I never get tired of watching this halftime show.
I was in USC's band when they performed and I said fuck this I quit...you can't beat that!

I've never understood how people say that the 101 is not a good band but they are watching the clips everyday! I mean if I don't like something I wouldn't care to go see it. yet along make a comment about it! Baffling! lol keep doing your thing 101. GREAT JOB!!!!

Wow! Every time I see a video on a HBCU band, you always see a negative comment from someone who thinks that that particular band is copying another. So what??? I understand that we all get competitive with the schools that we like but I'm proud that SCSU represented and put on a great performance for a SEC audience! I will say the same for FAMU when they play Miami this season cause it's rare but when done leaves a respectful mark on those who don't get to see HBCU bands perform live.

I went to that game when I was in Basic Combat Training for the Army with the rest of my BCT Brigade. That was a bad ass half-time show!

USC's band was on the sidelines saying, "fuck, how do we follow that up"
Although State Lost, State Tore Up That Field showin USC how to really march. Man I loved being there to see that game. The sad thing is that all USC fans loved the half-time show but hated the team. They got up and left when their own band hit the field what shame. GO BULLDOGS!!!

HBCU bands always go in there and own the stadium..no one leaves during halftime...and I live for it, now the opposing bands want to do "combined performances" when their school plays and HBCU lol :) Even play some signature HBCU band music in the stands now.

I gradutaed from USC and my brother is the drum major who was Michael Jackson with the black jacket and hat on.....if anyone tries to copy that WE SUING!!!!!!!

Im on Clark band and i know we dont compare to the 101 in no way shape or form, guest what we still did inuguration, perform for Ellen show, monique show, nfl games... and guest why, because we have the name Clark Atlanta!!!! So GOODBYE HATER 101 all daY
@jazzastyles dude SCSU has great sound quality its just when it comes to dancing and playing at the same time is a very hard thing to do so therefore it may sound a little off. but other than USC has nothing over SCSU. all of those people came to that game to see the marching 101. look at how full the stadium was for that performance. when USC went on the feild a lot of people left their seats

xdrexdocta, the fact the you are even on here commenting about this clip is the only proof one needs about how great the101 fans know the 101 is. And as for your drummajors, yes they are entertaining, but who knew about them before JSU' s J5 other than U all? BCU announcer's fancy play on words is highlight of their shows sometimes. They have flaws like all bands do. Folks are entitled to their two pennies, even you. All you've said is worth just that, 2 pennies. Hateraid is a hell of drink.

@cruss1989 Actually nothing could be further from the truth. The majority of Americans, especially African-Americans, Loved Michael Jackson. Don't always believe you might see on tv or what others might say about Americans because you all don't know all of us. We have always paid tribute to him, this includes before his passing also.

That's not true. I would say that the 101 went through a rough patch where hte band didn't grow and they finally came out of htat in 2004, but SCSU has had a good band for a long time. In fact, they were doing stuff long time ago that bands like FAMU are picking up now. Ask my mama about it. She'll tell you. lol
