- Welcome to our Dream Home! We are so excited to take you on a house tour of our custom built home, which we spent over two years designing and building from the ground up!
Our house tour showcases our custom all-white kitchen, glass wine cellar, elegant master bedroom, luxurious master bathroom, cute nursery room, bold powder room, and so much more! Symmetry is so important to me! Love how you incorporate it so seamlessly. modern but feels like a home is such an accomplishment. Will definitely be using this house as inspiration for my own some day! Beautiful job💖

Tifu haha that’s a great idea! Aquariums are beautiful! But we love our wine and we can’t have aquarium water with dinner every night 😂
We The Wolfmans LOL, so true, although you are guaranteed healthy plants from all the water changes you have to do with a 300 gallon tank. Free fertilizer!!!

I love your porcelain counter tops, but I was wondering if it is subscpetible to scratches? I've seen in demonstration displays in stores and they look pretty scratched up. Thanks for the information!

Hi, thank you for the info. Can you also explain about the soft costs? I understand the land development charges and permit fees differ based on the city, but what are the other items - like how much did you spend for architect until the final drawings etc.? Thanks.

Beautiful home! I’m from Montreal! We are planning to build a home but because of the covid-19 we have to wait. Can you share with us how the current situation is affecting your current construction project?
Thank you so much and congratulations on your future home build - that’s very exciting! It’s probably best to hold off on starting because you don’t want to end up with a big hole in the ground if you’re unsure whether work will be proceeding.
The situation definitely slowed things down for us and is posing some challenges but at this point we are moving forward while we can. We are starting the finishes stage and truthfully the trades want to keep working - these are usually small business owners who depend on this work for their livelihood and it is their preference to keep working if they can. We’re only allowing in one trade at a time and taking every precaution we can. The bigger challenge is getting our materials as many stores closed basically overnight so this will likely hold up some of the work ahead. Ultimately we are complying with all government regulations and will continue to adapt as needed in light of the situation. Good luck with your future build!
Congratulations on planning to build! I’m from Vancouver & we are building our dream home! We demolished & while waiting on last tree removal permit from the city Covid19 happened:/. I’m glad no hole on the ground.
We are also waiting for some financing to come in(hopefully very soon).
This situation has hit every aspect of life & hope we can start seeing life back to normal.

Khadija Zerouali congratulations on your upcoming build- very exciting! It’s good that you’re in a safe stage to pause - hopefully it will resume shortly! With our current home build project, we’ve continued to build (although at a much slower pace and of course following all the guidelines and precautionary measures). It’s definitely affected a lot of things but we’re trying to progress as best we can. Good luck with your upcoming project!

Thank you so much! We got it from a store in Toronto called Artemano. Unfortunately they closed since then but there’s a very similar store with live edge tables called Wazo Furniture.

You two are cute. Beautiful home! I think another video said the house is 3,800 square feet; does that include the garage and/or basement?
Thank you so much! 3,800 square feet does not include garage and basement. The garage is about 400 and the basement is an additional 1,700. Typically in Toronto for real estate you don’t include the square footage of the garage and basement, which is why we excluded it in our count :)
@@WeTheWolfmans Thanks! I've always thought it seems strange to include them in the cost but not in the floor area, but I know it's commonly done that way.
That’s a good point! It’s hard to exclude it from your cost because a lot of the costs are shared when you build the basement at the same time as the rest of your house (i.e. framing the whole house, or installing the HVAC system) - it’s hard to separate the cost for the basement specifically. That said in real estate square footage it’s common to exclude the basement but that’s a precise number you could take out. Maybe in the future we will refer to it as living space and include the basement in the square footage so we’re comparing apples to apples. Thanks again for the note and take care!

LED Fireplace?
No, in this home they are both gas fireplaces. In the new home we’re building one of them is electric.
