increase in price is not just your speculation, oneplus' CEO said this in an interview that IP rating would cause a $30 increase in price of the phone and its not worth it as you are getting protection from water any ways. Just a certificate for $30 is not worth it.
Been reading up on it and finally bought it. My first smart phone. Been holding out all this time and drudge along with an Alcatel Flip phone with Tmobile. It's a very good phone for the price. I'll hang on to it and wait to see what new, cool feature OnePlus can bring next.
the secondary camera makes the 8X zoom possible. It is also (like you have two eyes) meant to see depth, software will compare the image of the two camera's so it sees the depth and in portrait mode it'll make things that are further away a blurry goodness while your subject will stay crisp
Going from night mode on the OnePlus 6 to the iPhone 11 was such a huge difference when I upgraded! Photos on the iPhone are often times actually good enough to use, making it the first smartphone camera I have ever owned that actually allows me to shoot at night and get good photos. Really surprised me that that was the camera feature that excited me most.
2:22 mark. Not so much speculation as much as it is a lack of research of work product. OnePlus has said an IP rating would drive up the cost of the phone about 30 bucks. Ever tried the Google machine? Here ya go. "As for the IP rating, the OnePlus 6T will be more water resistant than the OnePlus 6 but the cost involved with gaining an IP rating is prohibitive. For OnePlus to undergo that certification for the very very few users who “go swimming” with their phone would make the phone approximately US$30 more, something they were not willing to do." So speculate no more. Bing is your buddy and Google is your friend. :)
I don't know why no one is talking about how unlocking this phone with finger print is a 2 step process now. You wake up ur phone screen with either the power button or tap on the screen, then press the UD finger print which may take a few trys if ur not lucky. All the videos I have watched so far has some issues with it. Basically making the unlocking process a LOT slower than ever. Side note, removing the 3.5mm jack is a super dick move that no one asked for. Thanks for listening to your fans, OP.
If you don't like the finger print reader use the face recognition. As for the 3.5mm jack, do you REALLY know what ALL their fans said? Just because you didn't want it removed doesn't mean that the majority of the people they polled don't as well. A bit self centered, huh?
And hence added a otg cable. Most of us use a Wireless headphones these days. So that isn't noticeable. When Apple does it, they praise. And when any other manufacturers comes up with new ideas they criticize. Plus no one is forcing anyone to buy it.
You have to question any multi lens camera setup when comparing to the pixel 3. We've probably reached the physical capabilities of smartphone cameras, so to sell more units manufactureers now have to create artificial 'innovation'. Honestly I've never seen the point of multiple cameras, but as reviewers talk about it and consumers demand it, Oneplus probably had to comply. Would have loved to see them go with a solid one lens camera like the pixel and invest money elsewhere...
Huawei has been doing this multicam since p9 and bokeh thing too. Here depth camera for one plus - feels like wasted effort, pixel3 and Xr are doing bokeh with one lens. However, huawei mate 20 with ultrawide all the way to 5x- I'm guessing is about 120mm is something pixel3 would have a hard time interpolating to with high res zoom. Huawei seems ahead now, they had long exposure since early this year, 5x zoom with ai stabilization and interpolation seems exactly like what pixel3 is doing with super res zoom, pixel better software so night sight and super res zoom probably better than Huawei software, but pixel is cheap so no extra lens for you. So no 5x like Huawei quality. Huawei jut schooled LG for 0.6x ultrawide with autofocus to 5x. Wonder why they don't call it 16-120mm? Sounds more pro right. Ok one extra for pixel3 for selfie. Because they wanted to do 3d face unlock too without fancy ir projector thing, but maybe couldn't get it to work right just yet. Took nexus awhile to get fingerprint sensor, now waiting for it to catch up to huawei.
Most of the reason why the Pixel's photos are so good is because of the software, not the hardware. The 6T's second camera is probably useless, but multiple cameras on a phone can actually be quite good. Different focal lengths are always nice to have and are useful.

Finger print animations are not to distract you from noticing the slowness of the sensor. This type of sensor uses light to read your finger print I believe? That's why that have to pack that animation as bright as the screen can go as to read your finger. I think.

Ultrasonic under display finger print readers are faster than optical ones. Synaptic and Samsung are working on their own versions that will be better and faster. Oneplus 7 will likely have this issue improved along with the missing LED notification light.

They started with never settle, but now by removing the headphone jack, feels like they are chasing flagships. And also doing glass back now when users prefer metal unless they do wireless charging. Great oxygen OS and the fse team is doing great in shaving frames to make it feel fast and smooth. Also fast android updates. However it is an S phone right, like a pixel3, in less than a year too, and people are so happy with these T phones. I think their strategy is quite sound, release 2 phones every year, increase the price bit by bit, hopefully no one will notice. It’s still using Sd845 when the next wave of phones will have k980,sd8150,e9820,a12x soon enough, and the QC Boss can still say sd845 is the fastest and leading mobile chip, huh?! Does 7nm kirin 980 not exist, or not US bound so not counted, or 7nm A12, again not android so not counted. Huawei 40w also faster right, or the parent company super vooc 50w, and in screen fingerprint sensor has already been done and you still call it first, vivo has it, huawei has a 2nd gen already, and yours still feels slow to these reviewers?! Feels like a compromise. Still no wireless charging, useless second depth camera, so now just a very basic and amazing phone with some features missing now, maybe a nicer version of a pocofone with nfc and widevine L3 and also an unreasonable glass back. Also no stereo speakers. It's like they are saying - I’m sorry users, we wanted to save some money and borrow the R19 shell, so there you go. Never settle? - not so much.
I still love the phone. Really good phone for the money. Just that while watching the presentation. They come off more pretentious now. Not never settle. More like look we are almost like the big boys, glass back, no headphones, price bump albeit some compromise, more so now with the headphone jack gone. So settle much.
I totally agree with your view except for the SD845, they don't choose when qualcomm releases a new SoC, and it will probably happen in february like last year. Also they have no other choice but qualcomm, because Apple, Huawei and Samsung don't sell their processors to other brands, and Mediatek doesn't do high-end SoCs. T models have been for the last 2 years only refinements of the previous model, so it's not a big surprise.

Bob Dylan my input is going to be lousy, but I’ll go with it. If you want a better camera p20. If you want faster performance than op6t or even op6. Both don’t have wireless charging or ip rating. If you want even more speed, wireless charging, more useful second and third camera, mate20.
The only differences is Small notch but still there so you will turn it off when watching videos, in glass fingerprint reader(but slower) and bigger battery because of removal of headphone jack
At the end of the day it’s a rebranded Oppo R17 (Pro) with better specs and OS. OnePlus just share it’s cost cutting designs with it’s sister companies - Oppo and Vivo. Hope they would come up with their own unique designs to justify their increasing price tag.
@6:00 the graphic is meant to say 3700mAh for the Oneplus 6T (otherwise the endurance hours and ratios are correct).

SOO which 1 is better? Oneplus 6 OR! Oneplus 6T? I'm gonna buy 1 of this 2 phones but i don't know which 1 HELP! (Ofc i want headphone jack but if oneplus 6T is better than the previews i can also use bluetooth🤷♂️) i need it for gaming🤔
Thanks so much for your review. I maybe getting one. 😀
It is important to highlight that OnePlus 6T does not have the IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 mins)
4:49 which game is this? TIA Cheers
One plus six t is 550 euro I can get the p20 pro for 600 in my country which should I get?
Hope they would come up with their own unique designs to justify their increasing price tag.
what's the name of game she,s playing?
👎🏾For the 3.5 mm jack removal...
Love ur vedios,Angie ✌🏼
Lima Imchen never settle
OnePlus said they removed the headphone jack because they don't have place for the ud finger print and for the big battery

@@shrishmallik5323 doesn't have underscreen sensor.
@@shrishmallik5323 there was no room for a jack. Go watch jerryrigeverything's teardown of the 6t. It was used up.
