THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH! I work as video editor for over 10 years now, using mostly Premiere Pro, but sometimes do create some effects I use AE, but NEVER had made a 3D animation SO SO SIMPLE as you showed. Thank you! I kind of learning more about after effects right now, want to create more VFX than just some basic effects, and this 3D view was catching me hard. You saved a lot of my time and my work haha
Thank you so awesome to hear about and thank you for your kindest feedback and comment! Once you learn the tool more I highly recommend you getting some plugins, a lot of developers out there have done an incredible job with these. Again, much appreciated it Darcieli! 😀 👋
You're a wonderful educator! Thank you so much for explaining 3D in such a digestible way. I'm new to AE coming from video editing and this is the tutorial I was looking for. Thanks a bunch.
This is the best AE tutorial I've seen in ages. I really like the pace, the CC and your explanations. It's very clear and I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials. Thanks for making this.
What an exceptional tutorial! There are paid classes for this stuff and you explained it even better than the Adobe Certified Instructors. You should definitely see if they would hire you ;)
@@EliasSarantopoulos i need to put one perpendicular axe on a 2d image (layer of photoshop). that image has a 45 degrees rotation, but i can't find the possibility to move the axes of gizmos
Hi! Elias, I am a novice and nice thing to learn from you. Also, I was wondering, how did you change your Viewport or Custom View 1 viewport color and grid colors I have a default dark theme, and if you could please make a video for that purpose it will be very helpful. Thank you.
The views are there for you to see different angles so whatever the Active Camera is showing, that's the end result. You can still manipulate on another view, for example, Custom View 1 but the results are showing on Active Camera, the Default one. Hope this helps. 😀 👋
Hello Elias, First its a great Helping skills Tutorial, but my Draft 3D is disabled even that Hardware Accelerate Panels is On checked in the Preferences > Display. What I'm doing Wrong?
Good Morning sir Elias I'm using Ae2017 I watch your video trying to make something like it but in my AfterEffects I didn't found this create camera from 3D view and classic 3D bottom is not showing on the timeline thought I make the layers in 3D. Help me figure this out.
@@maban_studio9448 That is your processor. Try to find your graphics card. Inside your Device Manager and under the Display Adapters you can find that information.
Sorry for whining but I have to ask... Are we are forced to use the stupid gizmos? Where's the camera-function controller that used to be at the top where the hand, cursor, pen and other selection tools are?! I used to just be able to hold down CTRL and use my my mouse controls to navigate around my 3D scenes in real time! Are we really left no other choice but to keep running back and forth between the different gizmos at the top?!
Drinner, I hear you, that was my first reaction to the latest After Effects version. After spending time again and again I realized I can't live without the Gizmos in combination with the Draft 3D mode and 3D Ground plane, this way you see exactly what you are pulling. As for the tools, they are separated into three groups and using the keyboard shortcuts 1, 2, 3 will switch in between. They are the same, they added more functionality, for example, the Orbiting around the cursor, before it was only Orbit around a scene so these new additions have improved the user experience by making things easier to be carried out. At least this is my observation. 😀

there is a way to rotate the axes so that they are perpendicular to an image by 45°
Honestly, I haven't tried it yet, but I don't seem to have any limitation, the 3D gizmos move in any direction possible. 😊
