Good video. I am doing this now on a 70 Camaro, one is almost done, other side to go. I didn't like welding the DSE 1/8 metal strips to the 20 gauge steel so I re-enforced all of the 20 gauge stuff which takes a while. Also prepped the boxed in area with epoxy primer, etc so it will not rust as this is a closed area. Will be nice when its done.

Nice video. I am looking into doing a similar project with a 1970-73 Firebird. I have no friends with welding skills so I need help from your guys about the time to install the mini-tub. I am being quoted 30 hours for the mini-tub install and 40 hours for the 4 link suspension and narrowed rear end from DSE. Does this seem correct? Do you still have a DSE discount code? I will also be getting the front suspension package from DSE.

Idaho 2nd Gens The epoxy primer is a good idea. I use it alot and have had no issues in 25+ years

Overall easier so far, but took a bit longer because I didn’t have the skills to weld

I'm planning on getting on for my bandit trans am, would I have to cut the rear end?
Did you lose your shock mount Location when you put in the mini tub?

Depends on the brand of tire, but most can get a 325-335.
