I flew economy round trip from LAX to Narita and back. I’m 6’1”, 195 pounds with an athletic frame. The seat was comfortable and leg room was very adequate for me. The food was very good, but not fantastic. However, the food was NOT mediocre. The ice cream was great. I was able to have a couple of beers, too! The snacks and beverages were very good as well. Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10.
@ I flew on the 787. Very comfortable jet and JAL’s food/service was great! A flight attendant asked me if I wanted beer and I asked her for a recommendation. I forgot which beer it was, but it was cold, smooth and delicious! It was not Kirin or Sapporo, but it was good!
@@davidebert8034 amazing, I'm taking that baby on February, sadly the comeback plane is the 777, but I hope it's comfortable as well, I'm not tall as you but still pretty big, I have big expectations for JAL service
The entire video is actually pointing out that all these stuff which were normal in flights during the 90's, only japanese airline still have them. Metal cutlery, wider seats, towel before meal.
Our flight from Sapporo to Toyko on Dec 31, 2024 was cancelled by JAL. Although there were many, many other JAL flights still operating on that route that day, for some reason ours was the only one cancelled and with no explanation. We asked customer service to help us because we had a connecting flight to catch. We were told to wait in line. After a ridiculous 2.5 hours waiting in line, we were told that all JAL flights to Tokyo were full and we had to fly the next day and we had to pay for a hotel ourselves. It made me think that they wanted us to miss our flights after our repeated requests of help ignored. We ended up paying for an alternative flight to Tokyo on ANA and then rescheduling our connecting flight to the next day (at great cost) and arranging and paying ourselves for a hotel. In addition, getting a refund for the cancelled JAL flight has been a big hassle too. I tried to call, but was put on hold.
With all that Japan Airlines offers as an economy flight I could do without the in flight entertainment. Just pay the Wi-Fi fee and watch your own movies that you downloaded at home or read a book or listen to audio ebook. I think all airlines should aspire to be like the Japanese airlines.
B 787 economy seat was awesome BKK-HND food was decent but not "outstanding" or anything (food on JFK HND was not great IMO, A350) 787 seat was most comfortable I ever sat in econ. A350 seat was less width and not as cushion. Both the minced beef dish and the chicken pasta were atrocious. The toasted swiss ham sammy was awesome though on the last meal before landing JFK to Haneda.
food...terrible and uninspired...leg space...horrible... cabin noise was also higher than normal and problematic....I preferred Cathay over JAL even... Next time i'll probably just stop being cheap and fork out extra money for at least business class.

I flew with these guys September 2024. London to Henada. Stayed in Shinjuku Tokyo. The flight service was impeccable. Going and coming home. 😊
Flown back in March of 2024, I'm 6’5 and this was the most legroom I’ve ever had on a flight
Good to know I'm 6'5 aswell

Considering they do 2-4-2 on a 787 dreamliner its worth it. You'll still get 3-3-3 on A350 and B777. Economy class gets free wifi for one hour on JAL.
excited to try it! good video keep up

Margarita ice.
Uh, the food isn't very appealing to me. But I have simple taste!😜
They have a innovative cup holder though 😅
