Mary Johnson has such personal integrity and courage. Yes, for a while, she did break her vows and live a secret life; but she recognized her lack of authenticity and changed her life. How many people never take the steps the know they should out of fear or other inhibitions. I hope she and her family are close and that their religiosity does not prevent them from embracing their daughter. I'm gonna have to read this book!

I don't think Rosie fully read the based on the questions or she read very fast because she has another author lined up to interview. It was a beautiful book. I think if one was raised as a practicing Catholic or had clergy in their family can really totally understand. The Catholic Church and being born Catholic is like being born in a culture of it's own within whatever culture that is around it.
Anyway, I could think of more deeper or interesting questions to ask Mary in an interview.
