I just realised that in episode 1 they just escape from naboo, their hyperdrive breaks, they get a new one in tatooine just to directly fly back to naboo.
Lmfaoo yes if you play the game without context thats just basically what it is

Nice to see this game is still getting some love from modders. This is hands-down my favorite LEGO game.

Mine too. Back here after Skywalker Saga. It's a beautiful game, the combat is cool, the free roam of the big world is awesome but the episodes are so rushed and it lacks atmosphere. The complete saga will remain the best game

Honestly I think this game is kinda overrated, it's aged the worst out of all the LEGO games IMO. These mods do make it considerably better though. For me, LEGO Indiana Jones: the original adventures is the easily best LEGO game, no contest. It really deserves more love, I played that game religiously as a kid and it was SO much better than the complete saga.

I love how when you play through the game, you can see when the production quality went up.
For example, in the Darth Maul level, you can see that the fight's cutscenes were a bit janky and stiff, but once you get to "Count Dooku", and especially "Darth Vader", you can tell that they had improved a lot with the animations. It's as if Episode 1 was the pitch, and when the full project was approved, they had a bigger budget.
They were 2 seperate games. Lego Star Wats 1 was Episode 1 2 & 3 while Lego Star Wars 2 was the rest. The Complete Saga combined the two games and refined some of it so in reality this is 2 games in 1

Not only that, but it looks like there were two different cutscenes from 6:05 to 6:52. At 6:25, the lighting and textures in the room change significantly for no reason.
The opening cutscene of Darth Maul was actually a later version. The closing cutscene was completed in 2003 so... Yea.

I love how in the original trilogy portion of the game, the Princess Leia model looks more like a legoized Carrie Fischer.
It's strange how much more emotion they have compared to the vanilla version.

The game felt just as awesome as this when it came out.
Seeing the original again after a decade… it looks somewhat off.

I’ll never understand how it’s possible to mod games. I didn’t even realize it was a mod, until I saw the comment section. I thought I missed out on a version of the game, because it doesn’t feel modern like the new one. Not to the same extent, but it does seem more modern than the original Complete Saga.

Recently found videos claiming Lego Star Wars The Video Game, II: The Original Trilogy, and The Complete Saga were not as great. Sure, the games have their flaws, but I would never say they are mediocre. The thing that makes them fun every time you play it is the combination aspect. Lego mini figures retelling the epic Star Wars story, through timeless humor and simple but addictive gameplay. The limitless possibilities and the challenge of beating it 100% keeps bringing me back to play it. They're consistently enjoyable which is why they're my all time favorite video games.

Maybe or maybe not we might get it I hope we get some more Lego Disney games though since we got the Skywalker Saga and Lego Incredibles.

Personally I've always preferred the slapstick no talk humor of the older lego games. They need to be creative in order to get close to the source material.

If I recall correctly, it was in the original version of the Original Trilogy game, but was taken out in The Complete Saga. Probably for pacing?

Honestly I liked the cutscenes more in this game than in Lego Star Wars the skywalker saga they felt more accurate and mature.
which is not what lego games are meant to be. they're usually 6+ for a reason
I like the Skywalker saga to just for how gorgeous the game looks from Episode 1 to 9

They actually show qui-gon getting stabbed in the chest and show his death unlike modern lego games were they dont show someone getting stabbed or something like that besides in this game its not even that bad its not like qui-gon spills blood after getting stabbed he is just torn in half a little bit

I think I could accept this version of the Jedi heroes, including Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku (Jedi Master), and the other Jedi who weren't in the game.

One of these days, they need to actually remaster this game. Keep all of the original gameplay and stuff but give a fresh coat of paint. Idk maybe even add voice lines. Idk if that would take away from the original charm or actually be good for it.
And make Jabba the Hutt playabale.
The reskins are so subtle it kinda sucks, but can't blame the modders, they used the tools at hand.
