The reason they all used the “melts in your mouth not in your hand” line in the 80s is because chocolate had long had suffered from a low melting point which would see it melt as soon as it was exposed to normal temperatures. This became the focus of research and in the 70s-80s they developed a chemical formula that allowed chocolate to stay solid for longer. We take it for granted now of course.
Ah memories, I wonder where Drifter bars went. Well, assumedly the next town over where rumour has it the cops don't bother checking the underpass... I want a choccy.
That "POSSIBLY her final role" feels a bit ghoulish. Depending on when exactly in 1982 this aired, it sounds like they're either saying "Get in quick, who knows how much more she'll do before she carks it.", or that they're leaving open the possibility of her coming back from the dead and continuing her career as some kind of Zombie Bergman.
Congratulations on your 20th episode, brilliant show, love it
Cheers!
Southern Music Centre is still in business and still at one of the locations according to their website. Lowrey organs went out of business in 2019.

What's with those two old guys at 5:54 doing push-ups (or is it something else?) behind the hill and then those people walk up behind/step on them?
that person walking into the supermarket aisle behind you copped a bit of an eyeful?!?
Yep. Actual supermarket during business hours without permission.
Callan was way more upbeat with 80s galactic music. ChoomChoom!
