Damn, I can't even afford to look at a scope like this let alone buy one! Rob, you've got one hell of a setup and I always look forward to your videos!...........PS: I'll bet Santa brought it!!
Thank you sir. The thing had me confounded until you showed me there were three screws in the windage turret ... not two as in the elevation turret. They put one down there where you can't see it.
I had a 5-25 that was a great scope very good glass and you can get at a decent price. I only sold to fund a 7-35 atacr when I decided to switch to mil scope. The Leupold was slightly brighter in my opinion. Iv had several Leupold scopes that were excellent and I really like the locking turret.
I was a big fan of the turrets when shopping around. Also was a big fan of the simple pr2 reticle. More in dept thoughts to come as I get more acquainted with the optic.
@@Ace-wu4zm I felt that my 5-25 Leupold was a little brighter than my night force 7-35. Both excellent scopes. For the money the Leupold is great. Want a 3.6 to 18 mark 5 but would definitely buy another mark 5 in the 5-25 or 7-35. Retical is great and they have the locking top turret and have excellent clarity and bright at low light. I only sold my 5-25 because I was switching everything to mil.
I am new to long range so I am still trying to learn.I am a handgun guy.I have shot competitively all over the east coast for about 8 years.Anyway I hope you can help me out.I have looked everywhere on how to zero this scope and there isn't anything specifically about it.I have this scope and I have had it for 10 months. It is on my new tikka t3x tac a1.I am already to go I just am not sure how to sight in this scope initially. So basically I take a target put it out to how many yards, you never specified?. You look through the barrel and move your elevation turrets until it lines up with the center of your bullseye on your target. After that you go to your windage turrets and move them until they are lined up as well. The setting my zero thing I'm confused by.Can you think of a simplified way of describing setting your zero.I really could use your help.Does everything else I said sound about right? Thank you so much!.Great videos! I am talking about taking the cap off of the elevation turrets. How do you actually set it after you sight your rifle in.Once I catch on I will do good afterwards.
@@Hades16899 it will only let u go down about 4 clicks past zero. If you need to go down further. Loosen your cap and set it away from the zero say at 6 mil or moa then it will let you go down.
It also has a min power of 7, so for long range shooting you often are not going to need less than 7 power anyway. Why not have 35 power for the most accurate point of aim when shooting groups?
This is where I think alot of people are wrong, sure you probably never need 35 power to shoot but if you have a scope that can go to 35 then when you use 20x to shoot at 1000 you will have much better focusing, field of view, and removing parallax than if you had a 4-20x scope shooting at 20x. So seems like haters trying to justify their reasons for by a 20x vs spending another 200 for the 35x lol. Plus I love shooting my nf at 32x at 100 for tiny groups
@@Forumrida38621 yes, I have a 20 power scope and a bunch of 24 and 25x optics. With the small price difference to upgrade to 35x it was a simple decision for me. I likely won't shoot at max powder other than for groups.
Nice combo with that scope, thanks

I am very happy with the set up so far! Santa did not pay for the optic however.
I was gonna say I hope that with how your channel is growing leupold offered you one in exchange for doing a review!
@@Forumrida38621 no, I did not reach out to them. I purchased the optic via euro optic.
@RobsReloading nice honestly for the quality of that scope it actually is very affordable compared to other options in its range
Nice work. I like to use a 10" orange sticky target at 100 when bore sighting. As it will usually fill the bore almost completely.
Sounds like that would be a good option as well

Top of the line scope right there!!!
Seems like it so far. After I get a little more experience with the optic I will do a review of sorts.
Better get her dialed in rayners range first round match starts in a few weeks it's going to be cold. That set up is sweet rob
I need to look at their schedule. Probably won't make it until early spring. Unless we have some mild weather this winter.
@@RobsReloading heck yeah I don't like this cold
You got one of those fancy schmancy high dollar scopes
Yeah I'm hoping it doesn't spoil me and force me to buy more of them.

7:33 don’t worry I won’t say anything we all do it. 😂 nice video man!
Why not just dial the crosshair to the first bullet hole, then your scope is basically dialled in.

Saved the bucks if you want it, that is what I am doing, but the 3.6-18x. I'm a veteran discount offering from Leupold.
Probablem is they never have anything in stock eligible for the discount.
I love mine I have it on my 6arc custom bolt gun
What distance are you shootong at to zero it?
100
You should have more turns for the top elevation something is set up wrong I have the same issue with mine
Which scope caps are those?
The next thing you should get to try out is an accutac bipod it is night and day difference from an atlas on how stable it is
What height MDT rings do you have there
Medium
I need some help, I got the turret stop locked and I have no clue how to unlock it so I can dial it how I want it. Any help would be great.
I take you have already tried pushing the button.
Yeah it’s high and won’t let me go down. I think I need to give them a call.

I’m new to shooting. The one thing I don’t understand is why guys only load one bullet at a time when the gun has a magazine.
Sometimes it's easier to load one round at a time, when you are unsure of how many your going to shoot. Sometimes it's easier than loading a magazine.

Unless you are a benchrest shooter, there is no practical use for a 35 power scope, especially a tactical scope, shaking my head
35 power for shooting tiny groups, lower power for other stuff. It’s like multiple scopes for the price of one.
