The first release of the game is little buggy but on my experience I don't see major issues. I have the same base m1 air, the big problem for me is playing mercenaries because the 30fps and the thermal throttling but I buy a laptop cooling pad for that.

Considering how fast technology is advancing, specially concerning the performance of the M-series chips, it's getting pretty old for more modern games.
