Very useful video but it would be really useful to have a title on screen or chapter markers to show which card you’re currently talking about as it’s easy to lose track!
The Barclaycars Avios (free card) currently has double the bonus welcome points 10k instead of the 5k, I currently have a AMEX Platinum everyday £0 fee one, thinking of getting this avios as my second credit card with that bonus points included what do you recommend?
What about UPhold for every day spending?
Am I allowed to get the Amex platinum with all the perks for a year and then cancel and get the gold Amex before the platinum fee kicks in??
Hi Andy . Do you have any info on Nat West reward cards?
Hmmm stilll unsure if rewards one or cash back one… help
What about post office credit card ? Can you please speak about it in a video ?
If I have added my wife as a supplementary card holder to my amex nectar, can I still invite her to the normal amex platinum and get the refer a friend?
Thank you for your previous videos about bank switches. I used them all and made over £3k.
How did you manage that? Is that from switching your bank account multiple times?
@@adamfergusson1 yes and I also was switching my parents banks accounts and they agreed on that to give me the bonuses so I can put it towards house deposit. It’s actually over £5k as I’m still doing them
Having a Barclays account and wanting a credit card for renting a car, which Barclays credit card would be the best for me?
Which one is better for rewards/cashback? Barclaycard rewards credit card or avios credit card???
Does AmEx have a 0% introduction on purchases?
12:21 I think the Asda Card is a Visa Credit Card not a Mastercard. Great video as always Andy!
True. Mine is a Visa card.
The Barclaycard Rewards Card is the best all rounder for a more permanent usage pattern. It has no cash withdrawal fees, no FTF, no AF, and to top it all, no interest on cash withdrawal in UK and abroad if balance is paid in full by the upcoming due date. Had an eye on this one for years. It was hard getting approved for this card as I was new to UK, but a 4 year wait paid off and finally got it with a very healthy credit limit as well.
Don’t withdraw cash using a credit card. It will affect your credit score in a negative way.
Does anyone know whether a max offer savings or ISA in the uk and if they do what are the rates.
Skipton 4% locked rate for 2 years ISA
With ASDA credit card you get 1% Cashback at ASDA and 0.3% used else where if I'm not mistaken.
My question is if i used the ASDA card with Curve, would it recognise the spend as an ASDA purchase or a Curve purchase, thereby not Qualifying for 1% Cashback.
No, it won’t recognise it as Asda
@@BeCleverWithYourCash Thanks Andy.
Great video, Andy! What would you recommend if I'm looking for a card for airport lounge access?
Amex gold or Amex platinum
@@rs4dummies apart from these two...
Revulot
What's your view on Virgin Atlantic cards?
Yeah are they good cards
The first 8 minutes and 22 seconds about AMEX?!
So whats the best one and what does it offer?
Yes
we are rewarding all credit card users!
Actually most credit card users get either debt or start spending more than they would otherwise which makes the tiny rewards useless so tbh if ur not using credit card you are saving yourself :D
@jhamura absolute farce, learn more about credit cards. You have to learn the rules of using a credit card. The reason that happens is because those people either don't follow the rules, eg only utilise 25%-30% of the credit limit, ALWAYS pay on time IN FULL, the simple rules OR that theyre in a do or die emergency so have to spend on the credit card to survive. Learn how to use a credit card properly and it only brings benefits.
Doesn't it negatively impact your credit score if you leave Amex to avoid the annual fee in year 2?
Yes
I wonder why Andy doesn’t mention Plutus. Yes, it’s a faf to convert PLU to £, but 3% is 3%. I’m self-employed and get 3% back on my tax bill with it.
It's not really everyday people who will use plutus. I have purely for the sub rebate but I still have no idea how to withdraw my PLU as unlike CRO it's just not straightforward enough
HI Andy, if I close my Amex gold (as I don't want to pay the fee for next year) will this downgrade my credit rating?
I think if you have paid your debts in full, you should be able to close the account without any problems. You can also switch to a different Amex card so you don’t have to pay the annual fee.
If you have had it for longest then it might or if you have some other credit on your history longer like some other card then itll only affect little
Just buy GOLD
