Got a pair of these about two months ago. They’ve been amazing boots but I’m bummed to hear they wear out so quick especially considering I put my pair through hell on a daily basis.
5.11's are around $70-100 more per pair in a safety toe, but they are about twice as durable and a little more comfortable. I find I need the wide version in both brands. They won't last twice as long, but it takes longer for zippers etc to break. Long story short, if they see a lot of mud they die quick and I've never worn out the treads before the sole starts coming off.
If you're running boots hard enough or long enough that a zipper would cause a problem, you don't want S.W.A.T.'S or 5.11's. There are light and comfortable, but not a super heavy duty boot. If you are a security guard working indoors or your boots never see mud, these will last for a couple of years.
Once this video hits 1000 views I'll do the 5.11 Tactical Safety boots.
You ignored the disclaimer then complained about it. Peak UA-cam

I think I know this guy! lol
Well, no sane person would ever buy a boot with a zipper.
