How to Whip Finish your Fly - Beginners Guide to Fly Tying - McFly Angler

A Whip finish tool is an essential tool for the fly tier. Granted you can whip finish by hand, but lets be honest the tool makes it much much easier. There are a few different types of whip finishers, however the two main types are the Matarelli style and Thompson style. I personally use the Matarelli style exclusively, but I know many people who swear by the Thompson as well. In this video, I show how to whip finish with the Matarelli and also by the hand.
