a masterpiece of visuals, music and general atmosphere! 👏🏻
Yes!
I have unfair expectations for my entertainment nowadays, but Son Lux’s pieces are consistently novel and satisfying
It’s not unfair to expect this from our kinds best creative minds. It’s what we all know is possible but hardly gets the light it deserves. Very great full to witness this
The depiction of a barely living middle aged man hunted by the childhood trauma of losing his father was masterfully done. The direction, the visuals, the music and Jongman Kim's performance is perfect. The 2:56 part... "I will not wait until im pulled below" hit me like a truck.
They really put their whole son lussy into this, love it
a serve
Not the son lussy 😂
This came out of goddamn nowhere but I'm SO here for it
NOT LIKE THIS
What
The unsettling sensation followed by the release of the tension, it feels like you are watching a movie, gracias Son Lux.
[Verse]
Count for me the cost
The number of tomorrows lost
Taken from the shore
Just waiting for the undertow
Stolen nice and slow
First the body, then the blame
And then the name
Sinking sand between my toes
I will not wait until I'm pulled below, oh, no
And nobody can see me
For who I will be
[Chorus]
So, please remind me
It's not too late
So, please remind me
Unbind me
It's not too late
So, please remind me
Come find me
If it's not too late
[Chorus]
Please remind me
Unbind me
It's not too late
So, please remind me
Come find me
If it's not too late
So, please remind me
If it's not too late
son lux makes me feel emotions that don't even exist in humans yet. absolutely killed it once again
Found you through Ren. You where nominated with him for best music video. Congratulations on your win. Very impressive video and beautiful song.
Hopefully folks will feel like checking Ren as well.
Me too, checking out who beat our guy.
I felt the cinematography was very good, but the story has me a bit confused.
Maybe because I have never heard of this artist.
Congratulations on your win.
whos ren?
@@JoaodeBastos-jc8ds He a UK artist that did Hi Ren in the award show you where nominated for. He from Brighton in Uk. His album that just came out us called Sickboi and got #1 on the Uk charts for the week it was released in October. He another fabulous artist to check out. I recommend you check out different songs by him. He done collaborations with Chinchilla like chalkoutlines. Other with artists like Bindi ( Crutch). Played in a bands like The Big Push.
Hope you enjoy exploring the music. Have a lovely weekend.
4:44 That re-re-reverse Snare! 😮 Damn! What an Experiment! 👌🏼
Yes, that snare ...
Not reversed, that’s Ian reaching under the drum to strum and flick the snares. We always called this the “zipper beat” because it sounds like a zipper
@@RyanLottMusic How interesting to hear this. When Tomorrows I first came out, I tried to recreate that sound and got something very close by automating the diffusion on Valhalla Delay, bouncing the wet result, and layering it ahead in time of the dry track.
@@RyanLottMusic I'd expect nothing less innovative from him.
Thank you so much for this! Your music is touching on another level and I'm so looking forward to see you guys next year in Hamburg! That track was exactly what I needed right now,.... unbelievable. Besides Sigur Rós you're the only ones to really catch my soul in sound. Much love!
Ich habe einen Tipp für Dich: das nagelneue Video von Kimbra, "Foolish Thinking". Du wirst staunen.
Also listen to Sevdaliza if you like Son Lux. You won't be sorry.
they don't only make great music here but also cinematic masterpieces that speak to your soul, love it
Son Lux go in HAm on this right here, straight up BANGER! He aint like all them goofies and oppas who just be using that *HIPVIEWS* dawwwt cawwwwm jawwwn to get mad exposure on they socials, SMH seem like anyone can glow up these days
I have no idea who this is or how this got my algorithm. But thank you, UA-cam for showing me this. It's rare that a song can bring me to Goosebumps and tears like this.
Such a positive surprise to see this bit - after all, already some time since the release of the album - getting a clip. I spent many hours with this song during some of my darkest days. It helped me go through them, when all the people actually had failed to help. I might still haven't reminded myself who I really am - but glad to have this piece of music near. Thank you for your creation, thank you for sharing this with us.
generational trauma?
The UA-cam algorithm randomly recommended me some of the best production I've ever heard
6:23 literally gave me chills
I've never heard this artist before. Somehow, I could tell from the thumbnail that this was going to be an incredible experience
This song can be interpreted depending on the listener, and yet so can be said about the video presented to the viewer. That in itself is a work of art.
Hello everyone who now here to hear this new masterpiece )))
Not new, but a masterpiece nonetheless.
This is actually very good. I mean, very very good.
Absolutely love this futuristic, distorted granular feel masterfully mixed with acoustic human touch...also great Cinematography too! amazing Son Lux. mad respect!
Son lux has been criminally underrated for years, can't wait to see them pop off
The music is so so beautiful. With the video together it feels like a memory I've forgotten. Like having nostalgia for something from another life. Y'all have the ability to create such gorgeous experiences.💛💛💛 Lots of love💛💛💛💛
Ryan sings "please, remind me" in this amazing song. Ryan, you can be sure that after this beautiful piece of video art done by Alex Cook this song will move from "memorable" to "unforgettable". What a work. Thank you
This is a really powerful artwork! Thank you guys for continuing to impress us!
No it wasn’t. This was shit
I need this to become a full feature film! Absolutely breathtaking,Son Lux never disappoint
I love how this whole thing forces me to look deeper into the whole thing, got me feeling like an English teacher reading Shakespeare.
All time favourite group. Son Lux is just an absolute acid trip of beauty.
Stunning video- A24 just called ;)
What a mind blowing experience! Thank you so much for your hard work!
I am really glad to have been recommended this video… all aspects are stunning - Thank you.
man this really got to me (no surprise). maybe it's because i'm feeling vulnerable right now, maybe son lux is just that powerful, probably both. but I broke down watching and listening to this. son lux always provides a much-needed release of emotion
I am so happy and thankful this came up on my recommended..... blown away on how this made me feel. Thank you Son Lux..
Your music is feeding my soul and cleans my mind for years now. Thank you for this.
That water, it seems like a tumor. Really meaningful video. It's impressed me a lot
I spent like 4 years looking for this artist. I am so glad I found them again! Fucking beautiful music. I want to use their songs in short films so bad.
Why did I, a grown ass man, cry twice during this 7 minute video
same
You were in my recommended some day over a year ago, today I watched "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and like way in the beginning I hear this "whale noise" whatever you call it, and I instantly thought back to this song. I was so surprised that you made music for the movie. Congrats! love this song
This just hits you at a different level thank you so much
When I watched this the first time I had no idea what to expect and had to let the story of the music video marinate in my brain. On the second time I had full on tears running down my face.
Anyone else looking for weapons?
I felt this song touch my soul. That sure doesn't happen every day. Thank you Son lux, for making me feel something like that again.
I'm just so glad I'm alive at this time to have son lux music and art in my life. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
it gave me the same feeling as the movie parasite directed by Bong Joon Ho
Is this another side project from Hot Chip or Low Roar? I'm getting serious Hot Chip and Low Roar vibes
Can't wait for this!
the 4:44 "drop" is some crazy drum magic
Some old fashion Trip Hop
I definitely thought Hi Ren was more deserving of the award for best music video. But congratulations on winning anyway.
llevo años esperando que Son Lux alcance la grandeza que se merece
Oh well, here we go crying again... Last time was with All Directions, now it's this. Thank you!!!
Btw: this is about depression, right?
i love your music, you guys are legends. all of you. ryan, ian and rafiq. stay true to yourself. love from kazakhstan. would love to see your concerts here. have a good day xx
Салам алейкум от кокчетавца-калининградца!
Not what i would have thought the video would have been for this song, but also not completely out of left field
I like
Reminds me of the show Dark on Netflix. Love it
The song and video were absolutely beautiful, I missed son lux🥲🥲🥲
My brain cant even comprehend stumbling across such perfection with their, music, visuals and everything
This is pure art.... Simply amazing. Quality of this vid is just...
Epic.
Can this be somehow turned into a film?
my my, please be in death stranding 2.
I lost a friend, but he's still with me. It always feels like nobody could ever understand... Thank you.
There's this song called, lost a friend, it's great and helped me when I was in the same spot as you
@@raivu6737 by Finneas? Thank you bro... I hope you're doing alright too... people just don't seem to realize/understand. Sending love.
I know you're reading this. Cheers from Radoslaw /|\
Эта встреча со своим"ничто"тянущиеся из детства..
The freaky warm loving inviting yet sinister tone to this is screwing with me
Same!
это так потрясающе. у меня нет слов. душа перевернулась. музыка, монтаж, актерская игра. вот это и называется настоящим шедевром.
netflix level video. very very very cool.
Somehow reminded me, not only visually, but also emotionally of the Annihilation movie 👏🏼
This video needs to be annihilated 😂. What trash
this song is so beautiful
J'adore !
Wow. That was an amazing audio and visual experience. Thank you!
As always, you guys continue to amaze me. Son Lux, Alex Cook and your team amazing job!
Looking forward to it!
Death Stranding vibes
I can't wait
Your music is always so unique and beautiful, and whenever we get these videos they live up to the song. Amazing as always ❤
Обожаю сверхъестественные вещи в кратком контексте, краткость сестра таланта.
come to istanbul again
Short movie 🖤
Incroyaable !! J'ai eu des p'tits frissons !!
yes please
Wow, I'm still processing, but what a message!
could you please explain? I don't get it
Can you explain what the message is? Does it have anything to do with depression?
@@NotChaix In my interpretation, the waters are the emotions, the character as a kid passes through a tough event and has to deal with emerging waters from the underground (here representing the unconscious), but he is stopped from doing so. As a grown up, the waters are still there, he needs to face them, they are getting more and more present in this moment of his life, but he's not aware of it. There comes a time when the emotions are so strong that it gains enough energy to haunt him. In the end, instead of running away, he faces it and deals with it. Another point is that it might be hereditary, his father died from running away from his emotions, and the character breaks the cycle, allowing his kid to no longer surfer from the lost of a parent. So yes, maybe depression can be the symptom of the unhealed trauma.

Just what i needed to match my current state of mind 💘💥
it's not a mumble rap it's indie hush electronica
BRO THE FKING END
I totally forgot about this song for the last 6 months. The moment I heard the beginning I instantly remembered it. Both the video and the song are so stunning
No it isn’t. This was garbage. 😂
Hi Ren was the deserving winner!!
thank you for that
this wet my ears
this is astonishing and truly a beautiful form of what feels as nostalgic art
Someone, write the meaning of the song, I will translate into my language through a translator, please. The music is magical, I really lack understanding of the context of the song to immerse myself to the end. Thank's
Silent Hill
Laurie brown. The signal.
wait what
This is something I've always remembered watching but it only become possible to tell myself that about 1 month ago
Ghosts?
Wow
UA-cam algorithms really outdid themselves for this one. fuckin bonkers. loving this.
O que foi isso?!?!?!?!
🧠💥
🇧🇷
This track should be on Death Stranding 2, amazing work!
🖤
There's a unique style here that I wish there was more of
Never heard of this artist before, but when I saw the name of the song, I thought it was a cover of Tool's Undertow
