I'm not sure if I'm correct but I believe the 5 yuan boxes are from a different "series" than the 10 yuan boxes (there's also a 2 yuan per pack series) (so just because it's 5 yuan set 2 doesn't mean it's from the same time as the 10 yuan set 2), and they've only made 2 sets so far so it's actually not that old and is still being sold/printed
Oh interesting! I'm always trying to learn more, each of the boxes does have a flier showing the changes in that box but I bet you are right and it's still the same set - just a different product level and maybe some new rarities. I certainly pull a lot of the same base from most of these.

They do have the ant logo and everything so they are definitely legit, but I'm curious as to how that is possible 🤔 Edit: I just noticed that on the packs, instead of "5" or "10" in a corner, it says "Z"...
Hey! I'd love to get @the_silver_tree to answer this. They'd know from the backs of the cards if they are really the Kayou ones or one of the counterfeits that showed up a few months back. If you check my latest MLP video I open a box of Kayou 2-yuan cards with the new N rarity so you could compare what you have to those too.
Lol, I have TONS of bubble wrap! I recently moved and I didn't have to spend a penny for bubble wrap! Lol I have opened 8 boxes of this set and am surprised that I have been getting at least 2 SGR or an SGR and an SC per box. Not sure why. I'm shocked at how expensive the SC's from this box are selling for on ebay! If I have to pay $80-100 for an SC I might as well buy a case of these boxes and take my chances of being buried alive in bulk! Lol The SCs in this box are all pretty ugly. The previous SCs are more attractive. I like the more matte finish on the SRs in this box. you are correct the odds look the same but it seems unusual that I have opened that many boxes but have not been able to get all of the SR, and SSRs yet. Maybe I have been having worse luck with my boxes or they have made some SRs and SSRs more rare than others. I have more boxes on order...I wonder if the seller on ebay is selling the SCs at those prices because the older box SCs are selling for $80-100 but those are much older. I will wait and see what the Ali sellers will sell them individually for. Hopefully it will be less. I think Spike has cucumber slices on his eyes. I have only ever seen cucumbers be used but maybe it was zucchini.
haha - I keep a bunch of it the closet too for shipping and packing things, it's kind of a convenient side effect. The secondary market for these cards always impresses me - but I hadn't looked at Saint Seiya's market in a few months and another commented showed me the /99 Hades cards are selling for over 2,000$ - they had sold their copy for 1,600$! I can't even process that 😳🤯

From what I could see on the description sheet, it is the same type of product as the dream of the red chamber, both in terms of quality, as well as the type of rarity and content of the boosters. Note that the illustrations seem to be once again the work of the Chinese painter Dai Dunbang (for the anecdote who depicted himself on the drawing of the two numbered QRs from the dream of the red chamber). YES!! I am really excited to open that one, I was thinking of doing the video this weekend and opening the rest of my Dreams box at the same time. I believe that Dai Dunbang's artwork is also used in the Card.Fun set featuring cats as classical historical figures.

I can't know exactly who created the illustrations for this series but it seems that the author of Cat painting series is the designer Su Zhenglou (According to the Google translator for the product sheets.) Nevertheless and I agree with you here above, Dai Dunbang may have participated directly or indirectly, because this series includes limited cards autographed by each of the two artists (LGP of a drawing for Zhenglou and GP with a photo portrait of Dunbang). I wish you an excellent opening and see you soon for new discoveries.
That actually makes a ton of sense, in a TCG we'd call them like "Common" cards not rare - rare would be a pretty high tier in a Magic set for example, not the base.

I've never found full set lists for these, I'm working on a longer written article explaining the series and did a more recent video here that tries to explain more about what the products are: ua-cam.com/video/GSxhOf3KKGg/v-deo.html Each box is not a unique set really, I think of it more at one big set with different series of cards being released, but then newer boxes will include copies of some older cards sometimes while also introducing new rarity levels entirely. One thing to consider is that you can really only buy the latest boxes for retail cost anymore, you can't get the older ones at all or you have to pay outrageous markups. We've got a small discord too with a dedicated MLP channel and a few expert collectors in there if you have more questions: discord.gg/ME7U6NNQ
That's my guess too, I saw some actual non-kayou bootlegs on instagram and they have a really different look to them and a common card back that isn't like what Kayou does. I think the little orange and blue "Let's Go" boxes are Kayou boxes, just retail level products

What if the lone R cards means Regular instead of Rare..
