- We are building a house, and in this video we walk you through how the masonry team lays the stone on our front exterior wall, and share the process of selecting a faux product that closely mimics Indiana limestone as well as designing our exact stone layout pattern. For our back and side walls we chose to do stucco in a colour that compliments our stone - watch the stucco installation video here: • Building a House: Cons... .
We are continuing the on-site construction process of building our custom home and previously on our new home build we completed the excavation, pouring the concrete foundation walls & basement slab, waterproofing, back filling, framing the house, installing the roof, connecting the basement drains, installing the windows and applying stucco - make sure to catch those episodes if you want to get up to speed.

If that's not limestone. What is the product ?
What was the faux Indiana limestone product called?
Omg I’ve been researching this very idea for months....thanks
So glad you found this helpful! We love how it turned out 😊
What faux product did you use? I am dying to know
really loved this video - seeing things come to life! You're getting there!
That’s the best part - seeing the plans and designs coming to life! 🤗
You guys are awesome. We are in planning stages of our home in Langley BC and love watching your videos 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for reaching out and for your kind words! Congrats on your upcoming home build - that’s so exciting! What’s stage are you in? Best of luck!
@@WeTheWolfmans .. thanks. Planning stage - started with 5000 sq ft ending up with 6700 sq ft.. you are right so hard to keep everything in place and budget
what kind of stone do you use
Oh and by the way Cedar will look beautiful 🙂🙂
Haha thank you for the input! We’re still trying to finalize which way to go!
I love watching your videos, they are so informative. Do you happen to know if the builder used sill pan flashing for the windows? Thank you
not sure, I can look into that for you
Looks great! What is this product called? What was the cost difference between this product and polished indiana limestone? Both have very similar looks. I bet this product you're using won't get stained after a couple winters unlike natural limestone.
Thank you very much. We used a product called Arriscraft Renaissance in the nutmeg colour and we are very happy with the finished product. It is made to mimic Indiana limestone and we feel as though this is one of the few products we saw that really does a great job in mimicking real limestone.
The price for the stone itself is half of what a real limestone would be. The labour cost will be the same for either product.
@@WeTheWolfmansthank you so much for producing the exact product name and additional information. ❤
Precast stone
Did anyone figure out they this material is called?
What kind of windows?
please tell us the materials everyone is asking why are you not disclosing it.
is marble an option too for front look? does it stand to the elements?
for the front exterior of the house? or for under the canopy?
