Trying to lab around this bossfight and finally defeating her was really fun for me. Would have been nice if we had the option to fight the stage again just for the fun of it.
Feels bad when almost every meta comp requires Liter. I'm still missing her and in her place I've been focusing on more tanky/mass clear comp: Pepper, Centi, Noah, Modernia and Laplace. It did help me get to Nihilister pretty fast but sadly I'm lacking damage for individual bosses. I guess for now I'm just gathering power because switching Centi for Novel or other DPS Nikkes did not help much. Still thanks for the video as it did provide some useful advice.
Glad it was still helpful! Yeah, something I noticed when I used tanky/healer comps was that I would survive, but run out of time. For some levels/bosses, it's about finding the right balance This one is just really rough without Liter rebuilding cover. Centi's skill 2 might work as a pseudo cover, if the rest of the team can pick up the slack in DPS
Well i do use ludmilla core2 sometimes since her power is quite high, around 26k for me. But really the 22k powered liter helps more, since my ludmilla keeps dying easily even with rapunzel heals a lot
@@QtpieM Minigun isn't really a problem for me, phase 2 is. I tried switched Noah with Drake and while it gave me more DPS I still lack: damage, time and survavibility for phase 2. Guess it's farming time until more overloaded gear or getting Liter.
@@scarvenger9948 perhaps try to not use modernia burst at all to increase overall dps but u might have alr done this which means ya... Lvl and gear are your only options
Wow helm was so useful for the heal !! I lost my only burst 2 on phase 2 when she had 7 bars left but I managed to finish before by taking down one of the dragon's head
hey, love your content. Something that should be mentioned is that there's currently a bug that allows you to skip phase 2 of the boss. I cover it in a video I made (just today actually haha). I don't know if they'll patch it or leave it in the game like the modernia story boss bug.

I would love to try, if the game would allow us to replay completed levels Imagining that a Liter-less run would include: - Biscuit (to rebuild shield) and a shielder or dmg taken debuffer (Poli/Aria/Centi/Novel) - Likely Pepper in the B1 slot to help keep the team healthy, while providing decent dmg - All around higher equipment, skill and Nikke levels, with much higher DPS - All of which increases combat power and reduces the debuff
Thanks for your content ! For me this stage must have to balance the team with damage and heal. It was so hard for me because i dont have Helm so i try to use pepper instead of helm, but i cant make it in time. I think i should wait for the power for raise up or some overload gear on dps 😢
My pleasure! Yeah, this is one of those rare campaign levels where I needed a healer That debuff due to lower combat power really hurts, but levelling up that equipment will help. Good luck!
@@Nuraini_vineo Yes - essentially, if Nihilister's health reaches the threshold to enter phase 2 (~51 bars) while she is jumping - she will die after the phase 2 animation ends. I explain in the video description on why I chose not to cover this

The change to SD/chibi models is just for today (currently April Fool's day in Asia timezone). We will have the regular models back after reset time tomorrow. Weird that only some game modes allow you to switch it off, such as the event stages: imgur.com/a/MvD9Vlc
For this specific fight, Liter is especially good to rebuild cover and damage boost. So the replacement depends on your bottleneck. Cocoa can help to rebuild cover, but there is some DPS loss. Pepper can help heal your team, especially since your cover will be destroyed. This also puts more focus on destroying the projectiles to help save your cover Centi might help as B2, since she has a shield, but again, there is DPS loss and small strategies such as, spamming no-charge attacks will be needed to build up full burst quickly
So I just beaten her yesterday with no Pilgrims. Liter Guilty Maxwell Privaty and Helm. 128K CP with 2 second left. I wish I recorded it but it was super closed. I was able to burst at the right time at the end of phase 2 (the rockets flying out) with Privaty so that bought me enough time to beat her. Burst Privaty then Maxwell (to pierce the mouth attack to hit both gunners,) then Helm and back to Maxwell until Phase 2. I’m at 55 second left at that point. I get enough burst just to take out the rocket swarm and it allowed me to kill her in time. All of this as a F2P player so I’m super happy I did it.
@@SquishyRollingPanda I had to be super micro on that. Constant spam with Maxwell then time my burst so I can do damage but do the interception with enough damage.
Dorothy I imagine would be good for phase 1, since there are so many boss parts. But I'm surprised you did overall better with Dorothy, since Liter should be able to rebuild cover over the long run
@@SquishyRollingPanda I have no cover problems when using Liter but I seem to lose DPS, whereas Dorothy in terms of damage is keeping up with Modernia and Guilty. My last run I got her to 3 hp bars but then my team died.

Focusing down those boss parts + clearing every interruption circle check is key to clearing this at a lower CP. OL equipment also makes a substantial difference
Thanks for the vid. I used similar comps to you (except I don’t have Sin so I used Rupee instead) and I even have slightly stronger characters as a whole (134k power for me). I still not have enough dps tho for some reasons. Could you please lemme know why? Is it because I play on my phone or something?
You're welcome! It should be doable at 134k power - what is your full team? For Liter's burst and Scarlet's skill 1, try to raise it to 10, especially since we have some skill reset tickets now. If you have a sniper or rocket launcher character, switch to them and manually low-charge spam their attack to build full burst quickly
@@SquishyRollingPanda Thanks for the adivce. My team has Liter (skill 10/7/10), Scarlet (10/7/9), Mordernia (8/9/4), Rupee (1/5/6), and Helm (1/4/4). All of my Nikkes are level 220 and my Scarlet has 3 overload gears (hat, armor, leg), while my Mordernia has 1 (hat). I was thinking that my Helm is the problem since she did not do enough damage but she also has a respectably good atk (35810). I tried for the past 5 hours and I still cannot clear the stage T-T.
@@bennieboi3683 Hmm, Helm didn't do much damage in my case anyways - so it's fine to keep her since she is really there to just heal. Since level 4 is cheap, upgrade her skill 1, to 4. It will grant your team extra chance of critical hits, for increased damage. For Modernia, make sure she has a hit rate increase OL gear stat, or assault cube - but she doesn't need both. If the OL gear gives her hit rate increase, giver her a different cube instead. Make sure you're destroying both legs in phase 1 and clearing all the circles each time they show up. In phase 2, focus on destroying the head. When you get to phase 2, how much time do you have remaining?
@@SquishyRollingPanda My Mordernia has a atk increase ass sub stat for the OL but I used Bastion cube for her so I will change to the assault cube and see if she can perform better. As for phase 2, I got like 40 secs left while I saw you and most people got a whole minutes left on the clock. It's funny because I destroyed both legs in less than 2 boss cycles and yet I still cannot reach phase 2 on time.
@@bennieboi3683 You should be able to pass the level today with that change! When Modernia has a "hit rate" increase status, it triggers the 2nd part of her skill 2, which provides ~20-30% more ATK.
Overloading a support or defender's gear would be my lowest priority, especially if I haven't overloaded an attacker's gear. For example, increased ammo on Liter isn't nearly as beneficial as having it on Drake For support/defender Nikkes, levelling up their skills will be more beneficial. But if I need an emergency boost in combat power and cannot upgrade my attacker's equipment, then I'll consider my supports/defenders

Unless you're stuck in some specific content, I would hold off upgrading/using crystal module for now. We have another double interception reward weekend coming up - so hopefully we all get some new attacker equipment to upgrade and overload!
I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. I follow this guide, I yeet all the circles but I can only get to Nihil with 30 sec remaining or so, and I'm 10k power higher. That extra ammo on the scarlet chest must help a lot. /grumble
can it be done if i change Guilty with admi? I have her 3 stars +1 and she gives crit and reload for scarelt.... i always reach about stage 2 and have no tiem at all and she has like 40HP bars left. i really dont know what ido wrong. my team is the same and i use admi like i said. i always destroy the legs but still i really dont get it why this is happening. i have 132.800 power and i am 213 lvl. i want to pass her so i work on inderseption and i am so angry i am stuck at her for 1 week now. i do the same i dont know what burst 2 i can use insteed of admi and i think it will be weak cause admi is 3 stars +1. please tell me ur thoughs.
If you have Scarlet and want to use Admi, adding Privaty is a must. With high enough skill level, Admi's burst skill + Privaty's skill one + reload cube will offer 100% reload speed reduction - maximizing Scarlet's dps Hope this helps you get more progress!
@@SquishyRollingPanda made it my friend i did it last second win XD i finnally made it... but 5400 points is too much like 50 days by paying 150 gems per day. 50 days is like 7500 not that much gems like 2 and half multy but for real the time to wait is tooooo long if they made it so u can do more mission per day like 3 more to make it 30 days to unlock it would be better. More gems spend but sooner. anyway thanks again for helping
You'll get there soon! The new event at least provides some upgrade modules to help upgrade your team. Every little bit of combat power will count and help!
i got to 20-31 a day ago but i can't beat it yet due to not having a strong enough power - sitting at 113k with rupee, modernia, scarlet, liter, and helm, hoping i can bag a good amount of core dust here soon
@@Sprite-Cranberry They are increasing the outpost level beyond 100 (after maintenance), which means the resource boxes you have, will give more materials I was tired after editing/uploading this video and made a mistake by opening up all 900 of my core dust boxes! 😂
@@SquishyRollingPanda Ouch, 900 is a lot lol. I heard about the possible outpost level increase quite some time ago but I didn't start saving until after they confirmed when they'd be increasing it (though I still used a bit for a few levels) and I have less than 500 of the 1 hour ones.
I would love to, but it's impossible for me as well since I can't go back to play previously completed stages 😢 One tip I can give is to destroy the 2 attack buff raptures ASAP, when the stage boss spawns

Another method is by using cocoa since she is also able to repair the cover. The other method might be utilizing Poli+Noah *but you'll lose many damage tough
@@SquishyRollingPanda I do have those two. My current team is liter, centi, modernia, helm, and drake. I'm finding I have to switch between the two teams with bunny girls and my regular team to clear different people out. While I'm at sync 213 right now and my two teams have full tier 9 but only a tiny portion of any part in the specialized. So no pilgrim attacker armor just yet. I think I'm just running into the problem of not enough dps output before the timer goes. I get her down to like 4-10 bars before time runs out depending on if I get hit with the flames. I gotcha though maybe I go for rabbit people run
Noise can work as a healer, but the risk is that she ends up taunting all of Nihilister's attacks and dies. You might need to manually control her at certain times to avoid taunting at the wrong time. Also recommend Rupee > Guilty if you have her
Liter-less, Rupee-less, Guilty-less (she still on jail since i first went with Quency at the time), Novel-less, Viper-less (this is what i gather among the comments that can replace on some units, sadly don't have them)..... though im trying with Pepper, Centi, Modernia, Scarlet, Drake/Privaty/Helm, still no good there is like 50-50 going and not going to 2nd phase, or just plain "out-ot-time", like 55 seconds left.... looks like it might take months or a year until i get Liter, level 204 still nothing came out for her nor Rupee... or just crossing my fingers, that if chapter 21 came out, hope they nerf Nihilster... or worst, Nihilster liberation training might take to next year sadly for this.... and still no OL gears, it will be a long journey because of the boxes they added, not to mention its RNG, but if i every got one for Pilgrims, i don't know if its for Modernia or Scarlet lols....
The silver lining is that there is no further campaign content after Nihilister right now,so you aren't missing out on much. And for Liberation, you cannot make progress on the original 3 characters and Nihilister concurrently. We have to choose one or the other - I would personally choose Guilty over Nihilister

If you're able to survive the full 3 minutes, then it sounds like a DPS issue. Closing the combat power gap only helps so much - but have that extra damage from higher levelled gear + special attributes can help even more
@SquishyRollingPanda yes, I fail because of time out I've reached phase 2 but with only 30 seconds or less left. And I just don't have enough time to kill it. I barely just got a overload gear( thanks to the package of 1/2 anniversary) Since I can barely reach 7 tier of dmg on interception S. I take the problem is prob cube related because I'm not in a strong union ( we place like rank 2k each time) and skill level related because I'm a very small dolphin when it comes to spending ( basically only the season passes for the costumes and tickets, And I've had brutal RNG since I'm past the 160 cap currently lv 219) so no buying of those skill lv up mats just day by day simulation 5-C clears and event giveaways. As far as my team, I've been using liter, modernia , viper , scarlet, privaty. Is the team I've reached the furthest in.
She's replaceable with an invested high DPS Nikke. Good choices would include: Alice (especially since she's on banner), Laplace (for boss part damage), Drake
I know right, this is always the case with UA-camrs who always give guides like why cant they just use without any pilgrim cause not everyone has scarlet or modernia. There's no guide that tells us the optimal thing that they need for CP that has no scarlet or modernia and does it requires OL gears as well? Like there's so much info we need and yet only just the optimal "meta" are being shown. Again not everyone has scarlet or modernia

If you're already using Liter for cool down reduction, I'd prefer Rupee as B2 over Guilty

Try switching Novel out for a strong B2 DPS such as: Guilty, Viper or Rupee

I did it without a healer, only used Scarlet reload team ( Privaty, Admi, Liter, Scarlet, Drake ) and cleared it with 134k power
if i dont have drake who could i replace
@@synnamon_toast_crunch use any unit, favorable those with buffs and or heal. Yulha is good since she has the biggest ATK buff in the game.

My main problem is by the time I get to phase 2 my cover is fucked, but I got closer to killing her with Dorothy than I ever did with Liter.
Dorothy I imagine would be good for phase 1, since there are so many boss parts.
But I'm surprised you did overall better with Dorothy, since Liter should be able to rebuild cover over the long run
@@SquishyRollingPanda I have no cover problems when using Liter but I seem to lose DPS, whereas Dorothy in terms of damage is keeping up with Modernia and Guilty. My last run I got her to 3 hp bars but then my team died.

Feels like I'm consistently lacking for dmg because of power difference. Used this very team and only got down to 30+ bars.
Focusing down those boss parts + clearing every interruption circle check is key to clearing this at a lower CP. OL equipment also makes a substantial difference

Thanks for the vid. I used similar comps to you (except I don’t have Sin so I used Rupee instead) and I even have slightly stronger characters as a whole (134k power for me). For Liter's burst and Scarlet's skill 1, try to raise it to 10, especially since we have some skill reset tickets now.
If you have a sniper or rocket launcher character, switch to them and manually low-charge spam their attack to build full burst quickly
@@SquishyRollingPanda Thanks for the adivce. My team has Liter (skill 10/7/10), Scarlet (10/7/9), Mordernia (8/9/4), Rupee (1/5/6), and Helm (1/4/4). All of my Nikkes are level 220 and my Scarlet has 3 overload gears (hat, armor, leg), while my Mordernia has 1 (hat). I was thinking that my Helm is the problem since she did not do enough damage but she also has a respectably good atk (35810). I tried for the past 5 hours and I still cannot clear the stage T-T.
@@bennieboi3683 Hmm, Helm didn't do much damage in my case anyways - so it's fine to keep her since she is really there to just heal. Since level 4 is cheap, upgrade her skill 1, to 4. It will grant your team extra chance of critical hits, for increased damage.
For Modernia, make sure she has a hit rate increase OL gear stat, or assault cube - but she doesn't need both. If the OL gear gives her hit rate increase, giver her a different cube instead.
Make sure you're destroying both legs in phase 1 and clearing all the circles each time they show up. In phase 2, focus on destroying the head.
When you get to phase 2, how much time do you have remaining?
@@SquishyRollingPanda My Mordernia has a atk increase ass sub stat for the OL but I used Bastion cube for her so I will change to the assault cube and see if she can perform better. As for phase 2, I got like 40 secs left while I saw you and most people got a whole minutes left on the clock. It's funny because I destroyed both legs in less than 2 boss cycles and yet I still cannot reach phase 2 on time.

When Modernia has a "hit rate" increase status, it triggers the 2nd part of her skill 2, which provides ~20-30% more ATK.
Hi.. quick question.. since Liter fit to almost all comps.. is it wise to overload her gear?
Overloading a support or defender's gear would be my lowest priority, especially if I haven't overloaded an attacker's gear. For example, increased ammo on Liter isn't nearly as beneficial as having it on Drake
For support/defender Nikkes, levelling up their skills will be more beneficial. But if I need an emergency boost in combat power and cannot upgrade my attacker's equipment, then I'll consider my supports/defenders

Unless you're stuck in some specific content, I would hold off upgrading/using crystal module for now. We have another double interception reward weekend coming up - so hopefully we all get some new attacker equipment to upgrade and overload!

I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. I follow this guide, I yeet all the circles but I can only get to Nihil with 30 sec remaining or so, and I'm 10k power higher. That extra ammo on the scarlet chest must help a lot. /grumble

can it be done if i change Guilty with admi? I have her 3 stars +1 and she gives crit and reload for scarelt.... i always reach about stage 2 and have no tiem at all and she has like 40HP bars left. i really dont know what ido wrong. my team is the same and i use admi like i said. i always destroy the legs but still i really dont get it why this is happening. i have 132.800 power and i am 213 lvl. i want to pass her so i work on inderseption and i am so angry i am stuck at her for 1 week now. i do the same i dont know what burst 2 i can use insteed of admi and i think it will be weak cause admi is 3 stars +1. please tell me ur thoughs.
If you have Scarlet and want to use Admi, adding Privaty is a must. With high enough skill level, Admi's burst skill + Privaty's skill one + reload cube will offer 100% reload speed reduction - maximizing Scarlet's dps

i got to 20-31 a day ago but i can't beat it yet due to not having a strong enough power - sitting at 113k with rupee, modernia, scarlet, liter, and helm, hoping i can bag a good amount of core dust here soon

@@SquishyRollingPanda I do have those two. My current team is liter, centi, modernia, helm, and drake. I'm finding I have to switch between the two teams with bunny girls and my regular team to clear different people out. While I'm at sync 213 right now and my two teams have full tier 9 but only a tiny portion of any part in the specialized. So no pilgrim attacker armor just yet. I think I'm just running into the problem of not enough dps output before the timer goes. I get her down to like 4-10 bars before time runs out depending on if I get hit with the flames. I gotcha though maybe I go for rabbit people run

Noise can work as a healer, but the risk is that she ends up taunting all of Nihilister's attacks and dies. You might need to manually control her at certain times to avoid taunting at the wrong time.
Also recommend Rupee > Guilty if you have her

Liter-less, Rupee-less, Guilty-less (she still on jail since i first went with Quency at the time), Novel-less, Viper-less (this is what i gather among the comments that can replace on some units, sadly don't have them)..... though im trying with Pepper, Centi, Modernia, Scarlet, Drake/Privaty/Helm, still no good there is like 50-50 going and not going to 2nd phase, or just plain "out-ot-time", like 55 seconds left.... looks like it might take months or a year until i get Liter, level 204 still nothing came out for her nor Rupee... or just crossing my fingers, that if chapter 21 came out, hope they nerf Nihilster... or worst, Nihilster liberation training might take to next year sadly for this....
and still no OL gears, it will be a long journey because of the boxes they added, not to mention its RNG, but if i every got one for Pilgrims, i don't know if its for Modernia or Scarlet lols....
The silver lining is that there is no further campaign content after Nihilister right now,so you aren't missing out on much.
And for Liberation, you cannot make progress on the original 3 characters and Nihilister concurrently. We have to choose one or the other - I would personally choose Guilty over Nihilister

If you're able to survive the full 3 minutes, then it sounds like a DPS issue. Closing the combat power gap only helps so much - but have that extra damage from higher levelled gear + special attributes can help even more
@SquishyRollingPanda yes, I fail because of time out I've reached phase 2 but with only 30 seconds or less left. And I just don't have enough time to kill it. I barely just got a overload gear( thanks to the package of 1/2 anniversary) Since I can barely reach 7 tier of dmg on interception S. I take the problem is prob cube related because I'm not in a strong union ( we place like rank 2k each time) and skill level related because I'm a very small dolphin when it comes to spending ( basically only the season passes for the costumes and tickets, And I've had brutal RNG since I'm past the 160 cap currently lv 219) so no buying of those skill lv up mats just day by day simulation 5-C clears and event giveaways.
As far as my team, I've been using liter, modernia , viper , scarlet, privaty. Is the team I've reached the furthest in.

I know right, this is always the case with UA-camrs who always give guides like why cant they just use without any pilgrim cause not everyone has scarlet or modernia. There's no guide that tells us the optimal thing that they need for CP that has no scarlet or modernia and does it requires OL gears as well? Like there's so much info we need and yet only just the optimal "meta" are being shown. Again not everyone has scarlet or modernia
