I like this version because it is slower than how Al Green’s originally sang this song. Talking Heads I think tie Gov Mule for best rendition. I have listened too 50 covers of Take Me To The River.
Get Behind the Mule. Just watch ur step! Saw them at the Ryman on this tour. Damn good band. Saw Warren with the Allmans. He and Derek fried our brains.
Mule, by themselves, killed it in Macon, Ga a few nights ago! But, hey, it was Macon, the place brings that out in bands. Go to a show there, especially the Grand or Auditorium, be sure to go to "Grant's" after the show for the real Encore...they ain't done just because the show is over...
This version is way better than the one that Steve Winwod and Eric Clapton did. The arrangement had more feel on the guitar parts and the singer had more soul.
Warren is such a beast!!
Real music brings hope to a stormy day,it moves every soul especially the old😎
What a great version of this song !!!!!!!!!!
Killer version of the al green classic!
🎸
Warren is awesome!!! Such a great guitar player people forget he's just as good as a lead singer! The real deal! Vintage Trouble a great band as well
DAYUM!!!!!! this is GOOOOOOOOD!!!!!
Everything Warren covers is gold
Great band. Great job. Great song.
Warren Haynes does it again....love anything he does
IMHO-this is one of the best versions I have ever heard. Wow! Just sayin'
Very nice funky rock tune that moves me on a Sunday morning rise😎
Absolutely killer performance!!!!!!
LOVE song-this rocker version amazing. The old funky bluesy ensemble with WC Clark in Austin 1990 is also knockout
Love this version, take me, take me, take me :-)

Foghat tears this song UP!
Warren said...Here’s your shot...Nope you missed it...I got it...Lol great shit!!
Excellent!

If you prefer this with a bit more energy, I highly recommend 1.25 speed
Great idea! Thanks
I think Warren smells something bad, that or he was replaced by the grumpy cat.
All the love he’s incredible
Solid
Damn
Olala brilliant
😍
Eye contact...it matters! LOL
I had to change playback speed to 1.25x. I think it was better.
Annie Lenox version is extremely good - imho js ~~ not that this is bad; it’s definitely worth the listen -
Annie Lenox rocks and they're all diamonds
Lennox does The version of Whiter Shade of Pale .
💘
prefer the Foghat version but this is good
Foghat??? the 70's band????

You'll be glad you listened .
OFF. THE. HOOK!!
2/2/21. No soap *** GOOD
Neat-o
what happened to the end of this post!?
Oh Ya..............................................
Truly great try rick braun
Bass player floating in a different river
The Foghat, upbeat version is tons better
A lazy cover of a TH cover that got the original timing wrong. Dropped the two most important beats. Butt rock.

This goes much too slow.
Music's good, vocals suck
weak, weak bass playing---uninspired drumming-- sounds like amateur hour
I actually agree....bass player sorta sucks, and this is a one-dimensional cover of a really good song....
You got no idea comments suck !
This is not good or a competent cover
