21 years. That’s only a year less than the age of these twins. 😁 I really like this one, and these boys are really talented. They are originally from Norway and won junior MGP at age 10.
They became more famous in Sweden after being on Masked Singer Sweden as Spelmannen (and won). Before that most of us saw them as little kids that did music for kids, we kind of didn't realize that they had grown up and could sing really, really well. If you can you should look at some clips from their time on Masked Singer. It's really good!
Perfect package with staging and charisma. A song you just want to get up and dance to. Just hope with it performing first in the final, it does not become unforgettable.
Proud Swede here....we love Marcus and Martinus. We stick together us brothers and sisters of the north ❤❤❤ (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland)
@@Tom_OB your comment is so boring, generic and lame, you could be more intelligent and tell me why you think this. normally if I don't like a song I first say what I like about it them what I don't like. I get the feeling your favourite song will be in my bottom 5.🤣😆
I really love this song and performance, they are amazing!!! They have been famous for more then half their lifes as they got famous at just 10 when they won MGP jr and now is 22 years old
Marcus & Martinus were the runner-ups of Melodifestivalen last year, beaten only by Loreen. When OGAE (the international Eurovision fan clubs) selected their winner among the national finals, in their second chance contest, they won. Perhaps you can react to that one too? "Marcus & Martinus - Air" There is the Melodifestivalen performance, but also a acustic version. Both well worth checking out. They also won Sweden's Masked Singer last year. They've written the song together with Linnea Deb and Joy Deb (who has co-written songs like Måns Zelmerlöw's Eurovision winning song "Heroes" in 2015, as well as 5 other Eurovision entries) and Jimmy Joker who co-wrote Loreen's "Tattoo" last year, as well as 5 other Eurovision entries.
It’s funny that you should say about Darren Hayes as I was reminded of him in both this and Olly’s song along with the Pet Shop Boys 👍🏼 and I have always loved Darren ❤️ this song has grown on me the more I’ve heard it 😊
Sweden pull it off this time. I'm not a Loreen/Tattoo fan at all. But this hits the spot. A great live performance, staging, costumes great but I want something brighter, choreo and they are gorgeous. I will play this on my radio programme for sure. A stand alone hit. Will it win? Depends if public want more ballad or pop beat. Super tough to choose.
We are very proud of our Norwegian twins: Marcus and Martinus!! ❤❤ Not just "GÅTE"!! ❤❤❤ May the best of the two Norwegian teams winn!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Vote, vote, vote, vote!!!😂😂😂😂😂
Go Marcus &Martinus 🎉❤ Yes they are Norwegians , performing for Sweden this year 🫶🇸🇯🇸🇪 Air, last year , was my favorite ( before Loreen 🫶) heia heia 🎤🎉
That rhythmic melody which plays throughout is almost a direct copy of Salva Mea by Faithless. If you look up Faithless - Salva Mea (Live At Alexandra Palace 2005) and play it from 2 mins 55 secs in, you'll be able to tell what I mean. It's not EXACTLY the same but it's definitely very close. Inspiration or plagiarism? You decide. I still quite like it, though :D Not as much as Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia and Austria but it is kinda catchy.
In my top 10 too, love it! It is getting so much undeserved hate, this song will definitely do very well with the juries and probably better in the televote than people think
Yes, their song is great, they have great voices, they dance great, the song is very memorable and you want to dance to it, but unfortunately because they represent Sweden and they are Norwegians, plus you know how it is with liking and not liking Sweden, it's because of this they get a lot of hate and are very underrated
I like it because it’s actually really well done while still being camp. A bit of fun without being a joke entry. Gives a bit of early 00s and late 90s boy band feel especially with the bridge, with staging that reminds me of the marrix. great staging, solid vocals, good choreo, a bit of over the top Eurovision stage costumes. All while having two identical twins doing it. I don’t think it’s gonna win. Some other year it might have done too 5. But especially as hosting countries often seem to have a bit of a disadvantage in voting, I would guess maybe top 10. But overall I think a fun yet well done entry. Happy to see it be in the mix of this years entries.
Now that you mention it Georgina, it reminds me of Darren Hayes too. I hope Darren Hayes watches this Swedish entry and decides to represent Australia in Eurovision next year, as he is super talented.
Tremendous song, performance, chore and staging - should have done better in the voting. It probably didn't help that they were following Loreen the previous year, people probably wanted someone other than Sweden to win.
Thank you for liking our song! I don’t know if you can wright suggestions here, but I think you would like Vanessa Amorosi at the Sydney 2000 Olympics!
I suggest you do an reaction on the Swedish singer Peter Jöback in the song guldet blev till sand. There are a video from a concert in Minnesota with subtitles. Its the best version of the song
It sounds like a 90s boyband song and looks like that aswell. I don't see them being in the top ten by so many strong entries this year. since some countries trade points and some of the jury might be all for a 90s like song, they might surprise us by getting many points though.
I don´t like native language in non-english songs. The reason is that I want to understand the lyrics as I believe a song is meaningless if You don´t understand the lyrics. Lyrics is important and should be meaningful in some way that fits both the vocalists as well as the tune. A good example of fitting lyrics is Sweden´s "Unforgettable" as it´s lyrics is sung by two boyish 22 year old men dancing in sort of a "nightclub" singing about dangerously hot girls, unforgettable girls. Something I remember from my own youth well spent in the discos where I once fell in true love with a girl at first sight only to later found out that she was a high-end escort working nightclubs and 5 star hotels ....but indeed she was so beautiful and charismatic that she was unforgettable ....Unforgettable´s lyrics should imo be given high points for the lyrics, high points for the vocals and high points for the staging . It´s a work of art and may for that reason win the juries vote.
Their Live performance in London didn't exactly sound like this. No, it was not off key and it still was a nice performance and the same very catchy song, but they both sounded rather squeezed, like going trough puberty. It doesn't matter: it's a boy band, and the song is now one of my guilty pleasures ...
Its a shame for them that they're starting the finale.. Dont think it will benefit them at all.. Plus dont like that abrupt ending when you think its a build up to something more.. But it makes the song a bit different, I guess.. Like the dance beat though and the staging.
Honestly, this one is quite overrated for me. Lyrics aren't anything special, i guess the instrumental is cool, the staging is the only thing I REALLY like. Could Sweden let go of the commercial pop for just 1 year, and send something in Swedish? Like, Swedish rock or something? Genuinely, my least faveroite country in Eurovision. I need more country presentation in Eurovision.
uh are you ever going to do Mariah again ever i don't know half of these people that you post nor do I consider them singers don't know what you're doing if I had a good scheme that was going to be a lot of views I would stick with it so why you're not doing that it's very interesting
I love the song, but it's not really in my top 15 even since there are a lot of good songs this year. Expecting them to be at the bottom maybe, but the jury might love it
" but the jury might love it" I would be very surprised if the juries did not give it high points. Vocals, stage performance, staging, music, lyrics all good. It´s a work of art !
I'm afraid I can't get on board with this song - I just find it so bland. It'll probably be well-received by the juries but wouldn't surprise me if it underperforms in the televote. I can't help but think that if any country sent a song like this it would be universally written off as an NQ.

Not sure why this isn’t getting more attention. Stunning vocals stunning staging
It's just not memorable enough as a song. And only the staging carries it
Yeah, I agree, it's nothing you've never heard before. Basic relationship drama stuff.
