20 year? so you played in 2004? How old are you? I was born in 1992 and one of my first console games was tekken on the ps1, the one that came with ridge racer. Cause I always get confused when like mainmanswe says "I've been playing tekken for 30 years" when he's only 31 years old or 32. haha.

i love how you're showing folks how to use training mode more effectively! it was fun to hear Masayoshi popping off whenever you showed off something he hadn't tried before, or explained a part of the interface that wasn't clear!
now that i think about it, the idea of "recording actions" for the opposing character in a practice setting, and "playing them back" at the player's demand, isn't really possible in many other genres of games. (maybe racing games?) clear demonstrations of how that works, and how powerful these recordings can be for training, would be very helpful for players who are new to fighting games.

Very fun to watch you pick up on a flaw and workshop it with a less experienced (but talented) player. The lightbulb moment when you explained the guaranteed damage from the red -13 move was also really cool.
Also very good to know the general knowledge of lows being unsafe (as always with a few exceptions), that gives me a clear goal for the next few days, punish the lows instead of just blocking them.
Props to OfflineTv for stepping outside of their normal games and really embracing the Tekken 8 stuff.

This was my 1st Tekken i ever played consistently and competively online and I was really starting to struggle a bit in Destroyer and this video gave me so much info that I think I needed. My main problem was my defense and punishing (especially with characters like Lee, Hwoarang, Lili, etc) and the segment with the practice settings exposed so much information I never knew. CNS (central nervous system) strain on leverless is very low, especially when compared to pad or even lever. Have tried all of them and leverless absolutely is the best by far as long as you dont play Mishimas. Now, for Mishimas this would not be as straight forward as you loose some control if you want to be fast, but that might be probably doable once gotten used to.

you can while standing after most low blocks in this game, I think. Even if you get blown up for doing it you now know "ok that does not work against that move" haha.
Edit: nvm Phi said this in the video at 22:15... Yeah see I knew I wasn't THAT bad at Tekken. 😂 I got my ass beat alot but I got to purple my kryptonite is grabs, I'm literally too OLD for grabs speed, they need to slow them down for boomers >:(

@@PhiDX got any idea where I can find a pcb with the switches that is good quality because I've been screwed by the 2 major website before..really could use some help on this and as a dad I would do anything for my kid, he's had a hard enough life..I spent 260$ on it and don't have another 300$ for the quabi..I do have enough to replace the switches and since idk how to solder I will need the pcb with them already on it, I can aford that. But like I said idk where to turn to buy one of good quality. Plz help if you can.
