So I remember when this was first released and posted on NRW and I fell in love, went to buy it on bandcamp and added to cart, for whatever reason I never went thru with the purchase. Now about a year later, I found it sitting in my cart and was like what's this.......oh.....OH...OHHHHH! Purchased! So glad I remembered to atleast save it on my cart!
Man... this was _fantastic_ ! What a breath of fresh air. I love Synthwave but even I have to admit that the genre can feel a bit samey and one-note at times... not here though! I'm a big fan of Dark Ambient as well, so some of the more ambient elements really elevated this for me. These Dark Woods was probably my favorite, though it's hard to say - both that track and Ancient Machine had a very Makeup and Vanity Set vibe (Ancient Machine really reminds me of something like "Turing / Gone Dark"), which is absolutely _fine_ by me because I love those guys. Wonderful work all-round and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more releases in the future!
Never gave too much attention to this music i hear bits and pieces but the attraction grew more and more . until last year which became a full binge on synthwave and i dont see myself getting tired of it.
pretty great album all in all, the commercials after each track were bugging me out though. Total vibe killer, oh well, NRW gotta pay them bills somehow.
I want to be in the future rn like imagining in the year “idk” maybe 2465 or something like seeing futuristic cars flying on top of us and the RAIN like in a futuristic way that is what I WANT and I always imagine that in my dreams so it can be real and ONE THING I wanna to LIVE LONGER to see this happen. Thank you🙏🏼 new retro wave
42ish, reminds me massively of Silent Hill on PS One, but then explodes into something so much more. Can only thank these audio geniuses for bringing this out.
This whole album sounds like it belongs in Granado Espada. Although it's a Korean game, it had some of the most atmosphereric and revolutionary electronic music of any video game I've ever played. This is probably one of my all time favorite albums ever.
It's a good album, but what really drew me to Deadlife was how Bionic Chrysalis and The Order of Chaos gave me beautiful dark synth/retro sounds that weren't aggressive like most I've heard and had top tier vocals to go with the music which made the albums to be very unique and stand out to me.
Pathos Station and Ancient Machine are very dope - two of my favorites on this, killer atmosphere and something about Pathos Station's simplicity is nice - but Winter with Millie for some reason to me is one of the most beautiful tracks I've heard in a very long time - one of my favorites of all time I think. Get a lil gentle rain track in the background behind it, get you some real cyberpunk / Bladerunner vibes (trust me, it adds so much to the track).
I'm having trouble pinning down exactly what I want to say about this album, but that first track is pretty much everything I want from an NRW style track.
A very good PC, for starter. Some extra memory. A home studio software, and samples. Plus whatever physical instrument you'd want to add to the mix (In which case you also need recording equipment and a soundproof room) . Regarding the samples, Check out Samples From Mars, they're doing a huge sale of every product they've ever made (5 years worth of making samples for 39$)
Oh no! Why is this album removed from payed Spotify!? I miss "Before the rain falls"! Edit: It's back! It seems track 8 "Pathos Station" is the only one now from the album to be blocked.
Great album and I really love NewRetroWave but the amount of ads in this made me stop halfway through...I know that everyone has to pay rent and need some kind of income but an ad after almost every track is annyoing....

It's genre-bending artists like DEADLIFE that counteract stagnation and complacency within a genre. Great album!

DJ Pyro Teknikz thank you, sir
Would love Deadlife to do another album like this.. amazing body of work.
Deadlife's previous work = Dubstep influence
Variations On The Resolve = Chillstep influence
I hope he keeps this style going.
I didn't really like The Order of Chaos, but this album solves all the gripes I had with it.
Very nice
haven't seen you for a while
he's back!
He had to go return some video-tapes.
That he did@@MichaelWaisJr lmao
Let's see Paul Allen's album.
I need this on vinyl. I've been saying that for 4+ years but really. Not only for the music but imagine that artwork in a vinyl format... Bring it on.
Great album. Just what I need to finish this damn essay.
"What Will Become Of Us?" was my favorite. Love those heavy sounds.
Love the new intro !
Way better than the old one for sure.

I didn't know Dreaming in the Garden was on this album! I've listened to it several times already!
One of the best chillwave albums on earth!
Never gave too much attention to this music i hear bits and pieces but the attraction grew more and more . until last year which became a full binge on synthwave and i dont see myself getting tired of it.
Day 496. Still addicted to synthwave.
Should seek help. Or not.
yes, seek help to find more synthwave artists
The medicine is the disease. You have been assimilated. Don't fight it or we'll have to force you to comply with high kicks and distant synth pads.
What Chewy said.
We are NRW. You Will be Assimilated. Resistance is Futile...
What will become of us?
My God, that opening track....totally epic and beautiful. Belongs in a movie or videogame soundtrack

A really beautiful album, reminds me the feelings I had listening to Monolyth by Captain Panic the first time
Very ambient. Almost like a modern day Tangerine Dream.
This is sick.
Darkwave masterpiece!
I'm having trouble pinning down exactly what I want to say about this album, but that first track is pretty much everything I want from an NRW style track.
Quite the view~
Almost there

Cool
Needed
It recalls me the Deus Ex Human Revolution soundtrack. 56 minutes of futuristic, dystopic ambience, maybe perfect for Philip K. Dick's novels.
yep
#zon the Air conditioner top right, weeeeirrrd
Please someone point me in the right direction. What equipment do i need to produce perfection like this?
A very good PC, for starter. Some extra memory. A home studio software, and samples. Buy the album on band camp. Support the artist.
I'm inventing a sub-genre for this: "New New-Age" 😁
