we don't know the exact time of the story so it could just be Raum. Raum sent out Ravens for secrets hunting before Swain interfered.

This was the most heart warming experience I had in league. Knowing Ornn, the guy who always is alone, finally found a friend. kinda melts your hearth, heh.

This mini game was actually super great. This did such an amazing job at portraying ornn and auroras personality. I learned more about ornn in 30 minutes than any lore book couldve taught me.
What mini game? I've only seen this comic, but didn't know there was a mini game since I deleted league a few months ago.
@@JumalaPlays Between the starting comic and the ending one you, playing as Aurora, have to clean up the Forge and sort a bunch of artifacts and books that are thrown around and later you end up in the library finding out the creature's name. There is also a musical part where you play the theme´s of various characters after finding the notes in the books.
Haestryr's icon is called "Hestrelk", and apparantly "Hestr" is just horse in icelandic. Horselk.
The "Elk of bones" is mentioned in exactly one runeterra card, where it mentions it's follower scrying into the future.
Also Ornn has crafted a dagger for the Buhru? I assume the major spirits just kinda know eachother but that's very odd for Ornn.

And Oorn has metal from across runeterra, who is to say he doesn't have other made works as well. A master craftsman doesn't stop learning just because they are the best...
Hest is also horse in norwegian and danish and häst in swedish
Ornn also has a Demacian hammer, it doesn't mean he crafted it and it's more likely a gift.
The event is so good and comfy, we get to see a side of Ornn with Aurora and Friend which is just so cute

It could be that Swain has 24/7 surveillance on Ornn since .. you know ... a fork from this guy, one he didn't like btw, made a random fish king of the merforlk (Nami's tribe).
Short and sweet. This minigame was so good. I think that this has been by far the best VN-style game they've done. Solving the puzzles was fun, and the lore was great. And the music was the cherry on top; I absolutely loved the hurdy-gurdy-esque instrument. The little songs for Ornn, Volibear and Lissandra are very pretty.
minigame is lagged trash, i lost one crystal due to client lagging and now i can't finish novel (also 7-sheet melodies don't work too! i could play only lissandra's theme)
didn't have a problem, not from performance or anything. Hope whatever issue you have gets smoothed out. It's great

I believe the instrument is a nyckelharpa (or they based it on that?)! Riot mentioned it in their behind the scenes video about the howling abyss theme a few years ago :)
Playing the music for the demigods and Lissandra just makes me want an Anivia update or Seal Sister champion. Then they'll get cool Freljordian beats for us to listen to. Also I'm not sure I can imagine the Frostguard singing the Ice Witch song

I genuinely love any story related to Ornn and Hearth-Home, so I am really happy that we got that kind of introduction :D
The raven could just be there to watch hearth-home, swain would probably want to know everyone that visits Ornn and it wouldnt be surprising for a demonic raven to find hearth-home
The music themes you can play in playable part are just AWESOME, loved it!
This in client lore minigame was absolutely awesome. I love LoL's lore, and this really hit the sweet spot! Really great job by rito
Honestly loved this mini story event in the client, the lore was nice to read and was very interactive! I hope they do more in the future

I enjoyed the in game event as well. It is best experienced first hand. Also another 1 hour long lore video incoming after necrit completes the event

I'm currently playing the game and it's full of Lore! I had no idea this would go so deep!! You can explore his home, there are item descriptions!! You can play songs, mini games like book puzzles and playing music... It's very interesting!
aurora is a vibe and ornn is one of my favourite champs in the game so this was the best thing in the world, i loved this so much!

The event was very nice. I'm an Ornn Main (M21) and hearing him talk, hearing the music.. it was all a treat for sure. Playing the songs of the Volhir, the Fires Below the Mountains, and the tales of the Ice Witch, each having their own uniqueness to them. Great Event.

If i'm not mistaken, you kinda got a small spoiler. The part where she says the stag name and beyond just appears after you complete the event.
This was such a wonderful mini game, I love the atmosphere and the music and the art style, ah it was just so good! It really makes me wish the MMO can capture vibes like this around the world. It also really made me like Ornn more and I can't wait to try out Aurora when she comes out. She already wins just because of her name tbh, prettiest name in the game
I just love this type of things with new champions... make a little interactive story, make the new character interact with the existing lore, not just being his separated bubble like 99% of the champions... and seeing this champ make that, and give some development to our gumpy goat in the process is such a good thing to see... I really think this should be the absolute minimum work for a new champion
Am I wrong for thinking the way she holds the wand and activates the magic is a lot like a conductors stick?
this is the best in client event i have seen so far fun puzzle gameplay too short but ohh so good not too cryptic voice acting for the story high quality audio tbh do somthing like this for the summer events !

What if Aurora is somekind of traveler, looking for stories or information, something like this Planeswalker from MtG, Tamiyo? It would be a neat kind of character, and that could explain the targonian earrings and being followed by Noxus.

Honestly my first reaction seeing the wand was "that's a cool toothpick"
When the mmo eventually drops if there are craftable legendary items itd be cool if you had to consult ornn while crafting them or something
THe mini game keeps on bugging on me that i had to restart it since some items keeps on disappearing. if i drag it wrong it will hover over something and will be unclickable.

Swain seeing Aurora get a magic wand from Ornn:

Would be cool in the mmo, if one of the raids takes place on the bridge. Have to fight through mobs of enemies in order to reseal the watcher / repair the bridge. If you die you respawn where you normally would in aram.
Then they can use the map for a pvp mode too, basically recreating the aram game mode, without the randomness - since it's an mmo where you'll be building your character. (or maybe even with the randomness - kind of like how some mmos have a battle royal mode where you pick up weapons and gear.)

Just adding to the idea that Swain's Demon is making it possible to look everywhere and have so much control all over: the Demon is named "Raum" and translates to 'space' in german.

Small correction: Necrit's summarizing both the intro and outro to the event.
The intro is about Aurora entering the hearth home. The outro is about Aurora learning about her 'friend's name and origin before leaving Ornn, and eventually returning again to hear Ornn read about the story of their meeting.
The minigame in between focuses on Aurora cleaning up Ornn's home because it's chaotic and messy. As a reward for her cleaning the forge, Ornn gives her the wand
