The fridge looks fine and I think more retro with the two toned coloring. The white also ties in the white handles nicely. Personally I think it’s great. The accessories are super cute though.

Exactly. Having the whole thing be mint would be too much. The side meshes well with the white walls and counter. Less is more. Kitchen on the whole is base color white, supporting colors black and chrome, and accent/pop colors pink and mint. Accent colors can be overdone easily!
If you're gonna keep the microwave in that spot maybe paint it mint or get a mint one if you were gonna replace it and it'll draw the eye away from the white side of the fridge and instead to the matching mint microwave
It looks awesome 2 toned. You could always use frame stencils for the photos in mint paint to pull the two colors together. I liked another comment that suggested painting the microwave mint too.
I actually really like the way it looks with the side white and the handles. And the magnets definitely pull it all together. This is sooo stinkin cute!!!! 😍

It's fine. Do what ya want. The fridge is NOT hard to pull out though. A lot a ppl seem to think they're too heavy to move, but they slide away from the wall very easily. Long as your not movin it from the kitchen to your yard, you shouldn't have an issue at ALL. Lol.

Yep! I always thought i couldn't slide out a fridge until i actually tried! Easy! Without a solid gripping stance and without *any* upper body strength to speak of.
A fridge might not be the hardest thing to move, to you, but keep in mind the floor can be gouged from it too. It's not just pull it out and push it back and be done. Tell me you never had a mishap without telling me lol
And she can still paint the places people see on the side, masking tape and maybe some cardboard and all would be fine, if she thinks she'll never be able to move it on her own it probably won't get moved hardly ever and the next time she does move it she can just paint the rest 🤷
The fridge moves, it's not bolted, you just have to pull it away from the wall, you don't have to unplug it either, just need enough length to reach the area that is visible! This is cool! I've never seen you before

I've moved our double sided fridge/freezer MANY times, getting my cat's fav toys out from behind it. Between you and a friend, you can easily wiggle it out for paint.
Most refrigerators and stoves have rollers. You can wiggle the refrigerator and pull it out. That way, you can clean underneath and behind it. I didn't realize so many people NEVER move their refrigerator or stove.
Surprisingly very easy to move! Hope she gives it a try even if she doesn't decide to paint the side. I told my niece to try moving hers, she not only cleaned back there she found a huge stash of cat toys! Takes very little force and not much strength just a little leverage to get wheels started. Maybe open door to help u pull forward gently. Next up how to fix your dish disposal (look for the hex wrench that came with it, stick in bottom (Google that), give it a spin, press the red button and voila!).
Also good for her to know that the fridge is plugged in behind but the cord is long enough so the fridge can be fully pulled out but will stay plugged in. So she can pull it out and paint the side while keeping it on and cold. Also if there is any water line such as for an ice maker that will be long enough to pull fridge out from the wall as well, just peek behind fridge once you have it moving to check on those and see what's up back there. Good to start to know how your house works!
No matter what, fridges have a vent at the back bottom that need to be cleaned at least yearly to ensure they're longer lasting. Get some of those sliding pad things so you can do that, and have a friend help you wiggle it out that first time. Or rent a dolly

I actually love it with just the mint front 😭 And I hate the color mint! But it fits so well with the pink, black, and white! I think the white tiles help tie the front together and honestly the magnets really do make it look even better.

It's really cute. You could look for some more mint accessories in some cute like kitchen tool shapes like spoons and forks with mint colored handles ect. I think could tie it in together well. 😊 It's cute already though.

Personally i think chrome handles on that fridge would look bad. I think it would be better to paint the dishwasher. 3 colors on one fridge is too much. However the mint door with white sides and white handles is cute. Very retro. But the chrome stands out like a sore thumb with the mint and pink.
@lavenderoh lol I've lived in the now retro Era. I known the style. And mixing three colors on one piece wasnt it. Yes there was a lot of chrome accents. But thats about as far as it went and it wasn't usually mixed with several colors. And it also wasn't actually chrome. It was silver.
Hey 👋🏻 your kitchen is beautiful! I show model apartment for a living and most fridges these days are designed to be moved/ pulled out for easy cleaning behind and underneath. Moving the fridge and cleaning behind it is part of the move/out checklist where I work. I’m not sure about your fridge in particular, yours might be too heavy or might not be designed the way our appliances are but if you haven’t already try to give it a tug. Just pull straight back don’t twist to the side, if nothing happens nbd, but if it can be moved then a few new options are available to you. You’re doing great 👍🏻 I’m a first time viewer and your channel is awesome!
I realllly think the blue on the sides would bring the look together!! Try to purchase a “tight space painter” their is a long one which will help you paint it
Remember that not only is the fridge on rollers is also hollow and much lighter than it appears. Even a large one rarely weighs more than 150 and that's pretty easy to roll.
Did she say hers is on rollers? Because not every refrigerator is on rollers. And according to google, the average weight of refrigerators is 100-400 lbs. Some can be even heavier. I checked because I know mine is much heavier than 150 lbs.
*SUGGESTION* I just found out that in hardware stores there’s a paint brush device that you can use to paint hard to reach surfaces. Like behind a toilet 🚽 where the tank is like 1 inch from the wall. That might work for this, just an idea! Just looked it up, it’s called “paint behind tool” lol💀 bc ofc it is.
I got fridges are heavy but regardless of painting, most fridges, even new ones need cleaning and servicing to run well which requires pulling them out. ..

You can pull the fridge forward. Almost all fridge have wheels. If its too heavy, remove food items so it's lighter.
