She was true to herself no matter what the outside world wanted or expected from her. She metaphorically stood up for her grandmother against her grandfather. I don’t know if that was a Scorpio move but as a Scorpio it’s definitely something I would’ve done if anyone (don’t care who you are) tried to make me do something I didn’t want to do. She was smart enough to know that it was her hair that people were wanting so she took it from them. And being that wise at 9? Powerful!
I love the way that Willow loves her father. I always wanted a father. Didn't get that, but I understand the love she has in her heart. Every little girl wants a dad that she can look up to.

Come On Now 🙌👏!! This is it!! I have had to fight and get past People and their perception of me and what I should do my entire life. Has been a fight and struggle, Yes?! If I would have caved into People and their feelings, I would be gone from here. It can stress you out, cause you to go to a dark place in life. You can come out of it and say that- " I am living my life for the way that God has planned for it to be and not in the shadow of others opinions of me. " It's easy to say that you need to push on past people's opinions of you, but when it has been a struggle all of your life- not so!! This is why we need more REALNESS, Inspiration and Motivation like this in the world to come forth.
Sitting down hearing those words come out of Will's mouth and seeing his children response, you can see how much his children love him, respect him and how they want the best for their dad. They are such a beautiful family!
Have so much respect for Will,Jada,& Will’s first wife on how they’ve been able to co parent together & just make the best of the situation for themselves & the kids. Shows that w respect, anything is possible.
I still look up to this family. I love the freedom and honesty they have. Genuine love, it’s not controlling or manipulative, but respectful of each person as their own separate being.
As I sit here crying, not knowing if you will ever see this, I have to say Thank you. You are speaking to my heart. You are helping me see spaces in my heart that need healing. Thank you for sharing your journey, your family, your heart. Willow is right, "you are a good person" Thank you.
This whole documentary has made so appreciative of vulnerability and made me realise that my healing journey is gonna bear great fruits. I send healing and love to you Will❤️
This is so liberating. We do such a good job "faking it", trying to look like the picture perfect family. No family is perfect, every family goes through tough times. To see a celebrity family come together and talk through tough issues has been very inspirational. This also shed light on the importance of breaking generational curses so that they do not spill over into the next generation; freedom can be found....through love.
It reminds me of my child dropping gems on me and my wife, when he was young, through innocent comments. I swear sometimes, world problems that we cant find solutions for should be discussed with children under the age of 7, to see what they come up with.
I love how genuine he is, shows us that being vulnerable and transparent with your family is more important than masculinity while also admitting his faults and calling out his own hypocrisy. Super grown up to do.
I love seeing Will get all emotional with red eyes. It seems like he gets emotional a lot. I just finished his movie "Collateral Beauty" where at the end he got very emotional & cried over his daughter's death. I liked the movie. Will is emotional in a lot of his movies & in real life. It was so sweet that Willow told him, "You're a beautiful person."
I just want to scream it from the mountains that Will Smith is truly one of the greatest motivators!! It doesn't matter what kind of day I am having, if I am down or stressed, I watch one of his videos and instantly feel better. I was homeless, and his family motivated me to knowing that it has to get better and it starts with me. Thank you Will Smith and family for giving hope and motivation to the people. I saved for 2 months to be able to afford your book. Your transparency and openness are refreshing. Much love.
Thank you for the healing experience of your life Will. Like damn... I teared up, laughed, cried, got inspired... moved through so much. You're an inspiration man. That part with your father really touched a depth of my soul, as it hits very close to home for me as well. And I love what your psychologist shared about taking the parts of your father that are useful, without needing to be your father. To see you share those moments with your kids, inspired and ignited my own dreams of fatherhood. I truly felt every word. And so this message is just to say thank you man, thank you. Thank you for living your life in such a revealing way, and for leading by example. Also, THANK YOU for quitting the Best Shape of My Life! That part was so powerful for people to see. It truly conveyed the message of the importance of choosing yourself, and prioritizing your deeper truth and well-being OVER the goal of how you originally believed you wanted to do things. I feel like that part was so powerful for people to receive, ESPECIALLY from a high-performer and high-achiever like yourself. Too many people bring themselves into misery because of their goals, but instead you used it as your springboard into greater, and recognized that the true goal was to be true to yourself. Unbelievably amazing man. I think I speak for everybody watching when I say, thank you for creating this and for being brave enough to share your life in this way. You truly are a legend. Not just because of your accomplishments, but because of your soul. If there's any way that I can interview you about The Best Shape Of My Life and beyond, I would love to provide that service to the public and call forth more of your gems of wisdom and mastery. You are The GOAT! One love, 🦁 🙏🏾
Let me just first say that Will Smith is such a wise, gental hearted man and deserves to contiously be seen in a positive light, Watching this has definantly opened my eyes to the healing that he needed for himself. You can see that he is wearing his heart on his sleeve, and that he is hurting from the decisions he made through out his childrens lives. He is such an awesome guy, he is so genuine and very level headed. Great job Will! you deserve everything that God has for you and the legacy you leve behind.
We all move in and out of being loving and being unloving… Being wise and being foolish. Thank you for reminding me I’m not the only one. This documentary couldn’t have come at a better time in my life… Thank you Will❤️

The weight doesn't matter, the lifestyle does. Refreshing to see the human side of these people we put on pedestals. I am glad he is on the path to finding balance.
I f*cking love that they didn't show his weight at the end. Simple but powerful. Like this whole series. Really empowering. Thanks to everyone involved!
I usually have a strong aversion to looking into other people's personals, but somehow this was extremely cathartic for me. I can very much relate to being raised by a war vet. That no nonsense persona taught me how to grind, but it has taken a lifetime to learn how to be as kind to myself as I am to other people. I get it now, and love to share that message with anyone I can. Good job Will!
It’s important to remember no one knows what they will do until you are in a situation. We all like to think we would make the right decision. Still a Will fan. This one incident does not make him a bad person. God forgives so can we.
yeah one incident doesnt make you a bad person.. but many incidents do.. and after paul came out with his story about will smith, i cam guarantee there are tens if not hundreds more.. fck will smith hes a horrible human being
If I could ever shake Will's hand it wouldn't be for his movies or fresh prince (though I was basically raised on those). I would shake his hand for sharing this inspiring experiencewith the world. A glimpse at his own perfectionism, self criticism, insecurities and facades gives others permission to be broken too as long as we keep progressing at whatever pace. Never been more inspired by one of Will's projects. Good luck to you sir!
I absolutely believe Will is at the best place of his life: humility. Which allows him to see things from a perspective that prideful people or those with ego can not. He's able and open to see how his actions and attitude have affected his world (those closest to him) and sharing moments like this allows him to affect our world which indefinitely effects the world in such a great way. Thank You Will for your transparency. We should all be humble so that we can see how we effect our personal worlds.
This was emotional even to watch... Jaden taking a lot of blame for failure of After Earth, Willow having to ask her dad if she is important, Will's dad with his final words.
I've cried so much. I wish all the parents could be that brave, selfless and loving❤️You're doing a good job Will. You're a good example. I hope you shake people's conscience 🙏

What a journey. Will's greatest messages are interwoven through a maze of self-loathing and eventual self-acceptance. He was so hard on himself in this documentary! I kept flashing on the little boy, the darling little boy who carried the sins of the father. So brilliant because it's our journey also. All great works enrich and embraces the reader/observer right along with the author by the unseen forces of existence and what it means to be human. Humanity, Imperfection. Exquisite love expressed in heartachingly scenarios. I will watch again.
I really like Will's children. You can see the love they have for their Dad. I like how Sheree is apart of the Smith family. Bless this family God.

So good. Im writing that down somewhere so I can see it all the time. So profound. 💕
Will Smith is such a beautiful person guys. Someone who acknowledges his mistakes

Its the love in her eyes when she looks at her dad.... what more can you accomplish? Precious! Well done WILL.
Yes, this is something that I notice. That girl loves her dad so much.
I don’t think he will ever know how much this touched so many’s hearts and how relatable this is to so many of us. ❤️
Sitting down hearing those words come out of Will's mouth and seeing his children response, you can see how much his children love him, respect him and how they want the best for their dad. They are such a beautiful family!
I love how Will loves his children. 🥺
Have so much respect for Will,Jada,& Will’s first wife on how they’ve been able to co parent together & just make the best of the situation for themselves & the kids. Shows that w respect, anything is possible.
🤦♂️ well I lost all respect for jada after how she continues to make will Smith look like a fool
This was Deep. Breaking generational trauma. What a family. Love them all.
Exactly! Powerful!
Yes, that's the expression I was looking for.
@Sincerely Respectfully No, he is a man who is sticking by his wife because he made that vow.
Will doesn't need to wonder anymore if he's been a good father or not. Will, you've given your children opportunities most of us only dream about. ✌🏼
@Thee Kamilla Love Well put.
That’s not what’s it’s about. But true.
Indeed
I still look up to this family. I love the freedom and honesty they have. Genuine love, it’s not controlling or manipulative, but respectful of each person as their own separate being.

There’s definitely something really off.
Still think that?
“At this stage in my life, authenticity is much more powerful than mystery”!!!!! That part Will! 🔥
As I sit here crying, not knowing if you will ever see this, I have to say Thank you. You are speaking to my heart. You are helping me see spaces in my heart that need healing. Thank you for sharing your journey, your family, your heart. Willow is right, "you are a good person"
Thank you.
It's amazing how Willow, without even knowing, gave Will an extraordinary life lesson.
It reminds me of my child dropping gems on me and my wife, when he was young, through innocent comments. I swear sometimes, world problems that we cant find solutions for should be discussed with children under the age of 7, to see what they come up with.
This meant a lot to me. I never cry, but couldn’t stop myself with this series. Thank you for sharing.
Strong men can express their feelings.
I also see Trey & Sheree crying.
One love,
🦁

I would love if Will read your comment/message

Honestly, its just so refreshing to see a man speak his truth and be vulnerable
Let me just first say that Will Smith is such a wise, gental hearted man and deserves to contiously be seen in a positive light, Watching this has definantly opened my eyes to the healing that he needed for himself. You can see that he is wearing his heart on his sleeve, and that he is hurting from the decisions he made through out his childrens lives. He is such an awesome guy, he is so genuine and very level headed. Great job Will! you deserve everything that God has for you and the legacy you leve behind.
I'm crying, I gain composure for 5 seconds and then I'm crying again. man this video is just heavy
I know right ... same
Fax! I mean like a child.
It really is!
Oh please lol
Exactly - I cried like I knew them. LOL! It was just so honest - beautifully presented.
These kids are so lucky to have this man as there father the love that he has for his children is first and foremost. What a beautiful family
We all move in and out of being loving and being unloving… Being wise and being foolish. Thank you for reminding me I’m not the only one. This documentary couldn’t have come at a better time in my life… Thank you Will❤️

Very well put.
This show had a lot of powerful und great moments. Thanks for this.
This went about like I expected. Some excessively rich prima donna, using his extensive wealth to hire a team of individuals, to lose weight in a over-produced puff piece.
What if those powerful and great moments were fake ? Like in acting. Would you still thank him for it?
@@cathychan2814 I think so too now… after his oscar breakdown. It was really strange, I think he is not well…
@@DavisSchulz yup...how do you go from smacking an adult in front of the whole world to doing a fake crying speech justifying your slapping and playing a victim role seeking sympathy and undetstanding then becoming a party animal after that. Everything about this man is fake.

I LOVE How vulnerable Will and Jada are about their struggles with life I believe true humanity is simply being able to be vulnerable completely ❤
This episode had me in tears. Thank you so much for sharing! Much love and respect to you and your family Will! 🥲🙏🏾♥️
Why are you in tears? This makes zero sense.
I listened to the audiobook and I loved it. It's the kind of audiobook I will listen to over and over again. Will has an amazing sense of storytelling. Watching this show gives an even better understanding of the contradictions in Will's personality. Loved every minute of it. And it was so cool to see some of the people he talks about in the book!
Where can I get the audiobook?
8:23 "It's 3AM, I'm on my knees, I'm just a little boy." Man, that hit the crevices of my soul. I completely understand what he means.

Willow's "You're a beautiful person" was classic.
What a deep series. He really speaks from his heart. The human condition is so complex.

I would like to be the best dad to my 3 kids too.
Thank you will for sharing your moments with us.

The weight doesn't matter, the lifestyle does. Refreshing to see the human side of these people we put on pedestals. I am glad he is on the path to finding balance.
Wow well said friend
God forgives so can we.
yeah one incident doesnt make you a bad person.. but many incidents do.. and after paul came out with his story about will smith, i cam guarantee there are tens if not hundreds more.. fck will smith hes a horrible human being
🙏
I agree no one is perfect human make mistakes i love that we are unperfect we are just human
Will is a good father who loves his family so no one should Stress himself out
If I could ever shake Will's hand it wouldn't be for his movies or fresh prince (though I was basically raised on those).
He truly is a beautiful person inside and out. Hes done a great job with his children. I cried during this documentary
I think a few of people did...
🙏
💯💯💯
Agreed!!!
It will be fine Will! You’re a Great human being and we believe in you!!!!❤️

“Being authentic is better than mystery.”
- Will Smith
What if I’m an authentic mystery revelrying in anonymity?
When Will started talking about trey and all of them reached to hold his hand just warmed my heart 🥺🤍
This Series helps me through my Depression. Im in my deepest and lowest time in my Life. Almost having no will to leave anymore, after loosing everything through out the last year. This Series has been my Highlight of my day. Watching the Star and Idol Will Smith be so open and vulnerable opens my eyes. Seeing him reach is Goals without the Hollywood Perfection and with such transpericy that allows to see his battle, lets me feel like "hey those big Stars are just humans too". Everybody got a Story to tell, and im going to most definitly read his book. But thank you will for this. Really. Thank you.
Shout out for Will for showing his true feelings and struggles to everyone out there. Massive respect! A true Legend! His life is such a journey. Send love
Stay Strong Will. You are an Awesome Father and Husband and Man, no doubt about it! Be the Phoenix, rise from the ashes! 😊😊😊
That is beautiful
Just loved the raw honesty and transparency. Everyone is going through or coming out of something if we all allowed each other room to be vulnerable and human, we would all be better and the world would be better for it. Thanks Will and your team. X
“Authenticity is much more powerful than mystery.” That’s the one!
This!!!!! Who here wishes that this episode could have kept going for another hour?!! This was so powerful! It touched deep cords in my own life, parenting and childhood experiences! Thank you Will for your authenticity! You are an amazing and incredible human being! Lots of introspection for us all❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
What a journey.
I meant to watch a celebrity getting in shape, why am I crying and vowing to live my life better? Incredible. Thank you.
