@@marcusblackwell2372 Onomatophobia is the fear of hearing particular words. Its the trigger phrase for Cipher 9's programing. When they hear it, they are forced to obey the command.
So they develop Onomatophobia in a sense
The Sith Inquisition was a supercharged Imperial Intelligence and knowing how brutal the Sith counterpart the regular Sith citizens had to be creative in how they eliminated any threat that could even remotely endanger their Emperor and his Empire, and they were extremely effective against any enemy that stood in their way.
How can you not respect that level of efficiency and dedication to maintaining obedience in their agents? It's extremely fucked up, but you cannot argue with results.
I actually saw a glimpse of the Imperial Intelligence's methods and promotion procedures in Mera Jade's old comic. That Ysanne was incredible😨

This is why the IA playthru in SWTOR is so fascinating, being the one class story out of 8 with alternate (Darkside/Lightside) endings. 🙂 In the episode at the end of chapter 1, there are 4 different "endings" (2 are LS, 2 are DS).
SWTOR's Sith Empire just keeps looking like Galactic Empire turned up to 11

I contrast my Imp agent with a sith inquisitor it nice having an absolutly insane person who answer to everything is to force lighting it even if the person is being helpful to a fault

my favorite thoughs about Imperial Intelligence, Imperial Agent in SWTOR is one of the best storylines in that game, because it shows alot of behind the scenes stuff and how the sith prefer to play games against other sith instead of using them to defeat the Republic.
You'd think serving the sith is already rough, you gonna start hating the sith after u played as a Imperial.
How the Sith are wasting all those resources to infighting, while Imperial Intelligence is the only thing preventing the sith empire from falling apart.
i love how Keeper says it at the start of the storyline:
'We are Sanitation workers, we Clean up after the sith and the Military and do the jobs that no one else will. Without us though the Empire falls apart.'
It's also telling when you look at the class stories
Republic all 4 damage the empire greatly though smuggler has a profit first option to be a equal opportunity pirate with the fleet you take over but even if your raiding the republic you still stopped the imperials take over of the galactic underworld.
Imperial
Both sith fight mostly other sith and imperial troops not the Republic well the agent fights a threat to both Republic and empire.
The only imperial class fighting the Republic as their end game is the bounty hunter who isn't even technically imperial and even than you can off a dark council member at the end for fun.

I always thought it funny that, if you played the Agent, the Eternal Alliance's leadership (Commander, Theron, and Lana) were all spies.
For a terrifying force, they sure didn't do much to change the tides of galactic history. Them having their ultimate fates being a mystery doesn't help them (or maybe it does, in a romantically shady aspect).
Another way to look at is, we don't know how much they've shaped history. The Sith aren't the type to declassify documents after all
They were so shady, nobody not even themselves know what happened to their organization. XD.
In the game SWTOR, Imperial Intelligence ends up getting dismantled by the Dark Council because the Sith feared that Intelligence was getting too powerful in obstructing Sith agenda, and there was also a major conspiracy that directly led to the downfall of Imperial Intelligence. The organization discontinued to exist, but all its assets and personnel were reassigned to be integral components of military units or Sith powerbases. It was then replaced by Sith Intelligence, which would be directly subservient to Sith Lords unlike Imperial Intelligence who had autonomy from Sith control. However, Sith Intelligence proved to be very inefficient in a short time and other reformed reincarnations would never reach the peak Imperial Intelligence did, all the way until the Sith Empire eventually disintegrated.

Spoiler alert - if during your playthru post KOTFE and KOTET you remain loyal to the Empire, your IA character becomes the next Keeper.

Also, what these guys did to control their agents makes what Palpatine did with the Clones look like child's play.
To be fair, there were way less intelligence agents running about than there would be clone troopers.

You have to have good intelligence to have a good military. The Imperials had great intelligence, and the end result was a great military capability.
Yet, at the same time, Imperial Intelligence even fell victim to Sith infighting.

Speaking of the Old Republic era, is it possible for the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire to sign another treaty if the new war ended in stalemate?
The way things went since the Third Galactic War, I don't think either side was in the mood to sign another treaty

@@lerneanlion In an extreme circumstance, yes. There was a resource crisis for both sides after the war with Zakuul. There could've been a preiod of a treaty after the Third Galactic War I haven't read about. It'd be really I imagine Treaty of Coruscant 2.0 to buy both sides time to build up arms.
I believe the Third GW was a lot more brutal and bloody with the race and desperation to get resources, have any form of edge during the war.
If another treaty did happen, we'd just be stuck in a Cold War again and the war would reiginite in given time.
@@rangerslayer2260 Either the Cold War or some sort of arms races worked for me as long as the treaty remained in effect. This is for the sake of the galaxy’s population, of course. Especially, those in the Outer Rim.
@@lerneanlion The Cold War signed by signatories after Coruscant was held hostage, brought merely unstable 10yrs of "peace". Yes, it allowed both sides to recover from the First Galactic War. build up their arms. In fact, the Republic was constructing superweapons during that 10yr gap, as were the Empire. However towards the latter half, border skirmishes began to occur. The Cold War collapsed into the Great Galactic War around 12 or 13 ATC.
