- HERE IT IS! WIGWAM REDEMPTION in Holbrook Arizona! You may remember that I stayed the wigwams in Rialto/San Bernardino California, with very sketchy and disturbing results, but after receiving a refund from those wigwams, I decided to redeem the Route 66 experience and my bucket list dream by traveling the mother road to Holbrook Arizona and sleeping in the original Route 66 Teepees, WIGWAM VILLAGE #6!
Come with me and check out the real-life equivalent of Disney/Pixar's Cozy Cone motel from Cars Land, The Holbrook Wigwams!

Justin's channels are what the Travel Channel used to be. I finally figured out why I can watch some of these videos over and over again; they remind me of Summers with my Dad when I was growing up. Parents divorced when I was young but every Summer my Dad would take my sister and I on a "Adventure". Back in the days when a Summer felt like a year off from school. Thanks, Justin!
This Wigwam Motel blows the last one out of the water! This is how a business in America should be, and usually is ran. Thank you so very much for these awesome & greatly informative videos Justin. You have saved my family and I from a horrible experience at the other one. We will be sure to only visit this one in Holbrook, AZ. Looking forward to more of your fantastic videos! ;)
Hey, Holbrook is my hometown. I think that its really cool that you went out of your way to check out the location there after the bad experience that you had in Rialto. Thank you for doing that.
So glad to see this Wigwam stay was much better than the last. These are so well kept, too! Thanks for taking us along on such a fun experience, Justin!!! 😊
I just had to tell you how much my son loves your videos! At almost 5 years old sometimes watching your videos (randomeland more then this channel) is the only thing that will calm him down when he's upset. I really appreciate the kid friendly content and he just loves your videos!
when you said "we're back at route 66" i automatically expected the song to start and was taken back when it didn't lol
I am glad you had a better experience with this one. You deserve to have a better time . I hope you'll take Ally to this one .
…if he can talk her into it after that other one.
At 1:48 min. The glass insulators go on telephone poles, the wires are wrapped around the glass insulators. Also, people collect them as each one has the date it was made stamped on them, some date pretty far back.
Holbrook is my hometown, usually no one ever knows it exists lol so this makes me happy.
I'm glad you've had a much better experience this time around. Beautiful place and well kept.
after watching your videos my wife and I are going to travel route 66 for 2 months, thanks for the great videos
Such a different experience Justin! Great place! It's on my list for "road trip destination".
Heading there tonight. Thanks for this
Justin I am so happy for you that you finally got to stay in a better Wigwam Motel 😀
awesome as always Justin keep it up and safe travels
Definitely the best way to make things positive.
Your filmography ( hope that's a word) is excellent. Thanks for all you do.
The interior did look so much bigger (and nicer). Glad you had a happy experience.
Great video Justin. Kind of inspired me so I went and visited the Wigwam that was closest to me. The Wigwam #2 located in Cave City Kentucky. I didn't stay in one although they are open and plan to go back and stay. This one is a bit off the beaten path and doesn't look like it sees much traffic but still very cool. When I went into the main office the lady there gave me a lot of info about the place and when I asked her about the spiral staircase going downstairs she said that at one time it was a restaurant but now is just a storage area.
Just spent 2 weeks in the southwest. Except when I was in Utah and Albuquerque, I stayed on rt66. The people I talked to take great pride on this route and want to keep it thriving. I watched these videos before I went and saw what was mentioned in Arizona. Williams, Winslow and Holbrook Arizona were really fun towns. The woman I spoke with in Holbrook was bragging about being the only place on rt66 that has a 90° right turn. Did see the wigwam and Jack rabbit, but wasn't open yet when I got there. When I get back to NM, definitely going to tucumcari!
Very cool. Stayed there twice, and enjoyed every minute. redemption for the Wigwam. It was fun to sit outside and see tourists (yes like me) walk by and say, are you really staying here.
Justin you did it again another great blog I will look forward to the next blog sometime soon sometime.
Love this video! I know the Lewis family and I love how you appreciate all of the little details. HI from Holbrook!
Yay! Redemption in Arizona! As an Arizonan I knew we wouldn't let you down, Justin! I love the Holbrook Wigwam Village #6! Way better experience there for us too than what we had at creepy San Bernardino Wigwams (with that crazy kook yelling at us also. What a freak!) Oh the joy seeing your visit to the Arizona Wigwams. We have so much fondness for that place and I enjoyed your reaction to the vintage furnishings and cars, the night time views, that crazy 1970s air-conditioner, the tilty bathroom ceilings and authentic Native American style of the Navajo bedding and accents. This video made me so happy! Thank you!OH! And the Jackrabbit Trading Post! Another favorite Rt 66 classic! A suggestion: You should visit La Posada in Winslow sometime. It is a pretty remarkable place.
I love seeing the ole Wigwams in Holbrook! My cousin lives across the highway and one street over! Glad you enjoyed your stay!
What fun! Lived in Arizona for 40 + years. Great Mexican restaurant in Holbrook also. Stopped by here every time I drove to Keams Canyon, Winslow, Flagstaff. Drove 100 miles to work every day one way. What a life.
Great Video! We appreciate the historical facts that you include in these videos.
Great video as always! Glad the stay was better this time!
EXcellent video.Very redeeming and heartwarming.Thank you
Loving the evolution of your productions.
VALIDATION!!! So glad this was a great experience--you can write the last one off! Love the classic cars touch; I wish they still had the coin radios!
Great Follow up on the "better" Wigwam motel in AZ! Freaking awesome job Mr. RandomLand!
I'm going to Walt Disney World in October and your videos have inspired me to be extra observant while at the parks.
Thanks for letting us live your experience it was fun.
Thanks for all your videos Justin, I always enjoy seeing where in the U.S you are, and what crazy antics you're up to. P.S: Better luck next time when to tp a teepee.
Nice video Justin! I very much enjoyed the content, great job!
Going along with you on these awesome adventures is a real treat. Hopefully I can do something like this one day.
So glad I found this channel.
As soon as you mentioned the two beds, I had a feeling there would be some jumping action to ensue. I was not disappointed.
Glad you had a better experience in that Wigwam Motel. It definitely looked quite a bit nicer in this video. I bet no sewage came through the shower in this one.
Man that's great you had a better experience at this one. By the way I was at Disneyland the other day and saw a guy in a randomland shirt it made me smile and was about to say it's soo weiiirrrrrrrrdddddd seeing that shirt. lol thanks for all the adventures you take us all on. ☺️ keep it up.
I love how the trees are shaped like the Wigwams. So glad you had a better experience at the Holbrook one. :) Definitely have to go up and experience the place for myself. As a lover of everything Native American I would be in 7th heaven staying in one of the tee pees. :) I checked out the price for a room on their webpage and the price to stay in one isn't bad. I also love the added edition of the old cars. Sooo cool!
Hey I live in Holbrook! Glad you came our way! :)
Love the new format, dude! Can't wait to see some Randomland Adventures from WDW.
Awesome job as always Justin! Gimmie, Gimmie , Gimmie I need some more! Gimmie, GImmie, GImmie don't ask what for 1,2,3,4!
Always wanted to see one. Thanks!!
It looks lovely - one for my bucket list!
Glad you had a great time
Soooo awesome, thanks for sharing !
No shoes on the bed! It means someone in the house will die soon! - My German grandmother.
Oh my gosh, my grandma would say this too!!! I thought I was the only one! Lol
Wow never heard that one.
* Takes shoes off *
Being a native Arizonian, I'm extra glad that you enjoyed your stay at these Wigwams!
I've been by that motel when I was younger now, I'm going to have to stay there at least one night. Very cool Mr.J.
The glass insulator you got was used on street poles back in the 20s to 40s.
Stayed thee in 1953 for four days while my Dad had his car worked on at a nearby auto repair shop. Did a lot of adventures just outside the town.
Thank you Justin for this trip down memory lane. I also stayed at this same Wigwam Motel in 2003 on my drive to San Francisco from Louisiana. I wonder if the Safeway is still across the street? I liked the shower, too.
I remember those old style key chains that used to have the motel address on them in case you left with it in your pocket you could drop in the mail and it would be returned to the motel ☺️ ... Though how often would anyone actually do that🤔 Cool motel & so compact 🙂
Lol that last part and the "desk to do my makeup" part, hilarious!!!
Looks better than the other Wig Wam Motel. Great video!
According to the wigwam motel website, those 2 small wigwams in your book were restrooms. Love your videos!
Awesome, I really want to go now! Nice drive, no need for kevlar.
I had to replay that ending several times. HILARIOUS!!! Good job with the video. Kinda missing the sometimes vlog intro and the lack of music at the end, but you're doing an excellent job.
Thanks Justin, so enjoyed the video! Blessings Salo
If the Wigwam Motel was built in 1950, that means it's 66 years old - on Route 66! Weiiiird!
Love this video,I am from Whakatane New Zealand
Awesome vid, Justin!! So glad you got "redeemed" here. :-)
You need to visit little America, Wyoming off of I80. Very cool and interesting hotel and diner. There’s a residential area behind it where the employees live.
So much zaniness but kept me laughing!! Thanks for taking me along.
You got to check out the Buckhorn Mineral Baths on main st. In Mesa Az & the diving lady diving sign down the street.
I'm actually from AZ but now live in Cali so it's cool to see you explore my home state. :)
Yay!!! I'm so glad you came to our small little town :) glad it was a redemption kinda stay.
Justin, has anyone who owns a store or hotel on Route 66 ever mentioned if business picked up after Cars was released?
Yes! You finally made it! I love it!
Nice comeback from the last Video
Loved the last second attempt to TP the teepee.
Thank you so much. That was awesome. You have such a great sense of humor. I can't believe they can fit 2 beds in that little tee pee.
The glass inserts come from electrical poles in the 40s and 30s what they use to insulate the wire around the pole
LOL its good Kumar isn't at this Wigwam! i had an amazing time reading those yelp reviews! it was a crack up XD
So cool when you signed the book and in the "from" column you put "Randomland"..!!
Love the time lapse. At night Cool real cool
love the vids keep up the awesome work!
SO HAPPY FOR YOU MY FRIEND!
The floor is lava! Reminds me of the epic late night periscopes you did. 😎👍🏻
LOL I used to do the bed thing! But it was water with sharks.Glad this stay was nicer.
This place looks awesome!
im so itchin to go to holbrook great vid. once again
lol the end is priceless
another brilliant episode
glass insulators were used on telephone Telegraph and electrical pylons as they did not conduct electricity. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulator_(electricity)
Justin you should come to Oklahoma. RT comes through Vinita Ok about 35 miles from us. There's a historic cafe there called Clantons. Good food and good people. And if you want they'll give you a free sample if calf fries. 😏
forgot on rt 66.
Hey love your videos btw, but just one question. what song do you use at the end it sounds like a randomland remix in a 8-bit style but where can I find it?
Wow, way better than the other place. The inside looks nice except for the TV. Most hotels have flat screens.
Another awesome video!
One question... What happened to your Mustang???
I think this car was a rental
Nice shave and a haircut on the horn from the Engineer
Can't wait to see if you had better luck with this one, kind Sir! :-D
Glad you experience was a lot better :)
Glass insulators were used on telephone poles to connect the wires to the pole.
Looks like ur first Wigwam experience "Scarred" u for life!
I’m glad he knows teepees are different from wigwams.
Yay more Wigwam fun!
Hey Justin, just to let you know that the Holbrook Wigwam, was also a filming location for the movie; “Dark Wind” (91) base on the novel by Tony Hillerman, Starring Louis Diamond Phillips. So He was actually there in one those Wigwam teepees. Check out the movie, you’ll see. ☺️
Funny how you mentioned the one in San Bernardino x) I live around the corner from it haha.
Awesome video!
