I absolutely love this channel! The info is always on point and the retro graphics and feel are so cool that I would honestly watch an episode where you talked about a single trash can. Nice work man!
Another wonderful video! Your work is very appreciated and noticed! I love your videos they make me really happy every time the intro plays (happy shimmy dance) I always learn so much and enjoy seeing footage of places I haven't gone to yet so I can experience some of it. Thanks for these videos Matt
You forgot to mention that in the 2011 fire that damaged the Magic Kingdom's Tiki Room had also destroyed the Iago puppet and its audio tape, and it could not be replaced, and that was one of the main reasons that when it was rebuilt, Disney decided to just bring back the original version of the show.
It's looks like Disney world and Disneyland are same stuff like that before New Disney classic Disney company class starts in the next few years before New Disney classic Joey King conjuring cast of conjuring was saving Disney company class Disneyland before
I have never been to Disneyworld, but I have been to Disneyland ONCE in very early 80's as a youngster. I vividly remember the Tiki room and the Inner Space attraction. Nice. TY.
This was a really well done video, it was informative and interesting! Though I didn't understand why there were little screen glitches toward the end.
So uhh...am I the only one who went frame by frame looking for hidden messages in all the glitches at the end? I thought so. That's enough internet for the day. I'll see myself out.
I had seen the Tiki Room in CA a bunch of times. Then one time I remember seeing a male staff member come out to start the show! I figured they got someone to change the opening remarks of Jose to accommodate the male staffer. But I was shocked when Jose said the usual, "Ah, buenos dias Senorita...". I wrote Disney a sharply worded letter. That never would have happened when Walt was alive.
Absolutely amazing brother definitely my top 5 UA-camrs love the amazing facts and videos and the editing is getting better with every episode please keep up the great work !!!!!!
I did go to the Tiki room in the 60s then in later years we would use it as a brief rest out of the summer Sun after getting tired of waiting in so many ride lines.
The one at Walt Disney World was always one of my favorite attractions! It was a great place to go when you were hot, tired & sticky, because you sat in an air conditioned room. I've never seen any of the later incarnations updating it for younger audiences. The last time I was there was in the early 90s.
Wow this video is very informative also I saw yesterday the under new mangnetmet version it was really cool nice to see Zazu and Igao in thier really curious to see that stitch version of this attraction I wonder if thiers a full video of that version of the attraction also this is now one of my favorite things besides bambi and finding nemo to ever come out of disney thanks for makeing a video of the this it means a lot to me
I loved the Tiki Room at Magic Kingdom. I saw it in both the 1980s and the early 1990s. I could have sworn though that restaurant with the hot dogs was closer to the attraction. I always connect them for some reason.
I’ve been to every Disney park in the world and have seen the different versions over the years (only seen the Stitch version at Tokyo DL, as I have only been once). I happen to like the “Under New Management” version best. Maybe I (and my family) are in the minority, but we loved it; found it refreshing after years of seeing the 1960’s show. Hard to compare the show in Tokyo, as I don’t steak Japanese. They do give you a translation device (think of an iPhone showing subtitles while the show runs), but trying to read the text and watch the action can be challenging.
I saw the original when I was a child at Walt Disney World. it was the most magical thing. And scary for a little girl! I was only 5 when I saw it the first time, and the big drummers and the tiki masks were in my nightmares. But I loved it anyway. And I still remember the songs. "Tweet... Tweet,tweet,.... Tweet, Tweeeeet!"
The Tiki room at Disneyland is in a great spot to take a break , go to the bathroom, relax and then get out of the sun for a cute little show. Its why I believe it endures personally, not that I dont think its great, but this is definitely a factor
Wow, that version with Stitch sounds boring. But then, what can beat an entire room breaking into a rousing round of the Hawaiian War Chant? Sad to hear they shortened the original version of the show, though. I don't remember finding the original long version boring as a kid.
I enjoy You're site very much. Keep up the great work You do and you will evolve all in time. I'm curious Why do other Disney blogs have support or appear to have support from Disney? And do you know what the criteria is for their support or sanction? Best wishes to you Matt
I am in the minority that loved the Under New Management version. My mother and I found it by accident when we were discouraged by a long line on Jungle Cruise. While we have been in the parks three times for me, four times for my mother, we never really did anything other than Pirates in Adevntureland. We would go onto love it because I love Gilbert Gottfried. Then when our family moved to Arizona we got to experience the original which is fun but with more and more being added into the parks, it is an easy skip sadly. I mean Jungle Cruise and Indy or Tiki Room?
Michael King I am actually surprised to find that I am not the only one who enjoyed the Tiki Room Under New Management. I thought it was a good concept and highly entertaining. Not to mention unique and not the same as Disneyland. Thumbs up to you my good man.👍🙂
Yayyay I love the tiki room 🎵 in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room all the birds sing words and the flowers croon in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room 🎵 this is a great attraction
Been to both. The WDW one in 2001 (Under new management) Iago was funny in he movie (but annoying) in the "AA" show. Like the exterior "pre-show" at Disneyland. I remember seeing a 1963 National Geographic Magazine that showed the innards of the birds and a little of Lincoln. It was a HUGE spread about Walt Disney. Talk about the air conditioning. We had a "knock off" version of the Country Bear Jamboree @ the now defunct AstroWorld in Houston, TX which predated the Magic Kingdom in 1968. We were the 4th "themed park" in America. The Great Texas Longhorn Revue had cows, steers, skunk & a misplaced penguin. The AC was ice cold (this is Houston) But it was also to keep the computers that ran the show from over heating. Much like Tiki Room. Although it was built in 1982, there was still a small computer room upstairs that ran the show. When I say small, it was still the size of a master bedroom. LOL Great video about a great attraction that was "supposed" to be a restaurant.
Hey Matt, I LOVE your videos, but I don't personally like the short intermissions that lead into old commercials. I would say maybe do a video of commercials only and then have your videos be continous. Otherwise, I love your vids! :D
James Perez I 100% agree they are sooo annoying and don't add anything to the video. They annoy me not entertain me. Please get rid of the commercials Matt!!!!
Well defunctland decided to split the show into seasons and call all of the previous episodes season 1. Honestly I think that splitting videos up into seasons is a bit weird.
Could you please stop with the commercials? They rarely have anything to do with the video topic and they are honestly just annoying. We are NOT here for commercials. We are here for the history of the Tiki Room and other attractions. You are very informative but please just stop with the commercials and constantly interrupting the video with them. They viewing experience would be much better without them.
You guys do understand that my videos are formated after vintage Disney channel shows, right? So the commercials are necessary. If you don't like them just skip past them.
I love the retro vhs effects at the beginning.
YUM!
I absolutely love this channel! The info is always on point and the retro graphics and feel are so cool that I would honestly watch an episode where you talked about a single trash can. Nice work man!
Thank you!
The end was Lynchian! Nice touch! Makes me excited for S2!!!!! Always great vids Matt! Keep up the great work!
I love the Tiki Room! I have fond memories of getting dole whip before the show and Jose was my favorite

The end of this creeped me out, I've been watching too many scary movies XD
Yes!! I'm so excited, everyone seems convinced this is a lame attraction but it's my favorite.
Taylor Thomas I love the tiki room in Disneyland

This was a really well done video, it was informative and interesting! Though I didn't understand why there were little screen glitches toward the end.
Alex the Historian it’s supposed to look like a 80’s/90’s tv show
I ❤️ your videos.
So uhh...am I the only one who went frame by frame looking for hidden messages in all the glitches at the end? I thought so. That's enough internet for the day. I'll see myself out.

Awesome video Matt! Plus that "Cosby Show" tv ad! So 80's 🤣
And it gives us so much uncomfortable feelings.
92JazzQueen Indeed it does. Especially what we do know in today’s age.😨🤭
Great video dude! You do such a great job presenting the facts. I just can’t believe how good it is!
The Tiki Room is my favorite Disney attraction by far, so while I already knew a lot of these facts, I really enjoyed this video.
Enjoyed this video more than words can say! Thank you for making a pro-quality documentary about this timeless gem!
I had seen the Tiki Room in CA a bunch of times. Then one time I remember seeing a male staff member come out to start the show! Thanks a bunch!!
Excellent work! Very interesting!
This was such a good episode omg
I love this nostalgic 90s feel! brings me back!
i love the vhs aesthetic of this channel
I did go to the Tiki room in the 60s then in later years we would use it as a brief rest out of the summer Sun after getting tired of waiting in so many ride lines.
Tip: Get your Dole Whip at the Tiki Juice Bar at DL and then head into the show!
Went a little meta there. Are we in an alternate reality now?
What happens at the end?
Your videos are so good! I can’t believe they don’t get more views! I really hope your channel takes off, it’s great stuff.

I love the Enchanted Tiki Room the best of all of Disney attractions.
Only been on the Enchanted Tiki Room once, I should fix that next time.
Wow this video is very informative also I saw yesterday the under new mangnetmet version it was really cool nice to see Zazu and Igao in thier really curious to see that stitch version of this attraction I wonder if thiers a full video of that version of the attraction also this is now one of my favorite things besides bambi and finding nemo to ever come out of disney thanks for makeing a video of the this it means a lot to me
Little did walt know his audio animatronics would inspire animatronics actually being in restaurants
I loved the Tiki Room at Magic Kingdom. I saw it in both the 1980s and the early 1990s. I could have sworn though that restaurant with the hot dogs was closer to the attraction. I always connect them for some reason.
4:30 is THAT song??
My favorite version of the Tiki Room is the one from Disneyland, Tokyo
Keep up the great work Matt 😀
I still remember the lyrics to the song. I have not been in there in over thirty years but it brings back good memories
The tiki room is the single best part of Disneyland.
This is one of if not the biggest inspiration for Chuck E. Cheese’s.
Disney world’s tiki room is my whole childhood

You missed the most important aspect of The Enchanted Tiki Room. Dole Whip!
Tiki Room under new management was really good. It’s a shame that many didn’t like it
The animatronic in the middle of the Under New Management version was AMAZING! It was truly something else. Sad to see it go honestly.

Just recently saw that Pop Vinyl will be doing another parks exclusive...this time a two pack enchanted tiki room.
What is the song intro
It's from the Peoplemover music that played in DL!
Are you going full ARG?
Why are there commercials in your vids? also intro is kinda long...
I just started watching your videos and your voice sounded like you were a cute guy and so I looked up your Instagram and I was right. Great videos.
Actually Indiana Jones has a restroom near the end by the elevator
"Lanai" la-NAI not lanny. Lanai is "veranda" or "patio".
You didn't get rid of the patreon ad :(
Hey Matt, I LOVE your videos, but I don't personally like the short intermissions that lead into old commercials. I would say maybe do a video of commercials only and then have your videos be continous. Otherwise, I love your vids! :D
James Perez AGREE, NO NEED TO INTERRUPT THE STORY. And all of the ANDS in the narration become very repetitive.
No need to yell!
Caps = affirmative. ! =interjection; which would mean yelling.
James Perez I 100% agree they are sooo annoying and don't add anything to the video. They annoy me not entertain me. Please get rid of the commercials Matt!!!!
I personally like the commercials.
If the enchanted tiki room will be under new management again it would be hosted by moana, maui and heihei from moana
I Love😙Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki
Creepy ending?

I ❤️your videos.
Ok so matterhorn matt is pulling a defunctland. Interesting.
What do you mean?
Well defunctland decided to split the show into seasons and call all of the previous episodes season 1. Honestly I think that splitting videos up into seasons is a bit weird.
Panery 567 we couldn't think of a better thing to call the revamped show. I suggested season 3, but I think we went with season 2
If you have something better to call it let's here it
how about historyworld
Could you please stop with the commercials? They rarely have anything to do with the video topic and they are honestly just annoying. We are NOT here for commercials. I will fight anyone who has anything bad to say about the Tiki Room. I’m going to get married in there.
Are you kidding me with this fluff. Pay your workers fairly!
Ken Garant yeah, pay me matt
First
