Went to see The Fureys last night in New Brighton. They sang this beautiful song. As soon as he mentioned Mammy it had me in tears. Such a moving song and performed with such emotion and feeling. The Fureys thoroughly deserve their decades of success.
Me and my lovely wife,had the pleasure of seeing these brilliant singers , musicians story tellers,love in Tavistock, Devon and they were brilliant live ,I was crying through a lot of there songs ,they sounded even better live,plus Eddie told a few ribald stories,this was a brilliant evening listening to a wonderful band ,and the Turret in Tavistock is good venue,not massive capacity so easy to get close to the band.,Live in Tavistock.

last time I met The Fureys they were doing a charity gig at My local Village Hall. I had quite a long conversation with Paul and was stunned when he died 6 months later. So sad
