
Hate to see that thing really hook up and be on its bumper....lol
That's badass
@lancelanphier9509 check out some of the more recent vids. There has been bumper scraping :)
This video inspires me
You had me at stick shift.
wow, that 3rd gen is fucking badass!
WOW 😍 A pushrod at 7800 RPM, incredible. Your car is spectacular.
Do you realize the LS is pushrod and those things can SCREAM?
Damn that thing is bad ass.
Idk but that mustang got owned!
Very nice. 👍
sweet run
Hot damn! That was sweet!!!!
that thing runs
DAMN!!! What build does he have!?!?!
Damn that was fast

they definitely present a ton of challenges, but with some dedication, you can very easily make longtubes work.
@@MattWalter1 oh yeah man I know it can. Mostly track racing . Mine was an everyday driver.

Nice launch and shifting man
yes it is, and has since been 10.4x's at 132 ;)
Bad ass man!
Yeah! Destroyed that fox body!
See ya later rustang!!!

redlight
That's pretty fast for a sloppy launch!
Damn I wish I was putting a lsx engine in my car but right now in the process of putting a 95 b body lt1 nd a 4l60e trans in my car
You ever get it done?
Try launching it at a little lower RPM to get rid of the wheel spin. Car sounds amazing at 7800 though lol
lol, i agree. the 2step is set at 5900. for whatever reason it didn't turn on when i pushed the button.
Matt Walter
Oh haha thats funny, but fuck it it sounds amazing at 7800 lol
Well I saw the 60’
sick, but red lighted the tree
Thanks! if ya don't go red now and then, you aren't trying hard enough!
Wondering what that rear axle is made of lol
unobtanium, filled with unicorn tears.
This is with the 6.0? or 5.3?
6.0
It's my gto but lighter
What clutch are u running?
What clutch are you running? and rearend! lol
moser 9", tick performance stage 2 t56 and monster level 3 ceramic clutch
Nice, thats some hard lanching right there!

gittyupalice96 t56's can handle about 700 ft/lb, so long as you don't get the baby input shaft version swapped out of 03/04 cobras.
What kind of suspension? Shocks/springs? Subframe connectors? What tire?
At the time of this video i had a jegster non-adjustable torque arm, bmr lca relocation brackets, jegster subframe connectors, competition engineering 3-way adjustable rear shocks with lakewood 90/10 struts. trimmed stock v6 springs all around and a 3053S mickey thompson tire (26x10.00 stiffwall). things have changed since then.
it leaves hard. my 60's sucks gonna change shocks and springs. hopin for the beast.
the 60 wasn't good on this pass. i don't recall what it was now, check out the newer videos and you can see it pulling the wheels way in the air.
Whats changed between then and the wheelie monster?
Charlie, it was a few things honestly. i changed tires, gearing, rear shocks, and torque arm. i went to a longer arm, viking double adjustable shocks and the car is running a 28x10.5 stiffwall mickey thompson with tubes now and currently geared with 4.71's. for 2016 i swapped the vikings out with afco double adjustable big gun shocks on the back and put their double adjustable struts up front. the consistency is unmatched by any other setup i've had. new trans is going to be a complete game changer, so keep an eye out for newer videos :)
What rear end gear and compression are you running
Naudis Mitchell I had 4.30s in this video. it was an 11.2:1 motor
what kind of 60' do you get out of it?
+FullForce1972 it wasn't fast on this pass. maybe mid 1.5x or something. this launch was a result of a bad day and zero cares given anymore. i have since gotten much better/faster.
+Matt Walter I thought I saw another video of you running 9.9x? What did you do to shave a full second off?
How fucking hard is it to keep still?? Jesus
What are you referring to exactly here?
stop (nose) picking!
what rwhp and tq also weight w/o you
no idea on rear wheel numbers. car was 3500lbs in this video as it sat on the starting line

Do u know flywheel number? I'm still in the air on what tire I should run
nope. never dyno'd the car. don't really care what HP it makes to be honest.
Dam haha
Engine too small.
