Really shocked to read Colin has passed away, such sad news.
The only DJ i've ever listed to who played what i call REAL TECHNO MUSIC!
Thanks for the shows which will play forever on youtube, we will make sure of that.
    RIP Mate.

oh sorry ive just found out youve gone next door to play now.Il always remember going back to yours with a few other lovely people after you played at turnmills. It was your birthday and you had never met me before then and yet you welcomed me into your home. You and your friends were picking out some of your favorite tunes(none of which ild ever herd of before) which Totaly blew me away.Every tune blew my mind.I still remember it like it was yesterday.May have been 20 years ago but its up there with my best moments of my past raving times.RIP colin

I knew Colin from the Small Wonder shop days. In 1979 I would often go round his house and he'd always let me in for a chat about what was happening in the punk rock world and a cup of tea. When we came down from up North he'd put me and my brother and a few mates up for a couple of nights. He was VERY knowledgeable about all sorts of music (including early 70s rock bands) he had a huge record collection. It's weird cause among the punk stuff he played he would always throw weird stuff in. He loved the Flying Lizards version of Summertime Blues which I thought was quite annoying - and he loved the 12" Heart of glass by Blondie - we would think 'why's he buying this disco stuff?' but he went on to be a bloody DJ! R.I.P. Colin (just found out you died today and I'm gutted, ,mate)

A true pioneer and one of the good guys. I loved the abstract dance show. I love to find the mix by the Japanese DJ kudo he played, it gave me my love of minimal techno. I wore the tape out in the end. I always liked the fact his show was no pretence and just about music

For me he was the greatest vinyl mixer of all time. He could mix tunes so seamlessly i remember standing watching him at Knowledge and you could feel the pressure in the PA increase as the fader came over and the new kick started to gain. We miss you Col, a true legend of the scene.

I couldn't believe Radio 1 didn't take Colin on when he lost his job on Kiss,Colins stuff reached out to a deeper croud,I wonder what Colin thought of the Psycadelic dance labels that started coming through in his later years on Kiss,I like to think he'd of appreciated that stuff,Back in the days, ealking my fog,Jacob, I'd have this fantasy for Colin Faver in his out of work days to cheer him up abit, I'd hijack Jo Whileys show on Radio 1 & demand cool underground dance for a couple of hours,It used to give Colin a smileRIP Colin, your voice had the same mood as your music didn't it..neuphaze

Taking people's records away is a proper low blow.
