Just helped my bud build in the fractal terra. Good build quality, not too difficult to work in, fit a 4070 dual easy. But doesn't have enough space for an aio or standard cooler, so thermals can be a bit of an issue if you try and do anything too heavy.
I would have 3 recommendations: 1) Nr200p(max), great for beginners, lots of space for components, amazing price 2) Fractal Terra: More restricted, and on the costlier side but great aesthetics and good for mid range components And then my favorite 3) Formd T1: Great component compatibility, great price, nice aesthetics (imo the best of the 2 above)
Some disadvantages about these are the case sucks back the hot air in and cycle the hot air. For low and mid-range, I’ll say it’s fine. High-end I suggest to dig some more cases that vent the hot air out more efficiently like meshless aio itx case for example.
As a owner of this case, npr200, its the best case in which you dont have to super cable management everything but will still have a compact case that fits in a hand luggage for travel
I did a budget build in a Jonsbo A4. Its a pretty sexy case. Inside is a 240mm Aio and a Gigabyte 5700xt. The Case is seperatet in the Middle, on one side is the Mainboard and on the other is the GPU vertically mounted. With only 15l its a bit smaller than the Nr200p.
The fratal torrent nano is the best ITX case imo. just build one and it was a blast , easy accessing and if you take your time the cable management is near perfect !
I honestly can’t recommend itx in the current market, unless you never plan to have anything bigger than a 60 or 70 series card in the future. SFF thrived during 20 series, and since power efficiency as a design philosophy has been thrown completely out the window in 30 and 40. This isn’t likely to change in coming years as we’re about to hit a wall in terms of power efficiency with transistors sizes. Likewise the proliferation of AI upscaling and availability of compute resources has caused a general give-no-fucks sloppy approach to code optimization. I would expect future cards to get a lot hotter and a lot more power hungry, and this is where itx cases will really struggle.
The Fractal Terra is my current build. It’s not a gaming build and I want to keep it cool, so I’m using an i7-13700T. Yes, it’s a T-processor rated at 35w with max turbo power of 106w.
Meshlicious bruh. I’ve done a full custom loop with 5950x & 3090/3080, and also a hackintosh. Honestly my favorite form factor and case ever though it has a few minor caveats
I figure I have another year or two left before I build a AM5 PC. I'm looking at using the Fractal Ridge since they finally have a proper PCIE 4.0 version. Plus in about 2 years Ryzen 8000 should be available for a good deal.
Best recommended combo for a itx build with a budget of $400, $500, $600, $700 and $800. This budget is for the cpu,GPU, motherboard, and psu,etc and this budget excludes ram, storage and case. Requirement: Just the best VFM
Just bought an nr200p. Unfortunately they have been discontinued though in favor of the v2. The v2 is crap though; you don’t get any support for air coolers because you can only vertically mount the gpu.
Unpopular opinion I like big cases! Easier cable management and they give you more finger room when building. Then other things like component size and cooing.
i just bought the parts for my first very budget pc and it has a intel celeron g5900 8gb ddr4 ram and 500gb storage it also has intergrated graphics what should i upgrade next
You cannnot future proof. I wish people would stop saying that. Technology is advancing so fast. The only thing you can do is hold off long enough so that when the time comes you can get rid of it, and buy newer stuff. Pretty much, buy anything that came out in the last couple years. If you just want to play games you can get away with alot of stuff. When you look at games look at their minimum specs. And look at their recommened spec . The recommened specs are the specs for it to play reasonably well at default settings, but you can tweak your gpu and cpu to perform better and allow you to change the settings of your game to higher settings and still get the same performance. Most games will say GTX 1080 in the recommened settings. So pretty much any gpu in the 3000 series rtx cards, or 6000 amd cards is more than enough for the next few years. Or if your feeling risky you can still rock a 2080ti. The only issue with those cards is they are old, so you never know what you are going to get.
Hey Zach, I have a question: is a r5 8600g good to start with for my first pc, and then in a year or two, I can look for a nice graphic card? Pls answer
If you're building yourself a custom pc and know all the parts, put them inside PC Partpicker and it will show you your estimated wattage, from there add 100-150 watts and that's your total wattage 👍 Or you can look up individually how much each part draws and calculate it yourself 🤷♂️
I need help I don’t know which motherboard to get b550 or b450. The b550 comes with WiFi installed but the b450 doesn’t. Does that mean that with the b450 I can’t connect to WiFi.
tbh nope it's meh In my mind paying 1250 bucks for 4060ti 8GB is wild AF Ngl if you dont wanna bother with building PC and you are looking for prebuilt try maybe jawa

I’ve seen someone fit a small aio in the fractal terra, not sure if it was 120mm or 240mm but it’s possible, very very hard, but possible
I would have 3 recommendations:

I built in the Nr200p max, was my second ever PC i built and waws for ITX very pleasant and it looks really clean
I really hate that they couldnt get the terra large enough to fit some cooling in considering the formd t1 could and its smol
If you can find formd t1. It's always out of stock
@@rothein436 It's on sale rn and has been for over 2 months
@@rothein436 you can get it pretty easily these days, but yes sometimes it’s out of stock

Lian Li A4-H2O is great for large GPUs and (most) CPUs
Fractal is indeed the *GOAT*
been using a fractal ridge for about 8 months now and couldn't rate it higher!! 10/10 case for itx minimalistic builds
As a owner of this case, npr200, its the best case in which you dont have to super cable management everything but will still have a compact case that fits in a hand luggage for travel
One good thing about the NR200 is that you can use some mATX boards in it as well, as long as they're up to 226mm
Really I like the NZXT H210i
Fractal ridge is 🔥 too
Yep it’s all over my screen 😅
Low profile doesn't mean itx. You could have a small case that's the same depth as normal one. Low profile means that the build is very thin
I want you to be low profile while doing the thug shake
The vertical cases look cool too, like the tower 200 from thermaltake, and the nzxt h1.
Tower 200 is too big to he sfx, anything over 20l isn‘t sfx
I love fractal design cases as i currently use the fractal pop air which is way to good for its price
Are you using air or liquid cooling ? Thanks
My favorite is the Iqunix ZX-1.
Omg the xworks x32 is perfect 👍
Formd T1 and Lian Li Dan a4 h2O are both solid.
nr200p v2 for aio and for air cooling the nr200p
The Asus AP201 is a nice clean looking case with good airflow. Would be my recommendation

It‘s too big to be sfx. Sfx is sub 20l. The Torrent nano is 35l. Just because a case needs a sfx motherboard doesn‘t mean it‘s itx.
The torrent nano is pretty cool as well
The fractal era 2 in blue got me going crazy to build a new pc
"my wife wants a build in a jade terra"
Lol literally my missus after I finally got my hands on a white Fractal North case for her

just built my wife's new PC in the fractal terra Jade case she loves it.

My pc cost less than fractal design itx case😅
I almost bought a fractal terra for my first pc, but the nzxt mini itx h1 was on sale for half the price
Can you please show how to make a good 500-600 dollar all white build that can run games like security breach?
I love how your shooting in 60 fps now!
you don't know how much money i'd spend on a pink item build from your website
You can just buy a white one with argb and make the fans pink or build one yourself it’s surprisingly easy

Fractal is the best in my opinion like they got the terra and north which is a little small but they made the north xl
Does it worth it to buy RTX 4080 Super instead of RTX 4070 Super
Nzxt h1 version 2 is a great one
the formd t1 is the premium sfx case.
Can you also do a benchmark for your wife’s computer when you’re finished building it?
I built in a meshroom s as a first time pc builder
Those are so crisp
I use the Corsair 2000D case plenty of space for a 360mm aio my cpu is a ryzen 9 3950x and 64gb of 3200 mhz ram and for the gpu 4090

In my opininion the minineo s300 is also a good Choice for 90bucks
The white NR200P with the side vents looks like an Xbox 360 if it are one too many cookies

Silverstone RVZ02 is what I got. Though, you'll have to buy a PCI 4.0 riser replacement.
theres also the new corsair 2500 series
