Important: Your laptop needs to have vents underneath it for these two laptop coolers to work nicely. For example, if the vents are on the side or the top of your laptop, the cooling air is not going to do much.
Also, running other benchmark programs can provide more specific information, but this is a nice general overview video for everyone.
Enjoy!
so if I'm trying to use this on my 16inch M2 Macbook Pro, it wouldn't do much?
@@BryanMiraflor I don't know if that computer has vents underneath it. For my MacBook Pro (older model) it didn't do much for it, my hands stayed feeling hot since my machine was already releasing a lot of heat, so the improvements were not noticeable.
@@jpalacesneakers dang, alright. yeah the new macbooks don't have vents underneath either. they're the same.
@@BryanMiraflor I will test out the MacBook Pro in more detail for you, to see if there is a possibility. Take some of the foam out, position the machine differently, maybe have it sit lower, etc etc. Let you know if anything works sufficiently.
I mainly had focused on the windows but I got you Bro 👍
@@jpalacesneakers gotcha. ya I was reading some reviews on amazon and reddit. apparently this thing doesn't really help M1/M2 Macbook Pro users or even the old gen models. Just cause the exhaust of these laptops are the style where they come out the back of the LCD.
Finally someone who's testing these coolers on a decent modern laptop, most videos i see are just either old garbage laptops that literally need the cooler or low spec modern ones that don't necessarily need it so its hard to put into perspective what the cooler will actually do for me.
I wanted to test it on a modern laptop because they can still run hot. A cooler can help boost the performance: improve the frames, make the machine run smoother, and even increase the longevity use.
When editing heavy video without a cooler I can feel the hot air being released, with the cooler much less. Big improvements, even though it's still a modern device.
It's a great purchase for sure wolfstorm 💯👌👌
Thanks mate. Was heavily leaning towards IETS because that is the only type of cooler like this that I even knew existed but, after your review, I am leaning heavily towards the Liano.
They both are honestly really good, some aesthetic and performance differences, really just going to come down to what you like the most / personal preference. I use the Llano one all the time!
@@jpalacesneakers Yeah, I think if I had bought the IETS, I would have been happy with what it does. But based on your review, the Liano is better where I want it to be better. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this review! Have been trying to find a video comparison for these two and only u did it 🙏
Much sucess!
Means a lot, thanks for the nice gesture
Thank you man, good stuff
Glad the video was able to help you, that was my goal
Nice vid, great comparison 💯
Glad you liked it Broskis
Although both tests were equal and gave correct values. I remember reading somewhere from a user, that if you put the iets on a higher angle, it really improves a lot in the air intake. It would be very interesting to see the test results in your case.
I like that idea, appreciate the message, I will definitely test it out 👍👍
Hi! Never owned a laptop cooler before. Are the dust filters in the Llano washable and reusable? or do you have to purchase new ones? If they are, will running them through water be enough? Thanks!
I will report back tonight just seen this 👍
It is similar to many other filters: can dust it first, then even run a moist cloth or some water through it, and let it dry thoroughly. The filter is a softer spongy-like material, so it will absorb some water, just don't be too rough and take your time to not damage it.
Also, it's a nice detail the cooler arrives with one filter already pre-installed and an extra one in a small bag, so you get a total of 2 filters.
With this said, I feel the only option is to re-use the filters, I tried looking online and on Amazon and couldn't find replacement filters. Unless you get a generic brand filter and cut it to size.
I too will be re-using the llano filters, just being careful when I do clean them.
Hope this helps Ed 👍👍
Thanks for the good video
Thanks Bro really appreciate your comment, I tried to put all the info for everyone
Great video 👍👍
Appreciate it and I'm glad it was useful to you 👌👌
can i use llano v12 for 14 inches laptop?
Do the buttons and the scroll wheel look like they can handle the constant change of fan speed? Would be a pain if it was set at high, then you can’t adjust the fan speed because the buttons/wheel does not work anymore.
I've been using at night the lower speeds, and during the day when no one is around the faster speeds. I wasn't concerned about the buttons as much as the wheel, but the wheel has been handling the changes really well. I do change the wheel speeds really fast (just spin it down or up with no regard) and it's been nothing but realiable.
I actually started liking the buttons better because of how it looked (more sleek), and the wheel wasn't really my taste at first but now I like the wheel better because of how fast you can spin it.
The overview: they both have performed excellent with no issues, very reliable from what I've noticed. I do recommend both!!
Hope this helps 👍👍
I thought that was a cooking stove at the first place. 🤷♀
I totally see it lol that's a good one 👌
You must have air intake on the bottom of your laptop
For example
MacBook Air will not work
MacBook Pro will
100% correct, for some it will and with others it won't work, I actually also have a MacBook Pro and I tried it, it started making some funny whistling sounds (it was playing a symphony at some point) so I looked under and no vents! My model is an older model though (vents point to the side), definitely everyone has to check their laptop before buying.
Has it ever been reported that ice particles have been seen covering the laptop when using these coolers at maximum speed? Also, have you ever heard of it damaging the fans in the computer when running at maximum, such as the fans breaking off and sticking into the motherboard?
Do you think this is an AC unit? 😂
@@aymenbx648 lolol that was so funny bro 🤣
(by the way, any question is a good question @user)
@user-hf4qo4tf3z I never heard of the ice particles, those would have to be some extreme conditions with moisture in the air.
For the coolers at max speed, there can be the possibility that the internal fans of the laptop run at lower rpms and the cooling pad runs at much higher rpms so can cause the fans to not work correctly or if the cooling air is entering in such a way they fight the internal fans in the opposite direction so it could cause them to not work properly. Overall I'm going to say it's not very likely. If it is a concern, best to check the specs of your laptop or even call the manufacturer and get more information to properly have a better idea if a laptop cooler will work nicely with the internal fans.
Best wishes my friend, hope this helps 👍 👍
@@jpalacesneakers Thank you so much for your kind, and helpful reply. Appreciated.
@@aymenbx648 I kind of thought so, yes, and so looking for something to replace the refrigerator. ;-)
in a tolerable use, because using this fan without headphones will cause ear fatigue and you will notice it over time, the measured use could be with 1200 rpm, in this range the efficiency should be measured, I have the iets gt600 it works but the constant noise It is not something that is good for health.
It's golden with headphones, 100%! I agree, the constant noise of the fans at 2800 rpm can leave that ghost hum that sometimes people experience when they hear a sound over and over and then that sound is gone but the ghost hum is still there.
That's a great question, cooling efficiency vs. protecting ear health - to find the best middle ground. What is best for long-term use.
Appreciate the reply Etson, more to think about and research!
I want the Llano but it's about ~140€ amazon 😢.
Is it worth the price? I got a 15, 6 msi laptop i7 13th/ 4070.
I have the exact same laptop as you if I think correctly. Im gonna get one also, it should be worth it!
100% worth it, makes your computer run more smoothly, especially if it gets hot or warm, cooling it down can make it last longer and improve the performance/gaming frames! I recommend it, Cley your future self will thank you
@cptwennart1406 Definitely, does really help! Captain knows 💯👍
in philippines its only 3000pesos = 50 euro
@@haagengeorge8030 that's a really good price
I get the IETS coz it support support smaller laptop compare to Llano
Definitely, if your laptop is smaller the IETS will fit much better, you can tell with the side by side view. Plus, you get extra foam if you need to make some adjustments.
if the loptop is like 17-18inch llano better looking, its perfectly fit, because the iets look small specially for big loptop like 18inch its like a toy
@haagengeorge8030 I agree for a much bigger laptop llanos is a better fit 👌👌
Which one for 16”?
@@DanDansNoodle my laptop is a 16 inch in the video, the IETS looks more cleaner and nicer since it's closer to the size of a 16" laptop, but I do have to say I just like how my laptop sits on the llano, feels like it's on a tank lol. Can't go wrong with both, all preference how it looks. Llano has better performance by a bit more degrees of cooling. Choose what you like 👍
IETS is just a chinese copy of the Llano cooling pad lol
Lol twinning
