Standard HP on a '15 Passat is 170... Bumping that to 230+ does make it fast-ish. At least the look I get from the Audi A4 drivers when I smoke them tells me it's fast... ;-) It's a big car and no one expects it to get to 60 MPH in 6 secs. That's the joy of modding your V-Dub and creating a real sleeper car. Nice work on yours!
I have an apr tune.stock intake '17 passat 1.8t. I wanna go down the rabbit hole more than just a tune and downpipe. But I'm pretty sure I'm in the 225-230 hp. I know the look you're talking about and it's great
Great build so far dude. I have 2017 R line with several mods and APR tune. It’s a fun daily car and pulls hard. I have popping now when I make hard turns after I installed coilovers.
hey man, how you doing, so I wanna modify my passat too, it's a passat S 1.8t but I was kinda scared to tune it because of the transmission have you had any problems with it, or is it working just fine? also where did you buy the tune and what did you go for stage 1 or 2? how much you pushing?
@@chicatee861You can get away with Apr stage 1 safely with the 09G transmission. Be cautious with stage 2. If you do go stage 2, flush your transmission oil regularly and use trans oil additives. Also don’t push it too hard. Some guys push over 300hp through it with no issues for years and some guys blow the transmission after a year or so.
I have a 15 A3 with the 1.8t and I added a 3.5 inch CTS turbo downpipe, AFE power momentum GT cold air intake and a BullX cat back exhaust system. Way faster and sounds amazing!
Glad to see that @swingman141414, below, plans on doing a rear sway bar. Sorry to see he's the only one here who's even mentioned one. Should be the first thing you all do. Gets rid of that float. Might be all you need, for about $750-$800. The V6 with a DSG tranny was available 2012-2018. The 2.0L Diesel, 2012-2015, also has a DSG tranny. In-channel wind deflectors, such as Weather-Tech makes, won't fall off, and look better, IMHO.
Yeah if I was to get a do over , id just do quality coilovers, rear sway, wheels and tires and a tune and skip all the other stuff. Lessons learned. Saving my pennies for a more powerful car now.
Yes the CTS Turbo outlet pipe and throttle pipe fits the Passat, even tho most after market online stores says it doesn’t fit. It’s a lie because I have installed all those pipe in my Passat and is basically same car. Nice video brother
@@DADMOBILE_Garage yeah mine is 2019 2.0 Tsi it says online it doesn’t fit mine.
