As a Surface pro 8 user there something I've noticed about the fan. Most of the time when the fan kicks in without reason it's because of graphic processing. Lower your monitors refresh rate can help sometime.

Surface Pro's are decent to say the least. I have the 7 Pro Plus(I still don't know what makes it Plus). Works great for my Journalism purposes but sometimes decides to go insane...
The biggest reason I got rid of my Microsoft Pro 7 years ago was the fan noise. Now I’m full immersed in the apple ecosystem and I can’t see myself leaving

Man, the two things I really want in a 2-in-1 is that it can run full featured Office (for work when I don’t want to use my work computer) and one game…Age of Empires. Surface Pro seems the obvious answer but that fan noise 😫 especially when I’d sell my M1 iPad Pro to switch. Maybe there will be something interesting coming out of the Microsoft event next month.
Too bad the ARM version of the Surface Pro is limited by software support

Apple has its issues nut the one thing they really did amazingly is the ARM chips. They blow intel amd out of the water with like no power draw. I don’t think I’m buying a new laptop until windows and arm

I know that the Surface Pro 9 supports 120Hz, but does it also support 120fps when playing games via remote play?
No. I haven't benchmarked the FPS, but just by looking at it, it is not above 60. Perhaps, if I had better bandwidth at home and studio, that might result in something higher.

...headphone jack on the top? Brings back memories. I used to argue with people about how the headphone jack should always be on the bottom, no exceptions. If you are holding your phone, its one motion without adjusting to put your phone top-down into my front pocket. If the headphone jack was on the top, I would have to adjust my hand and turn the phone the other direction to then place in my pocket, which increases the odd (%) of the user dropping the phone. I would argue that its bad argo design.
The fan noise - that’s exactly I can no longer be with Windows
It's not a Windows issue as much as it is a processor bottleneck. I'm sure the arm version of the Surface is miles better in both performance and battery life, yet it's sad that, support-wise it is not there yet.

I can't believe you recommend the ARM version of the tablet. You can't even do anything with it. The performance is horrible,
I said perhaps look into it - for that exact reason. That's why I didn't purchase the ATM
@@ThisIsE You can try the ARM version out and return it to see how horrible it is compare to the intel version. Running ARM defeat the purpose of having an x86 tablet. MS translation layer is not as good as Apple's, so things aren't as usable as it should be.
