So.... I spent the last month editing this.. Why has it taken me so long??? I honestly have no idea lmao. I've started countless Reign edits and always quit them because there are so ! many ! seasons ! and episodes !! so by some luck or miracle, I somehow finished this (pls be proud of me).
I got inspired by maryxstuart's multiqueens edits using the same song and I fell in love and remembered why I love period dramas (and queens!) so much!! Mary Stuart is quite possibly my favourite fictional character (reign isnt the most historically accurate show so in my books the cw's mary stuart is pretty fictional) Mary is infinitely strong, brave and independent and her story is quite the sad one. Rizzio's death still remains one of the saddest moments in the entire show. Anyways.. Hope you guys liked the video :)

This tells the story of the real queen Mary based on real life events. They skipped an important chunk of what happened at the end and just fast forwarded to her death but basically yes Darnley was killed but Mary wasn't implicated until she decided to Mary Bothwell, who was suspected of murdering him. Then, you know the rest. But she wasn't arrested right away like John Knox did.

This is one of the few shows that I would highly recommend. I’m proud to say that I finished it without even skipping. This show has a balanced romance, action, mystery and drama. I’ve learned quite alot just by watching this show. The person who played Mary in the show, really did a fabulous job. It made me cry lmao

I don't know why every time i watch this i remain heart broken and still i want to see again. "The only crime i have committed is to be a woman" this line makes me cry everytime.
In the midst of all suffering, this storyline taught many things. One of them is women included royals were put in dangerous situations controlled by abusing- power men and most beautifully, Mary was a fighter and even after so many loses continued with the purpose she had in life, bigger than herself.
i've read some of her poetry and she truly was a remarkable woman. losing francis was most likely what impacted the rest of her life and her decisions, absolutely beautiful.
Mary and Elizabeth understood each other in ways that anyone else could....the ruling queens always have more difficulties then ruling kings, because we, women, have to prove more and more our power to everyone else...
I learned a lot from Reign and its truly heartbreaking. This captured a lot of her pain.
