so weird.... I was literally at the grocery store an hour ago and bought apples for the first time in months-- they just looked good. Ate one in the car on the way home, then got online and randomly picked one of your videos to do and chose this one... Love a good fruit/ yoga synchronicity!

I want to share this with you… I start practicing yoga in college, in 2006 or so. And steadily through the years fell deeper in love with the practice. I was practicing here and there, when I could make it to a class or put on a DVD. After discovering your channel, I have been practicing so much more often, with so much radiance and delight entering my life!! What is most fantastic is that my practice evolved MORE in the few months of practicing with you than in the 7 preceding years. Thank you so much for spreading the love of yoga. I loved this video ten months ago as a stand-alone flow, but I enjoyed it even more having completed the previous 10 days of YF90 in order. In particular, I noticed that my back is so much stronger than before I started. My quads are also much more flexible! I really noticed these differences during Shalabhasana and Ardha Bhekasana, but also during bridge pose! Yay!

Thanks for making these videos. I am enjoying yoga more than ever and I didn't enjoy going to classes! Learning so many knew poses, but I did have trouble with mermaid, any pose that involves putting weight on the top part of my knees, I am hoping with practice they will become less sensitive because I don't have bad knee's or pain in them otherwise! xo
Thank you so much!! If you're knee feels sensitive, try putting a pillow underneath it (I'm assuming it's the back knee...if it's the front knee, it's better to take thread the needle for the hips). If the back knee is the issue, it will get better as you become more flexible because you won't be right on your knee cap. As you continue to sink your hips further forward, going deeper, the weight will be just above your knee cap. :-)
Omg this killed me lol. I stink at #backbends. In fact, my back barely has a bend so I had to go into child's pose a couple of times to relieve cramping lol but I got through it. Phew! I need an appletini Rather than an apple after that work :)

Today was a beast of a workout for me. I am still bending as far as I can feeling the stretch as you say. I see just a little more then when I started a few weeks ago. Please keep it up, it is making a huge difference to me!

Its been a week since day 10 work was hectic and I went away. I wanted to stop because i wasnt doint the days consecutively. But ai glad I just started where I left off. It was a refreshing session.

Can you tell me what other kind of exercise you do besides yoga? Do you find that you need to include other disciplines for the variety or in order to stay in good physical shape? What other things do you recommend someone do? I'm struggling b/c I've always worked out--all kinds, HIIT, running, aerobics, swimming, lifting, pilates, etc but yoga intrigues me and I'm wondering if it's enough to stay fit. If I do your classes every day--usually an average of 30 minutes, do I need to include something else? Thank you so much!!
abby kelly I mostly just practice yoga. When I stay away from sweets (which isn't right now!) I stay looking fit from yoga alone. I think that diet is really important and I know that if I eat really, really well, it shows, but I'm also not willing to give up every I love all of the time! I recently took some self defense classes at the Jiu Jitsu studio where my kids train and I felt like my legs and core were getting very strong, but the classes were cancelled, so I'm back to yoga. I do think yoga is enough to stay fit...30-90 minutes a day is usually how long I practice. xx

I remember practicing yoga with this video one year ago in Thailand when I had to get away from my unhappy life to realize what I really wanted for myself. Now I'm back, one year later, so so much happier living a completely different life in a new amazing country. I'll be back next year and I can't wait to see where I'll be then. Thank you Lesley

As I practice bellydance I would like to focus more on Abs and hips. Is there any video which exclusively focuses on this? If yes please share the link.

I love your classes so much! I am trying to help my son with some weight and metabolism issues right now. We have started to do your classes together every morning before school. It is helping him so much. Would you recommend anything to help me in this? He is only 11 and a true fighter. Thanks for touching our lives in such a positive way. Nicki
I'm so sorry to hear about you son's issues....my son is also 11 and it's such a sweet age. It's wonderful that your son's a fighter and practicing yoga in the morning before school will be a great help! I'm guessing you're probably working with a nutritionist and I'm not one, but I've found that sticking to protein, legumes and veggies is a great way to burn fat and to keep the blood sugar stable. The yoga also helps to reduce cortisol in the body which helps to reduce fat around the belly...restorative yoga classes are also great for that! Our boys are really into Jui jitsu and they go 5 times a week. It's been really helpful to keep them in good shape...maybe your son can find something that he enjoys? He could make friends there and look forward to going. Our kids didn't really like jui jitsu at first, but my husband was insistent that they continue going and now they have lots of friends there and look forward to it. If only I could get my boys to practice yoga!!!!! :-)
Thanks so much Lesley! He is already doing TaeKwando and it has helped his coordination a lot. I wanted to work on something with him because he tends to get lost in the classes. It's so interesting to see how yoga is so hard for him - even touching his toes or being straight is a challenge. I love working with him though and first thing in the morning when the birds are singing and the sun is coming up is a magical time to be with my children while they still want to hang out with me!

Always in the end of class when we lie on our backs i have pain in the lower back, but only then.

During savasana, keep your knees bent with feet on the floor or roll up a blanket or towel and put it under your knees. Leslie, can you make a quick video/other telling us the differences and your thoughts of the different yoga practices you post about: vinyasa, ashtanga, etc... I started doing yoga with the 30-day challenge and consider myself still kinda new to yoga. I have been working on the Yoga fix 90 and sometimes, some poses seem too fast and challenging for me. I wonder if I'm moving up the yoga ladder, sort of speak, correctly. Thanks!

Thanks for these classes, my life right now is very much an uphill battle but since I've been doing yoga so regularly (did beginner 30day before this) it just popped into my mind that I could do this to relax and got to say that while I still feel like crying/shouting I feel a lot better and like I'm in control of at least how I treat myself

Carrie A Groff thank you so much Carrie! In camel pose, be sure to lengthen your neck as much as possible and then you can look backwards. If it still hurts to look back, keep you head lifted to a position that doesn't cause pain. I hope that helps! xx

My right knee is hurting a bit, especially when i have to keep it straight, what should I do differently? Never had knee problems before so I must be doing something wrong... I'm really enjoying these sessions and would hate to stop now :/
For example triangle pose or warrior two when my right leg is "the back leg".
Lina Haglund I"m so sorry to hear that your knee is hurting. I think you might be hyperextending your knee. Try to bring your leg to straight (not past straight). If might feel like your knee is bent a little, but it'll look straight. Then start to bend your knee but keep your muscles engaged so the knee won't bend. thank you! Pigeon has always been my nemesis, although these days back bends of any sort are difficult. Each day I can manage to be a little deeper into each posture! Kyra Halls wonderful! I've been working on eating more mindfully...trying to chew 20+ times for each bite. It's very challenging because I always want to eat fast, but it's really helping me to stay present and I think it helps my digestion too!
