I saw the comments below. I consulted the remote control manufacturer SIYI. They launched a new 40km tuner for only 39.9 US dollars. It is a long-distance accessory, the price of 39.9 US dollars includes (tuner + receiver + Bluetooth). If you pursue long-distance and stability, whether it is a fixed-wing or a crossover, you can use long-distance accessories. This way you don't have to spend money on the remote control again. A very good accessory, coupled with a very low price, I can't wait.
I don't really understand why people care so much about all those radio features. I mean yeah they are important for los flights but for Fpv everything you need is on the osd. All the transmitter needs to do is transmit controls to the transmitter. With that said, I'm not all that impressed with this range. I mean yeah it's above average but it's nowhere close to the level of other long range options. Maybe this is good for new flyers but I doubt they'll get many people to switch especially considering most of us have module bays which we can add better long range options to for less or the same amount money than buying a whole new setup.

You are a good man to go through all that process of relearning everything. I’m sure it’s cause you’re curious but for goodness sake give us a button on the receiver. I think you’re right, OpenTx could be replaced any day. I hope so, it is so antiquated and tries to do too much. Wish we had option to load quad or multi, etc. but we need a better interface.
You had a great (but scary) opening point. What it OpenTX takes a dump on us?!? I just got the Radiomaster. That'd be tragic... So based upon that, I'm interested in knowing more. However, wish the MFG was a bit more open and forthcoming with you. After all, you're putting more eyes on the model than they are. Had they told you their hush hush was strategic and "We'd rather wait on providing that info until we're ready for launch." I'd have more faith. But what do I know⁉️⁉️ Great review all the same. OpenTX as an ecosystem for transmitters is an open source community run effort that has established a good user base. The user community thrives to make every effort to enhance the abilities of existing hardware and provide features that manufacturers would just expect to bundle in a new product purchase. So we as a user base are dependent on enhancing OpenTX. Even if Frsky or Radiomaster or Jumper close shop tomorrow the radios will still be operational and people will still enhance the functionality till we hit the limit of the hardware.
With a closed ecosystem, once the manufacturers close shop or announce a product end of life, the users are left with a brick that does only what it was last updated to do.

Someone already did the range test. Almost 5km without failsafes and can do more. Looks like the rx is really a long range and they have their own module which looks promising..
I saw also someone contacted Siyi company, and they told him that they'll introduce the 40km module.
The 40-kilometer tuner has been launched.

but nope. have a handful of radio already. from flysky i6 -> jumper T8SG v2+ -> taranis QX7.
but if it where cheap, that would be a good(?) beginners choice I think(!). not sure though of product quality and support. AND RANGE (about 500-600m maybe) too short.

Remember it was along the ground. Ground interference reduces range.
It's a good range already on lower ground and looks like this rx-tx can do more than 500m. It isnt failing safe yet and just alerting low rssi rignal. Looks promising

I actually don't value OpenTX at all. In fact, I mentioned in the video, I try to not allow myself to become too dependent on any one system and try to use as few features as possible. So I have no clue how you came to this conclusion.

The web page for this radio has screen shots of the telemetry page with Chinese symbols. How is any non Chinese user supposed to take this product seriously ?
