Thanks I am always grateful for buyers guides from actual owners. Coolant should be coolant and not dirty water, and I’d never buy a car that has any obvious history of overheating to letting the car idle after warming up for at least 10 mins with air con and lights on as this adds load to the engine. If that temp goes above middle then I won’t buy, also listen for the electric fan kicking in and turning off. Oil in coolant is more likely than coolant in oil, both indicate bad car. Knocking down 100 or even 500 for a bad gearbox ? Not me, I’d walk away unless it was advertised honestly. Check engine light can be lots of things, some serious so if check engine light is on the it needs investigation before buying. I’m looking for honesty from the seller, and I’m looking for evidence of proper maintenance. Hacked wiring or rounded nuts are a no-no, check brand of tyres, if they are the cheapest brand then you know the owner is cheap. Love the vids man keep it up I do car edits myself but do you think a 7th gen is a good first car for a young enthusiast?
Absolutely! Affordable! Easy to mod! Definitely gets lots of attention when done up! Thank you the Comment my friend!
Thanks would u think it could be good in the snow since It’ll be the daily ?
@@formula.street just sayin that you better be ready to lay down good money for a clean and low mile celica because I would NOT recommend a clapped out high mileage celica, especially if it’s gt-s model,
So, I found a ‘01 celica in mint looking condition and I’m thinking of buying it. While browsing celica videos I came across your video, I’ve listened to all the things you said, but there’s one think I want to know, how can I tell if the car had a terrible accident in the past? I mean like it might have got involved in an accident and got its chasis bent or its top crushed, it might even have its chasis rewelded. How can I tell if it’s safe?
Look at the doors if the doors are not aligned perfectly for example if a door is too close to the door frame the car might of had a terrible accident
I want it. How to bring it to Cambodia ?
Just sold it my friend!
The front angle gave me c5 vibes cause of the headlights
I 💓 my Celica VVTi 2002 😎
Im 22 and I am about to buy one (there is only 1 in my area and it needs a bit of work)
Did everything work out?
@@Edv74390 Kinda, I bought one and the engine got a rattle noise after 1000miles of driving. Bought some new Big Brakes and a new exhaust.
and i cannot really drive it long distances
but i still have mine and i would never sell it
@@DragonslayerDarkfireNr1 Alr, thanks!
My Toyota Celica GTS made me real happy until it got taken out by a tornado LOL may she forever rest in pieces and 😂😢😢😢😢
How do I tell if I have a tsunami edition Toyota Celica
Do they sell these in automatic transmission as well as heated seats?
Yes and yes
As a first car do you think this would be good ?
I like the color bro, nice car.
Were can you get parts for a Toyota Celica
What wheels size is best. I have a 03 celica being used as a daily driver. Looking for wheels that have good performance and look good as well. Plus I also live in buffalo so lots of snow in the winter
Ah, that damn Cadillac converter. Lmao
My 2000 gt is a gem🥰 but needs an engine swap...anyone have any luck with that? 🤞🏽
what year is that toyota?
2004 my friend
@@MitchDore Thank you bro
I just bought a gts I love it
I like to go hit redline just for the knock
Where did u get the side skirts? Is that a default kit with the tsunami?
I'm getting a 2005 today :)
where would you go to even start looking for this car?
Facebook market
Blew up my 02 gt. Loved the 7th gen soo much that I upgraded to the gts... gotta make a video on it
May I ask, How did you blow up your GT? What happened? That 1zz engine is usually bulletproof.
what’s a good gas mileages range to look at if you’re looking for have it for a while
Where can you buy the 7th gen automatic Toyota celica
What bumper and side skirts are those?
found a 2000 celica gt s with 150k miles för 4k, thats a fair price right?
I've owned my 2002 gts manual for 18 years now with 394k+ miles and counting. I wouldn't sell my car even if I had a $10k offer.😁
@@abuelb I fully agree with u bro.I got a t-sport 6years ago and I love this car.I have good upgrades to my gts and is better car from my ex Lexus is200.The only I miss from Lexus is the rwd.7gen celica gts Ιt's a clever(to fuel economy)and fast car(192hp) with very good handling if you put good suspension on it.I have 190.000klm now and vvtl-I sounds and kicks amazing! My car don't burn oil at all.The only problem I have with my celica is the a/c.I"ll fix it soon.
I own both a a gt and gts 7th gen, have had my gt for two years and need to replace the transmission, so alas it's a different build route with my gts that I got for 350
Do you really need premium gas for the gts ? I might be purchasing a 2004 Toyota Celtics gts
@@youngbloods8935 truly if you want it to run right yes
Very informative 👍
Beautiful Ride!!!!
What’s the name of the wing on the back?
Tsunami Edition Celica Spoiler. OEM
@@MitchDore Thanks! Hopefully I can get one for mine, I think that’s the best looking wing you can put on a Celica.
I'll be shopping these thanks to your video 🤩 #Spaceship #CleanLines #VTech
Nah man it was insanely easy to replace back hatch struts and they were 30$
Dude the only celicas I can find are ones that don’t even run or ones that just barely run, the only one I found close to me is one that’s stuck in third gear....
I have a 2001 gts 6 speed manual that I am looking to sell. 110k, silver minor chips. Interior great minus driver seat worn out.
Name side kits and back ??
Is that Camp Smith HI
When he opened the hood and sprayed straight into engine 😬
Is it worth taking the rear seats out if I don't need them? Or does it feel nippy enough as the gts edition
no not really, they dont weigh much at all and unless you have something to cover it the bare floor pan is pretty ugly
Just found an 03 gt with 25k km for 3500 CAD. Good buy?
Does the stereo have bluetooth or a cord socket for personal music?
just get an aftermarket headunit
Thank you for the video, but please try to cut your words a bit later after you say them... Not before
Thank you for the feedback, I will work on this!
Invaluable video.
😘😘😘
Why does the video cut out
Do you have a 1zz or a 2zz? My 1zz Burns motor oil and I'm told that's normal, but your input would be so appreciated
They’re notorious for piston ring wear.. yes they’ll burn a helluva lot of oil and it only gets worse.. mines been like that for more than 10 years but I love it, keep up on the oil, keep some in the trunk and check it every time you put gas you’ll thank yourself when your shit last forever like mine does..
The early 1ZZ oil rings lose their integrity after 40k miles/65k km. The ring design was reputedly rectified from the '04 model year. I was constantly topping up my early '04 model until eventually it failed its emissions test at about 165k miles/265 km. Car was scrapped because the ring upgrade is obviously quite a costly job.
Pressure washing your engine bay can be dangerous kids. Do your research, I’m sure this guy knows what’s up though
I found a 2004 Toyota celica GT with 75,000 miles, they’re asking for 7k is that over priced? (The interior is very dirty)
I think it's a good price but I would recommend GT-S
for that price you should get a gts
I got my 04 gt automatic for 3.7k. I'd say thats overpriced with the interior being not taken cared of.
Looking at a 2000 celica GT
160k miles
Driver side fender looks like someone kicked it lol
Needs to be repainted
Asking $6,500
What’s a realistic price in your opinion
I’m thinking I can at least knock it down a couple thousand
I have an 01 gts 6 speed in good condition I'd sell for that price. 110k miles
How much did you get yours for
