Just picked up shaheen and he is so fun to me. Love his unique play style and moves. And his combos are super rewarding cause they are harder than most
2,3,snkc ws4 is his standard frame trap on ws4 hit +9 (has very short deceptive stun animation) so possible follow up is f4 which gives free b4 on knockdown. If your fast with your snk cancel it can only be jabbed out (mishima style 1,1,2 beware) but it is all high so it is duckable. Ws1 can be mixed in with it for a CH mid into df4,3 or db2,1 or skip the whole thing and go low with a slide buffered in there. ws3 snk can be looped and is hit confirmable into ws3,3. f2,3 tip range is crazy and the hit hurt box extends past his foot quite a way. This is also the case with d3. SS2 leaves you both crouching and creates a PRS scenario, with slide, low parry, stand block, ss, ws1, charge d/u2, fc df2 or fc df4,1. On CH it is super plus and if they press you get a launcher. Db3,4 on CH is natural combo and does a lot of damage but spends your bound in combo also causes high splat near wall but doesnt spend your resplat so you can get some big big damage. Its good against people that like to whiff strings at like range 4. f2,4,4 second hit and fc df4,1 pick up back and backroll. Slide mixup, whiff punishing and CH are still his gameplan. He has a sudo vortex on Oki and its great, uf2 d to closing the gap after a knockdown is great.
Love the video, wish you were showing inputs on the left though, primarily for the DP timing (I’ve gotten it at 45 frames held but yours seems faster) and the at the wall low combo follow up
Right is the most effective. If you see his snake step after a string, 10 frame punish it into sidestep if the player is button mashy. Snk is not safe and Shaheen can not block from it with out canceling. His actual worst enemy is ducking his highs on string pressure. So sidestep block and sidestep duck are pretty good options to throw in to defense. His mix up for this is usually cancels into hop kick or ws2. Blocking and punishing Shaheens slides consistently are a sure fire way to condition him into slowing down on crouch dash pressure. This will make him usually try more pokes like d4, d3, df4,1 ss2(on block -1 so dick jab will float a slide attempt but he is also in a crouching state), and d2 all of which are side steppable to the right. His only safe reliable tracking move is df3 it is 0 on block and is best used on a forward dash cancel mixed in with dash blocks.
I can't even do a proper 'Electric' without dropping the combo when playing as Kazuya 🙃 Reina's movesets are confusing af Jin is probably the only Mishima that is somewhat "Easy" to use 😅
