Hi Andy, do you know which metals are responsible for the blue color? Perhaps cobalt? If so, would you happen to know how these metals and chemicals have been rendered insoluble, since soluble materials are usually toxic to handle (since the employees are not wearing respiratory equipment)? It is very fascinating to see the process. Thanks for the great video

Looks like phthalocyanine, which is non-toxic

Its based on copper metal. Chlorination of copper in to the cupric chloride. Turning in to pthalo cynaine. Purify it with sulfuric acid to get pigment blue 15:1,
