Greetings from Scotland,
That was an excellent tutorial ... yes more on that subject would be appreciated ... always learn great techniques from you.
Thanks again Jim 👍
Ok great thanks so much Martin (and I LOVE Scotland!).
Thank you, Jim, for this little tutorial. Please continue providing tutorials on the Lightroom Masking features. Lightroom Classic is where I start all of my editing before going to other editing apps. I always learn something by watching your UA-cam Videos.
Thank you so much Donald and I will do more for sure!
Something that I have never played with. Would love to see a more detailed dive into Luminance Range Masks. Thanks !!!
ok thanks Bill and I will do more for sure!
Nicely explained and demonstrated Jim. Thank you.
thanks so much Tony!
A very powerful tool. I remember watching your Luminar 4 video on luminosity masks 3 years ago. It is so disappointing that Neo does not spend their efforts on bringing back serious tools like that but puts their efforts into fluffy effects like star, neon and glow.
It is a great tool, and I agree we need it in Luminar again. I spoke to them about that recently and am hopeful that it gets added - it's incredibly useful. Thanks for watching.
Excellent tutorial Jim.
thank you!
Love this. This is new for me so if possible can we get more of this?
thanks Chris and yes I will do more!
Great Jim… I would be very happy with some more lessons about the luminance mask! Also a detailed explanation of the Luminar slider. Thank you for coming back to LR..
Ok great, thank you for the feedback!
Great job. I learned a lot and will watch again
thanks so much!
Very helpful Jim. I will be using this going forward!
thanks for watching Dave!
Thank you so much, now I can play with these options easily
thanks for watching!
Thank you for this great video. I have never tested this tool.
thanks for watching!
Jim, I'd sure appreciate more of your thoughts on Lightroom masking. I'm new to LR Classic/PS and am learning by doing. Thanks!
Ok thanks and will do more for sure!
Would like to see more. Great lesson.
Ok great thanks so much Stan!
By this time next year you'll be doing videos on luminosity masking in Photoshop
LOL maybe sooner as that is a great feature in PS for sure.
more please! Excellent!
thank you, glad you liked it and yes I will do more
Thank you for a great tutorial.
thanks for watching!
Jim, I apologize for going off topic, but what kind of gloves do you use, if any, shooting in cold weather? I use the Heat system for Arctic Temps, but they are a bit overkill for much of the time, and I am about to retire my old Freehands pair. Thanks.
No worries and I have a pair from Vallerret and they are great. photographygloves.com/
These new masks are great, I can’t wait to play around with them. Thanks for the tutorial Jim.
thanks for watching Ron!
I'd like to see more on using this tool.
Ok thanks and yes I plan to do more.
Very informative video, thanks.
thank you for watching!
Very nice! Haven't seen many tutorials on range masking!
Thank you for watching and I plan to do more.
This video was very helpful for me - look forward to applying it in my landscape photography ! Daniel Chui
Thanks for watching and glad it helps!
Love all your videos. Keep them coming! Please.
thank you Myra!
Hit the "N" key to add another mask of the same type you used last. Thanks for you look at masks. All use them different and I like to see all the ideas.
thanks for watching!
I'm a new subscriber
I appreciate that!
Thanks
thanks for watching!
Merci
Thank you.
I watch practically all of your videos on Neo and LR. This is the first where I had no idea what you were talking about and so stopped watching after less than 5 minutes.
Hi Adrian, thanks for watching my videos. Can you clarify why you didn't understand what I was talking about this time? Did I use confusing words or examples? Was I just plain confusing in some way? Maybe I jumped in without enough background explanation? Something else? I always want to make useful instruction videos so any feedback is appreciated so I can be more clear next time. Thanks! 🙏🏻
That seems more like your problem than Jim's! I found this video simple, straightforward, and easy to understand. I have found opening up a lightroom photo and follow along performing the steps in synch with Jim's makes it very easy to not only understand but remember. And I'm 80 years old and learning new things can be a challenge!
