Quite interesting Gal. No matter what the current performance specifications are, it's always good to see another HD entry appear. Additional competitors can only be good for us in the long run.
Thanks John. It's a pretty interesting system and I hope to test it soon.
Pretty interesting system indeed, Gal! Great review! 😃
For quadcopters it wouldn't be useful... But for a slow rc truck, like a crawler? Probably! Who knows. 😊
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks a lot Mario, you too :-)
Got one on preorder. It will be going into one on my Mini Talon planes. This could be useful on our farm for crop surveying 200+acres.
I'm currently using the DJI FPV system on a Mini Talon which works well enough but definitely could use higher definition and range plus DJI isn't really setup for mapping data and live feed telemetry like this has.
This uses same encoder as DJI H.264 encode hardware so this COULD be interesting. My biggest attraction to this is its ability to run a sim so we can use the 4G network..
That's very interesting. I am going to release a couple of videos about this system soon.
Which flight controller are you going to use?
Interesting, I think that this kind of system may be suitable for heavy drones. For example cinema drones or agricultural drones. Would be interesting to understand the flight controller features in ter of automatic operations like photogrammetry or something else.
Hi! Very useful video. But can you tell me if the radiator part of the Receiver (including the fan) is open directly to the electronics inside or it is solid on that side ? (at 3:25). Im trying to make a water resistant cover for the Receiver.
It will be nice if SIYI can shorten the size of the air unit so we can put it in a 5” quad for freestyling
The latency alone will cause you to crash your quad
Thanks for your suggestion, Mr Leston. This system should not be made for racing drones. Welcome to keep an eye on our future products!
Yes, as I mentioned it's not for racing drones, but maybe SIYI will come up with another system in the future which will be compatible with our hobby.
This is perfect for a ground vehicle, FPV tracked rover perhaps?
Yep you can use it for that purpose as well.
can you increase single camera resolution OR range, by not having the second camera?
As far as I can remember it should increase the picture quality.
does the 2 slider buttons have a push function as well?
No
Are you able to do channel mixing with this controller?
Yes
Won't be installing that on a Whoop then...Niche Market...🤔🙄🇬🇧
Haha :-)

Interesting kind of. Just seems like it would need a really big plane to make the best use of it. Also, that lag looks pretty terrible.
I will try to measure the latency on one of the next tests. You should also note that using two cameras together increases the latency.
That's actually around same lag youd get with a DJI Mavic ect.. This is geared more towards large UAV'S either multiRototored or Fixedwing.. OpenHD latency is worse then this and I found it unreliable personally. Although it wouldn't suprise me if that's what this systems based off of. Hmmm
Even at 180ms latency if it's consistent it's a pretty decent and clean setup. Be curious to see what you do with it.
More tests will be up soon :-)
Please give this full review of clear range in vedio quality?
Will do.
When I purchased my V2 goggles YESTERDAY, DJI was still the only HD option, lol.
There was SharkByte too
@@thirtythreeeyes8624 You're right, I almost forgot. Now comes the wait, I don't have anything to pair the goggles to yet.
Aomway, fatshark, insight, OPENHD,herelink You clearly didn't research that well lol
@@Hughjanus720 TBH, my decision was already made, lol. But I welcome more options.
@@Hughjanus720 There is also the old DJI ocusync hd system before DJI fpv system.
Can u make range test and vedio and data range exactly??
Yes, more videos will be out soon.
HDMI adapter doesn't work with Canon R5 and Canon 5dmk3
More precise it doesn't work when camera is in PAL you have to change to NTSC system to get video from Canon cameras
Thanks!
@@mironuw6917 So If you are in Europe you can't use MK15. HDMI adapter is faulty !!!
@Miron UW did you like the MK15? I’ve had a VD32 & having heaps of trouble with it so I’m upgrading to MK15 & hope it’s trouble free
Did you also tried to implement a 3rd party IP Camera > We wonna implement a IR Camera (with an Rasp.)
Not yet, sorry.
OMG from where did it came this?! Is this a competitor of dji? That's completely unexpected i was expecting news from fatcat and news came from an unknown (?) company
SIYI is not a new company and they actually have a vast experience making radio systems.
I'd guess this is more based off of OpenHd ecosystem. Definitely not near what DJI digital is. Although this imo could be a better choice for surveying crops. I've built and used Openhd not to long ago and found it was way to unreliable and laggy. This imo is a refined version of Openhd ecosystem.
That's what a lot of these companies do. They let the Open source devs do all the work then swoop in and build a refined version and try to make cheese. JS.
How long does it take to ship out to usa
I am not sure, please reach out to SIYI and ask them.
does it work with 4s lipo
Yes

180ms? That’s a lie. At 6:28 I can clearly see that the latency is near 500ms (0,5 second)! I have OpenHD system and I can tell that this video system has 4x the latency of OpenHD which is 125ms.
Of course, there are many good image transmission systems. But, could it be a little arbitray to leave a such a judgement by "eye test"? The 180 ms latency declared by SIYI is an average latency counted by repeated timer tests. In an ideal condition, it reaches to lower than 150 ms. And, please pay attention that it is the latency from camera to the Android application. Not to mention that Gal was doing a dual video stream test at 6:28. If there are people who thinks that OpenHD and SIYI system are direct competitors, welcome to do some solid and fair tests on all specs, resolution, frame rate, latency, range, etc.
I will perform a latency test soon. There is no need to call it a lie as judging from a few frames in a video is not a very scientific way of testing it out :-)
As mentioned in the video, more tests and videos will be up soon.
@@KremerFPV please perform a flight latency test before suggesting what a company is claiming.
I’m not calling you a lier, you’re a honest person and I have been following you for years. It’s just companies tend to lie just to sell their product. Look at the new Runcam MIPI camera for example. They were saying that it supports Raspberry Pi until we emailed them. Then they removed from the specs their claim.😊
My point is that as reviewers we should first do our own tests and then publish data to the public that they trust us.
@@SIYITech I’m sorry but I can’t trust you as you clearly want to sell your product.
All I know is that OpenHD can go 40km distance and still has HD video. Judging by facts, video proofs.
But we would be more than happy to see an OpenHD solution made by your company.😊🍻
@@mariofpv Point taken Mario. Thanks again for your continuous support.
A little bit cheaper than herelink.
Yes its price is very competitive.
Air unit is too heavy. For me it's a no go :(
Well this product is not for everyone.
