...I went to elementary school with a girl who wore a red pouch on simple cotton string which held something inside that had a string scent...a bit smelly for most yet not for me. What I noticed most is no one bothered her...yeah...children talked about her yet never went past certain points...she was being reared by her granny and I instinctively knew this item was to protect her...I was also drawn to the item, asked about it knowing she couldn't talk about it but more intrigued by doing the same for me...while she wasn't my intro to much more...she did leave a lasting impression...I ask that wherever she is...that she's living her best Life...Asè...and to you Mz Kora...Asè for your words and efforts to share our spiritual history. ..🙌
Her grandmother was very wise. Thank you for sharing, and it is my pleasure to also share. Blessings.

In Jamaica most of our ancestors are from the akan tribe you have igbo and Yoruba as well but mostly akan fante but we have a way of using herbs and earth bound spirits to make guard objects enclosed in sterling silver with quick silver to protect or increase wealth
That's amazing! Also, it is a perfect example of "preserving culture and traditions". Thanks for sharing.
@@KoraAmammereTano definitely I agree and thank you

Great suggestion! We will consider it. There are numerous ways to do it, and it varies depending on the ethnic group.
