Ultra-slick dance-pop that gets under your skin SO FAST - my favourite opening entry in all the years I've been watching, I can't really see this missing the top 10
8:52 Fredrik Stormby is the Swedish light technican, programmer and production designer responsible for the background. He did the lights for Loreen in 2024, and has worked with Eurovision Song Contest the years Sweden's been hosting 2013 and 2016 (and will be in 2024 as well). He's also worked with ABBA Voyage and Beyoncés Renaissance Tour.
Marcus and Martinus they’re 22 years old and their started their career after winning mgpj junior 2012 at 10 years old it’s like a Eurovision for kids now they have over 100+ million views on yt you and they have participated in Jason derulo concerts you should check them
I would die of sheer swooning overload with Mans...I mean after he showed up on stage COMPLETELY NAKED (save a wolf plushie in front of hits bits) while hosting in 2016, we saw that he is basically a specimen of perfection. Now he's married and a daddy of two, which adds in that lovable quality on top.
Hey from Sweden, as you can see we are a pop country, Marcus and Martinus are twins from Norway actually they compete for Sweden because they are very big here. We in Sweden love the competition and take the competition very seriously. But we have a lot of good songwriters and artists and we have an eye for good music/pop music. That's why I think we're so talented when it comes to music. haha lots of love from Sweden
Absolutely, the water is goooood in Sweden (I also mean that literally, I was just there, it's so clean 😍). And your national selection is the prototype for how to pick an entry - I wish the UK took notes! Greetings from London 👋🏼
6:46 2016 Stephen Colbert Nornas ESC Parodie Vibes here ("Sho sho la la baby..") - So random yet it popped into my head and guess what? The last year we were in Sweden with ESC ^^
I think the lack of a build up, key change and other traditional song structures benefits the song. The things you think will happen don¨t happen at all, making it less predictable. Loreen as great as she was still had a very predictable structure, you could guess everything that would come next. But not so much here. I love how it just ends abruptly with no build up
I mean, I don't think it hurts it necessarily. But I think the absences of these things lowers the potential from winner status. The last section is the highlight for sure.
Sweden have obviously given them attention though! 👏🏼👏🏼🎶🇸🇪🇳🇴😘 The song and they are a perfect combination. This will be a great opening number in the ESC Final! 🎶🤗🔥
I agree with basically everything you said.. The last bit makes the song more exciting and then it just ends.. Like what, why?? LOL On the other hand, I like that its different in that way, but I was waiting for something more when I heard it the first time.. And I hate saying this cause it shouldnt matter at all, but them starting the finale.. Dont think that will benefit them. But thats only my thought...
Yes, the final section is the most exciting, unsure if it's too late by that point! I thought the same, but apparently, votes are open from the start? I'm unsure if that will benefit them or not.
@@JarydReactsyeah the votes are open from the beginning so some fans will probably vote for them right away… But expect, of course that most people will wait till the end and by then I think their number will be a bit forgotten. There is a reason why all the contenders are happy with drawing the 2nd half of the competition 😉😊 but we’ll see!
Ooo love this! 😆 Only entries I can remember: 🇦🇿 2023, 🇳🇱 2017, 🇫🇷 2014, 🇷🇺 2014, 🇮🇪 2011&2012, 🇸🇰 2011, 🇧🇾 2010, 🇲🇰 2009 I'm sure there were more before 2008!
@@JarydReacts Tu es sûr pour 2010 et 2009 ? 🇨🇵 2014, they were called twin twin but they were not (and finished last). Luxembourg, Slovakia and Russia sent twin sisters, Ireland and Sweden twin brothers. I have 5.
Yes, just double checked: 🇫🇷 2014, "Twin Twin" had identical twin brothers Lorent Idir Ardouvin and François Djemel Ardouvin (they don't use their surname Ardouvin when performing) 🇧🇾 2010, "3+2" had twin sisters Alena and Ninel Karpovich 🇲🇰 2009, "Next Time" had twin brothers Martin and Stefan Filipovski Including this year, I've got 9 😃
Jacquline got sick during the finals right after winning her heat, sad that she coud not be her best at that moment and also it deserved better support, don't know what happened.
I'm Swedish, and this was not my first alternative. I like dance music (love Lost Frequencies!), but this felt dated, and their singing/melody was kind of whiny. Besides, when they intensely stare into the camera with serious faces, I can hardly contain my laughter. So dramatic! 😂 Like the staging and the beat, though. We have a huge problem in Sweden, and that is that SVT employs the same little clique of composers year after year. It's getting ridiculous.
They can make great music I guess but to have the same people write almost every song every year should be against the rules!! Joker and G:on should take a looooong break from Mello.
Sorry you're not a fan! I can seriously relate to that feeling, the UK sends some absolute 🗑 sometimes. Our problem is that we occasionally hold a one hour "special" when we nationally select and it's 45 minutes of ABBA tributes, 15 minutes of weak entries.

Agreed, jury and televote friendly, can be enjoyed anywhere and everywhere, top 10 worthy

Marcus and Martinus Unforgettable song is my third best song and my top 3 1-Austria 2-Netherlands 3-Sweden
Good choices there!

I agree regarding the mountain allegory.
I'm glad it made sense, sometimes I just go off and begin rambling! 😅

Ireland had their last Eurovision Song Contest win 28 years ago. 1996
Yes, their 7th win. The most successful country in Eurovision until last year, now tied with Sweden 😁
Norwegian boys!😉❤
Marcus and Martinus are from Norway and they grow up there, but Sweden get all the Attention😢
They should enter for Norway! 🇳🇴

Fun question, I enjoyed that!
Still remember your reaction for Tattoo last year!!!. If you plan to come to Spain hit me up ;-)😈😍
Feels like a million years ago!
Nice song but the song I can't stop listening to is "Effortless" by Jacqlin.
Jacquline got sick during the finals right after winning her heat, sad that she coud not be her best at that moment and also it deserved better support, don't know what happened.
You should also react to Circus X by Scarlet from mello! I think you would love the drop they have ;)
Hahaha the magic word
Letting a couple of Norwegian twins represent Sweden 🇸🇪 is a bit ironic since Swedes and Norwegians have a love/hate relationship with each other!😊
Let's hope they choose love this year! 😁
@@JarydReacts well , we like to pull each other’s leg but if a threat is presented to either one, we will always UNITE!!

Too bad..☺️
This is good, but boreing...🙈
It's generic pop, but we do love that in Eurovision!
You forgot to mention that the boys are norwegian… ,p
